Dylan, I've got to say that the very best thing about almost every one of your videos is that you first establish what is NOT going to work and why but then present what DOES work and why. It shows your vast knowledge and forethought of the audience. Great job.
I am constantly amazed at your knowledge and creative depth. I've gotten so lazy when it comes to animations in FCP. Between AddMotion (which I found thanks to you), and all the amazing animations available in both MBehaviors (again, found thanks to you) and PremiumVFX Animation Presets.... Lordy I have a treasure trove of animation tools. And looking at the incredible amount of work you did to create this tool... I'm so glad I've got them. Brilliant!! Grateful you are here.
I learn so much from you tutorial, especially Motion tutorials. I really do appreciate all the hard work (and it must be a serous amount of hard work) you put into making these tutorials. As ever, Scotland loves you and, as we say over here: 'Wi'oot yer hulp', ah wid be weel 'n' truly up th' burn wi'oot a paddle. Kin th' road rise up tae catch up wi` ye.'
This is a massive effort on your part and I celebrate that you even exist online - Thankyou! Something that would help your videos a LOT would be to demonstrate the end effect briefly at the start so that we have an idea of what it’s building up to. Currently this video only says it in an abstract way at the start - I get overwhelmed by all the fiddly controls (which is why it’s so amazing you are doing this for us so well) - but I want your work to be better received - I hope this is useful for you and doesn’t discourage.
I appreciate the feedback and 100% agree! I did showcase the end result for just a few seconds near the beginning, but I probably should have called more attention to it, since it's so fast. Thanks for the constructive critique!
I don’t want to be in any way associated with the typical toxic comments that exist online. You have a terrific gifting here and are helping a lot of people go a lot further with things.
Thank you for this clear explanation. I followed your tutorial step by step, but I’m stuck at 3:38 when I need to add a 'parameter behavior/link' to Tracker 1. In my version of Motion (the latest version, 5.9), when I click on Source Parameter/Compatible Parameters in the Link window, no dropdown menu appears where I could choose the filter option. I’ve tried multiple times, but it really doesn’t show up. Has this feature been removed?
Hi Dylan, do you have plugin adjust keyframe in final cut pro ( Ease In, Ease Out like Adobe Premiere Pro or in AE ) when we transform footage ? I only use Ken Burn ( because it have Ease In, Ease out ), but in transform on keyframe don't have that. I would like to buy it, if you have that.
Woah, insane episode. Loved it. Motion/FCP needs a better way to handle those HUD controls… or a sort of cookbook or a ‘OSCs for you to use library’. It always strikes me as odd that we have to go and borrow on screen handles from another effect, as a developer it ‘feels off’. It works I guess though. AddMotion has those nice bounce back easing options, just notice that path animator doesn’t have it… wondering how they go about it, or maybe they just use the OSC for drawing and have a bunch of layers with different animation settings for all the vast amount animations they offer.
I agree! It does seem strange. I wish they would just add in an OSC effect you can easily apply, and just choose which parameters it affects. I was wondering the same thing with AddMotion! Ryan did an insane job with that plugin.
I really like your chanel and videos :) I have a small comment: could you have spoken a little slower? I understand that it will take more time, but you are barely intermediate in English and also thanks to you I learn this language heheh I also use in my work these programs . 😁

This is your most underrated video.
