These are the kind teachers we need in any kind of career. The patience, positively and just making her student enjoy herself creates that comfortable learning environment making her want to come back and learn more.

Cheryl seems like such an amazing coach: she encourages the students and makes them feel good about what they are doing, but she gives them friendly criticism so they can improve. You can really see that she wants the best for them. She in herself is such an amazing person as well because she is a fantastic singer and she’s kind and funny. My vocal coach taught me to laugh at yourself and your mistakes, instead of looking at them negatively. Try doing that and the more you do it the more you'll gain confidence! Hope this helps *they don't laugh or mock you, they teach and help you

I can't sing, and I want to learn how to play on a piano and a guitar, and I want to learn to sing. I don't have money for that jet. So I bought a cheap guitar, and I am practicing at home, and I use a free course from the internet and YT, and Then I practice for myself at home singing until I can pay for a singing lesson. And I keep my practice here on my YT page so I can see the difference when I can learn how to sing, and then it will be fun to see the difference from now and after the singing practice. I started practicing at home on and off in September 2021, and I love it more and more each day -

Honestly, I prefer this training than my own old coach😂. If u teach someone, you dont need to stress the singer. But my old coach always teach me with his anger. And it make me stress and cant focus. Sing should be a relax and enjoy😊 Now I got my new coach who teach me same like you.

I wish I could’ve had a teacher like you as a kid. I always wanted to learn to sing, but as a kid, my mother wouldn’t let me. She thought singing couldn’t be taught, but only people who had a natural gift could learn more. So I treated myself to singing lessons later as an adult, but sadly, as a grown-up working full time, I can’t study as intensely anymore as I would’ve been able to as a kid. To all of you parents out there whose kids want to sing: let them!

No, not true. You come here with some talents and yes, you do develop them (or don’t). Not everyone’s got charisma or really beautiful voice like her student Liamani, for example. For professional dancing, you need a certain type of body. And there are many such examples.
I say, you can find time to practice. Im a mother, working full time and I practice while cleaning, doing the dishes, I sing best when I hoover 😂 Don't give up.
@Strawberry Cake I agree but.....some ppl have problems with pitch, had a student who just couldn't hit the note. You can practice that too, it'll just take much much more effort.... Ppl believe in talent I believe everyone is born with an ability to sing but if we don't sing as children we might loose the skills ...
That's why it's helpful to have a singing teacher. It's impossible to hear your own voice as it sounds from outside So you need somebody you can trust. I'm a vocal teacher and I still work with a coach to control and improve myself. 😊
Oh my lord you're exactly what I need. I'm fairly new to doing singing professionally and I'm currently in my first year of university on studying vocals. But I have zero confidence when singing and I don't know the basics of singing which is why I find university so difficult. I wish you was in the UK😩.
Yeah I have seen all of these tips before and do them too. But I'm so much more of a practical worker, I like to have someone with me to tell me when I'm wrong and to show me how to actually do it when I'm wrong like Cheryl Porter does in her videos. You're really an amazing teacher. I had just one or two singing lessons with a woman that didn't know anything at all. She just let me sing, without teaching anything at all about breathing for example. Now, i sing on my own and i have to be careful 'cause i feel my throat ache if i try for too long. No breathing control and i can't reach highr notes like i would like. So sad i found that kind of person instead of one of your kind...i lost the possibility to improve the only thing i love about me. Keep doing your magic, Cheryl, you're realy are amazing.

Honestly, I prefer this training than my own old coach😂. If u teach someone, you dont need to stress the singer. But my old coach always teach me with his anger. And it make me stress and cant focus. Sing should be a relax and enjoy😊 Now I got my new coach who teach me same like you.

I love the fact that she doesn't look at the camera like "Oh im doing this only for the fame" and she records these videos to just inspire people and she doesn't do it just for the fame.
She has a unique way to teach thr singing lessons ... For example : WORKING ON THE TEMPO - It helps to sing on perfect rhythm and helps in gaining cosentration .

I wish I could’ve had a teacher like you as a kid. I always wanted to learn to sing, but as a kid, my mother wouldn’t let me. She thought singing couldn’t be taught, but only people who had a natural gift could learn more. So I treated myself to singing lessons later as an adult, but sadly, as a grown-up working full time, I can’t study as intensely anymore as I would’ve been able to as a kid. To all of you parents out there whose kids want to sing: let them!
I believe that anyone can sing. While working you could maybe practice singing at the same time if you could, and when you have free time you could sing along and jam to your fav songs! To me, music is another way expressing yourself. Hope you are doing well and have a great week! 😁

No, not true. You come here with some talents and yes, you do develop them (or don’t). Not everyone’s got charisma or really beautiful voice like her student Liamani, for example. For professional dancing, you need a certain type of body. And there are many such examples.
I say, you can find time to practice. Im a mother, working full time and I practice while cleaning, doing the dishes, I sing best when I hoover 😂

@Strawberry Cake I agree but.....some ppl have problems with pitch, had a student who just couldn't hit the note. You can practice that too, it'll just take much much more effort....
Ppl believe in talent I believe everyone is born with an ability to sing but if we don't sing as children we might loose the skills ...

That's why it's helpful to have a singing teacher. It's impossible to hear your own voice as it sounds from outside So you need somebody you can trust. I'm a vocal teacher and I still work with a coach to control and improve myself. 😊

Oh my lord you're exactly what I need. I'm fairly new to doing singing professionally and I'm currently in my first year of university on studying vocals. But I have zero confidence when singing and I don't know the basics of singing which is why I find university so difficult. I wish you was in the UK😩.
Yeah I have seen all of these tips before and do them too. But I'm so much more of a practical worker, I like to have someone with me to tell me when I'm wrong and to show me how to actually do it when I'm wrong like Cheryl Porter does in her videos. And it sticks in my head soo much more.

You're really an amazing teacher. I had just one or two singing lessons with a woman that didn't know anything at all. She just let me sing, without teaching anything at all about breathing for example. Now, i sing on my own and i have to be careful 'cause i feel my throat ache if i try for too long. No breathing control and i can't reach highr notes like i would like. So sad i found that kind of person instead of one of your kind...i lost the possibility to improve the only thing i love about me.
