100% agree with listening to your hair- I’m 1yr 9mo, just be careful about pulling your hair too much, it can lead to thinning of your roots and parts. If your hair hurts leave them alone, just let them be free they want a break! For my first year I was retwisting too much and almost lost my locs because of it, I didn’t even realize it until I went to a loctitian. I agree on not using a comb (also part of my problem) you’ll mess up your hair if you’re not experienced, maybe in the front just BE CAREFUL. I haven’t done a protective style yet I’ve been so nervous, but I plan on doing some butterfly locs for vacation. Enjoy your locs, enjoy your journey!!
Very Informative and your skin is giving 💕💕💕
Very informative. I’m in month three and about to put faux Locs over my babies for my birthday. I’m so nervous but these are good tips. Thanks sis 💞
Glad it was helpful! ♥️
Wig grip! Great! Didn't know about those. Thanks
Just started my loc journey today and can definitely say you were a big inspiration in that!🥺
Heyyyyy all the way from Bermuda 💕🇧🇲
Awww thank you so much! You got this! ♥️
This is so informative! Thank you 🙏🏾
And you skin is glowing ❣️
You are so welcome and thank you!
Really helpful!!! Thank you
I'm loving how your edges are laid, what do you use? Also, you resemble Remy Ma, very pretty!
I just got my hair coiled 2 days ago before the end of may and my hair is really short I look like a boy and am really self conscious at work I cover it with a bandana and I want to get jumbo box braids next week!! Idk because I’m scared to damage my hair it’s been a long journey for me trying to love my hair and grow my hair . I want a closure wig for my birthday in September but thank you for now I’m going to check out some head band wigs so I can take it off at home and be ugly in peace 😂❤
I figured with the headband wig i can’t use the combs. I was going to add more Velcro to it because headband wigs will be my go to
Thanks for the idea! I want something new but not something too extra or high maintenence so I will be checking this out+
What do you use to get your hair laid like that?
Great video ,great info beautiful
i’m 3 months in…i already did a protective style, should i have waited?
i am only 1 month in and i plan on getting a protective style done tomorrow 😭. i just really fell uncomfortable in this starter phase.
@@ahylonii lmk how it goes I’m nervous
@@ahylonii how’d it go ?
@@hasleyjones5802 i made it 6 months.. then combed them out. i felt really unattractive with them and like i couldn’t maintain it. but honestly i wish i would have kept.
TY so much for this info! I am 6 months in and I am interested in faux locs over my hair. Did you notice any thinning of the locs after taking the hair down? I have 48 locs and I’m hoping for very chunky locs. Just wondering if you think the faux Liv install causes extra compacting making locs look thinner?
No I didn't experience any thinning from the faux locs. I actually have a removal video for the faux locs if you check out my loc playlist.
Girl I thought u combed them out 😭
They’re still in, I just need a retwist 😭
What about yarn?
I personally haven't worked with yarn before, so I really can't give any feedback on it. Sorryyy
