Just to whet collectors appetite again: a magnificent Fleig 8-day KEY-wound wall cuckoo fetched £7500 GBP at Dreweatts Auctioneers, England recently. I bid for it, but it went for over double what my max was. I've been trying to find out who/where it's gone to! Also, the Cuckooland Museum in Knutsford, Cheshire, England is being wrapped up and going to Ireland I've been told!!! Roman Piekarski very sadly died a wee while ago, the joint owner of the collection, but I knew for some time he was not a well man.

First this is a very beautiful clock. I love it. Second: Gebrunder Kuner didnt exist until after George Kuehl. Per the NAWCC posting that I have posted in the Featured items above. They started in the late 20s or 30s I believe where that is about the time frame that George Kuehl was hanging it up. I have a Black Forest group expert (Valentin Weber) in two of the groups that I am the admin for on Facebook who confirms what I just said. P.S. Do you want to sell this clock as I know someone who is wanting a huge cuckoo clock? Thanks.

it makes me extremely happy that such an impressive and intricate piece of machinery from such an old era is still up and running like new, its beautiful. also quite happy that joe himself is still around and seems as spry as ever, considering most videos of him and his fotoplayer are like 10 years old, i wasnt expecting to really find any new stuff about them both. glad i was mistaken!

Chimes spring does pack a huge punch! Had to switch strike and chimes barrel due to having issues with spring not winding.

My grandma had a seth thomas mantle clock. I possess this clock as a heirloom after she passed. This clock I have is from 1912. I had the glass replaced and the mechanisms lubricated. It has a lovely chime. My grandma had a collection of clocks that my other relatives have as well
