I did the same with my ls460… sound was great. But when you drive slow and normal, the bass was so annoying. I had some serious drone inside the car, so I had to reinstall the mufflers back.
@@OctogonOxygen024816 it’s fun when you’re just riding. But when you want some silent and slow drive, that drone just ruins it all. Also when you go “drive thru”, they don’t hear a thing 😂
There strong af but just be prepared to have the $$$ for it better to use lexus parts as long as you're keeping up with your maintenance and don't ignore the strange sounds or lights on the dash you're golden
They're 15 year old cars. I'd still take a low mileage from a Lexus dealer with a Lexus warranty. I had an 07 with an off brand warranty and it was a STEAL. Only had the starter replaced.
Back pressure is a myth, you want air flow. Not a 4 inch pipe, but you want a pipe sized so that the exhaust is at maximum flow. Back pressure restricts flow.

@@johnmoore9588 it should increase performance. Depending on the vehicle a muffler delete can add between 5 and 30 hp. Escpecially pickup trucks where the mufflers are over 3 feet long and wide
Nope, the ECU wouldn't have any idea anything changed as it's after the secondary O2 sensor, you could cut it off right after that and it would be okay technically speaking
@@Wickit96 thx that's what I thought I saw someone cut the resonators off with muffler.... That was toooo loud for me lol so I just do the muffler delete. My 20inch Donz Merlino be delivered tomorrow with muffler delete I'm definitely excited doin alittle bit at a time to her. Do u have the led Lexus logo door light's? I did mine looks really good and only 20 bucks from Amazon 5 min install plug and go
@@HexicanLS460L Nice man, and yeah I just wanted to do the muffler delete since it's a nice tone that doesn't make it too loud in the cabin as well, and no I'm actually going to be selling this one soon, finishing up my Supra and have a few things I want to do to the Evo as well but looking to get an AMG to replace this LS 460

I would've padded the cabin with sound defeaning material TBH, it's a PITA but it's worth it when the Droning isn't ruining the drive

How reliable are the 07’s? I’ve seen a lot of reports saying that 07 models are problematic with sensors
Never had any issues with 200k+ miles
