First this is a very beautiful clock. I love it. Second: Gebrunder Kuner didnt exist until after George Kuehl. Per the NAWCC posting that I have posted in the Featured items above. They started in the late 20s or 30s I believe where that is about the time frame that George Kuehl was hanging it up. I have a Black Forest group expert (Valentin Weber) in two of the groups that I am the admin for on Facebook who confirms what I just said. P.S. Do you want to sell this clock as I know someone who is wanting a huge cuckoo clock? Thanks.
A lovely example. The figure for the music, however, is not original. Often it is a seated zither player. I have a 4-tune 1-day wall cuckoo-music and am really needing to get it properly overhauled/restored. The music is too fast, the cuckoo call is too fast and hands/arbor is needing tightened.
2 of my musical cuckoos need restoration. My Kuner fox and eagle cuckoo clock needs it's music ratchet to be fixed(that broke in 2020 and no longer drives the music box train) and my 16th cuckoo clock(unaware of manufacturer, but it may be Hubert Herr) needs a total overhaul on the music box as I damaged it(broke 3 teeth off and bent about 3 or 5) foolishly attempting to fix it myself not knowing how precise music boxes are as it's comb was a tad too far from the cylinder even before I bought it.
@@gaiuscoleman8815 I am building a few cuckoo clocks right now to save up, hopefully about 3 or 5000 quid. The music box repair is what's most expensive.
OH WOW!!! What a beautiful clock, I want to buy it so badly now. But 2 bad I only can afford less than £450
What's your process for cleaning a case like that ?
@@jeffstimeantiqueclocks4476 What are you talking about, I don't repair clocks
Will it be for sale or not? I want it.

Thank you but it’s not for sale. It was a repair for a client of mine. Nice info.

@@CBF1 that's a shame. Our hobby can be so expensive. Hope you're saving up hard. Thanx for full account of your 2 cuckoos
