Oh wow! That’s pretty cool - tell your colleagues they did a good job! Hope to have you as my Cabin Manager one day - guess I have to fly on the F100 or A320 at some point now haha
Loved the video. I used to live in Broome doing FIFO. And loved flying back over Roebuck Bay. The smells of frangapani and tropics as the crew opened the door. Absolutely stunning part of the world
Did trip from melbourne twice via Perth as both times off season had resort at cable Beach almost to my self loved it and all flights long day as went back 3 has so left melb 8am arrived perth 8.30 am broom by midday but return had to give up the 3 hrs .
A great video young man, well done! I live near Melbourne but wanted to visit both Broome and Derby, so in November 2010 I did that using QF MEL to PER return in a Boeing 767 each way. Then QantasLink PER to BRM each way in a B.717 on either side of a day road visit to Derby. One of your comments spoke of the (True Baby Airbus) namely the A318; well last September, whilst on my annual visit to Britain I booked myself on a Tarom flight from LHR to Bucharest (OTP) on a an A318. Two months later Tarom ceased operating this daily flight to LHR and withdrew their last A318-111 from service completely a couple of weeks later! How lucky was I ? AIR FRANCE still operates some A318s which are quickly being replaced by Airbus A220s. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Puf’n-Pete
B767 and B717!! Legendary aircraft! Yeah haha everyone is telling me the really baby bus is the a318, and whilst that may be true - I’m referring to Qantaslinks baby bus. I’m hoping to get on the A318 when I go to Europe in 4 months! Safe travels!
As always re "Young Aussie Flyer" flight reviews, a awesome top quality flight travel review & on QantasLink Baby Bus., now that just has to be a win win video to watch🛫👍
Excellent luke broom and Longreach on my bucket list ,Qantas link economy seems to have better food than Qantas economy looking forward to your next one cheers
Great you pointed out PER will become Australia's second busiest airport hub after Sydney. Having recently moved from Sydney I do miss the variety of airlines that serve Sydney International. As Sydney is spoilt for choice on the airlines to choose to travel anywhere 😊.. Perth is limited to SQ, CX, MH, EK, TG, QR, QF, PR, CZ, JQ and some low coast South Asian low cost carriers such as Batik air, air Asia, Hopefully more International airlines will fly into Perth with the investment... Also just heard MEL is also getting another runway plus terminal expansion $5bn investment similar to PER, will PER still be second busiest airport? Or MEL will continue after SYD. Cheers
I’m skeptical about perth becoming the second largest airport by aircraft movement however I won’t be surprised if it happens considering that Jetstar is going to move its A321neo base over to Perth.
Yes Sydney has a lot more airline choices but Perth is slowing catching we've got 2x Emirates a day soon to be 2x qatar a day and air nz is adding extra flights in April too!
@PlaneSpottingPerth460 great info, thanks for the update. Need to see a bit more Asian carriers here for cheaper fares& competition to Europe/north America .. BNE is doing well with direct flights to mainland US.. I think Perth/LAX has the range with a350/b787?
I have Broome on my Bucket list. Wondered if any flights direct from Melbourne?. The true Baby Bus is the rare A318. BA used to fly them from London City to Shannon Ireland all Business for US pre clearance to NY. I think Tarom still has them. Anyway great look at our large red country. Cheers🎉
What a lovely video Luke! I’m a Cabin Supervisor operating these out of PER (Also the A320-200 and the F100)
Glad you enjoyed your flight!

Why didn’t you use your bag drop?
Because I used my silver status to have it done for me

Yes they do, QF1050 can be booked from April and runs almost every month this year, not daily though.
@ftxaviation thankyou.
oi the a319 lol its actually a nice plane
I agree!
Was it a weekend ? Perth is usually buzzing with people between 6 and 8am , with all the FIFO flights.
Twas Saturday morning
Soo smol lol
Yup
Anwser to person asked direct from melbourne or Sydney YESs but only seasonal April to October main dry season
Ok?
So very happy you got 8NR, the "Grey-Nosed Tiger Shark" as us Perth spotters call it
I love that nickname! So unique!
Just arrived back from Broome Thursday - now in Perth and heading back to Sydney today - all flights with Virgin! Great place to visit.
Broome is such a beautiful place!
Sorry
But Perth will not become the second busiest airport in Australia
Oh it’s going to be, you need to look at the figures
@ do you have a link?
