This movement, in my opinion, was a vast improvement over the Seth Thomas Sonora Chime setup. I don't know why they were not more popular. Surely they were cheaper than the ST Sonora. But maybe Waterbury never made one that struck on bells. ???

      Keith Doster
Thanks! The Sonora sounds way better in my opinion.

I have one of these, I am looking foreward to working on it. Needs re bushing, will have to do it in stages, starting with the going and strike then taking taking off the front plate and re bushing the back plate and the triple plate, so some of the sink holes will be on the inside of the back plate, also I think the pivots will have to be really polished up. Hope I can do it, I have a bushing tool. Had the clock a few years now, got about 6-7 years experience working on clocks, some chime and strike american clocks, english german french strikers and westminsters. About 200 clocks now.

I like the test stand, I usually have to put them on a wooden test stand I have made, so I can turn the hands.
