A cliffhanger that teases a coming apocalypse in more ways than one. The post-credit scene for the finale shows us the Omega Level mutant apocalypse suddenly appearing at the ruins of Genosha... Mostly because he heard that there was an unclaimed queen of Hearts playing card in the dirt that he wanted to sell on eBay with $99 shipping.I'm just kidding. Apocalypse went to Genosha in order to traumatize us once again by visiting the very spot that the X-Men Gambit gave his life to stop a century attack that had already taken the lives of countless innocent mutants... Including those of jenosha leader sebastian Shaw and jean Gray clone Madeleine Pryor. As apocalypse picks up one of the playing cards that gambit dropped at the moment of his death

There's so many differences here, that Age of Apocalypse cannot happen even close to how it was in the comics. That honestly, would have to be it's own entire series.

I think Storm and Wolverine is horseman. That can Storm do to planet with bust powers? No sun , no rain, planet will die.
Everything is about Apocalypse.
One Man’s Worth showed us an alternate present ruled by Apocalypse. Wolverine and Storm (as a married couple) teamed with Bishop to undo that reality. In the comics, Morph was a huge part of the Age of Apocalypse timeline that similarly was an alternate present ruled by Apocalypse that required Bishop to prevent it from happening.
That’s where I would put money on them ending up.
Four different Ages of Apocalypse. His rise, his future dystopia, his alternate present dystopia, and the actual present where he tries to enact his plan.
The show previously had Apocalypse try to rewrite history and take over time which brought Immortus into play.
So I would expect Rama Tut, Kang, Immortus and Scarlet Centurion to pop up in the four different timelines.
Or it could be how we get Storm in Season 3 of What If?
Most anime in 2024 got humbled by a marvel animated show, let that sink in 😂😂

Wolverine is gonna be the war horseman , he was in the comics and there’s the “been in a lot of wars bub” line from episode nine. And he is missing in the final moments of the finale when the other X-men are shown throughout time.
It's also how he gets his adamantium back in the comics if I'm not mistaken.

Never been more excited to get off work to get home and watch a television show. Seeing it be 42 minutes, an extra 11 minutes of a straight up masterpiece, my levels of excitement continued to rise. Every single character in this episode had a moment to shine and it was beautiful. Jean Grey brings back the Phoenix. Jubilee.. THEY FINALLY GAVE HER JUSTICE. I was shocked to see that she did THE MOST damage to Bastian. "The name's Gambit. Remember it" really hits when it's delivered by Rogue to Bastian before she gives him a much deserved beating. I loved the interactions between Charles and Magneto throughout this episode as it gives you almost a breather for the craziness going on in the present but is also important to the overall plot. Cyclops has his moments. Morph, Sunspot, Storm, Nightcrawler also shine. SO MANY CAMEOS. I'm so shocked that so many Marvel characters make appearances in this episode. The ending sets up season 2 perfectly. That post credit scene...... amazing. Can't wait for season 2!!!

Yes, Gambit as Death is obvious. Wolverine as War. And if that’s the case then Morph becomes Pestilance and Storm becomes Famine.
Using Apocalypse as a replacement for Kang could work.

Hey brother, fellow vet myself and yes agree, I bet it feels like you put in your service and did the hard part so now you can work on what you are really passionate about in life. And I honestly was never that passionate about comics up until a couple years ago now I love them because as soldiers these are simply the same type of power fantasies humans have been telling for ages, but only in different settings and such. Makes you wonder if Greek gods and that pantheon was literally just their version of comics and we took it wrong thinking they believed it to be real ya know.

That and Batman is what got me into all of this. I think all of that stuff also made me to want to be some real world super hero. Well I appreciate your service as well sir. It’s definitely good to have this type of community with people again.
Wolverine went full feral a year or two after losing his adamantium when Genesis (aka Tyler Dayspring aka Cable's son) tried to put the adamantium back into Wolverine to become a new Horseman War for apocalypse, but things went left.

Gambit didn’t “drop the card at the moment of his death”. The queen of hearts was shown throughout the season to represent Rouge, and was tossed into a fireplace when she decided to confront Gambit about her feelings for him and Magneto.
Pestilence = Leech! It'd be a perfect way to mess with Magneto seeing someone who he's failed. Leech would just need a slight modification to his powers, just like Angel turning into Archangel.
Leech, like Madelyne, was vaporised. There’s no body to reanimate, unlike Gambit.

Colors seem to be very intentional in this show when representing different ppl's abilities or powers, bastion had two colors flash on him and his after images when he teleported behind and rushed rogue, those two same colors flashed over the entire asteroid b4 it "exploded"/disappeared... coincidence? i think not.

Unless you are saying Bastion did it intentionally which seems unlikely considering he was fighting for his life right before disappearing, the colors signify its similar tech/magic/mechanics more so than who exactly did it because those are Kang’s colors as well, he was the OG Blueface.

@3:40 You're assuming there bodies are still in Genosha, which I find unlikely. We clearly see some bodies recovered. I doubt they would be there for Apocalypse to recover.

At this point, we can only speculate;
The one thing that they didn’t show is what happened with Wolverine & Storm. So far, the only thing I can think of is that they’re stuck in the present, and that it’s likely that they’re going to introduce X-Force in Season 2. Also, I ask myself if there’s going to be more of an Intimate Relationship with Wolverine & Storm in the future, and how it’ll effect the future that Cyclops & Jean Grey are in, with the descendants of certain X-Men, including Torrent.
I like Rob's explanation on how the Xmen has been thrown out of their timeline, It is because of Bastion stealing the arm of Cable that has the time travelling device embedded in it that he absorbs.

Silver samurai was shown a couple of times I think in season 2 he could have something to do with Wolverine he does posses adamantium which could be used to restore Logan. He could also be brought in to takeout or help him calm his more feral side. Though this all depends what state Logan is in when returns to the present.
Since I saw ep. 5 after airing, I said that the series was going to end with a teaser of some sort of Apocalypse bringing Gambit back as Death and my God, being right feels so damn nice
I still don't see X-Men '97 really effecting the live action MCU, I think it's best as its own thing.
I think in the comics, Scott and Jean were able to raise cable in false identities. So theoretically, they could’ve raised cable all along and not tell him until they return.
