This looks fantastic. Also, streusel topping can be made in bulk and frozen for longer storage. Use the needed amount straight out of the freezer; there is no need to thaw. Sometimes I make muffins and want to top them with streusel, but I don't feel like making any right then. Out of the freezer the steusel comes!
I know, right?! Not to mention this is the holiday season where all these treats come out to play! :D This isn't a meal, it's a sweet treat to enjoy with a cup of coffee.
I have been making this Martha Stewart recipe for years!! It’s so yummy!! 2 tips. 1) For those who can’t have Nuts, or don’t like them, you can swap out the pecans for chocolate chips. That’s what I do. 2) This is more of a heads up than a tip. I didn’t have a tube pan, but I did have a bundt pan. I figure it was similar. Well I can NEVER get it out when I make this.
i always find it funny when people complain about the amount of butter/sugar that goes into a bake.... like, no one's telling you to eat the whole thing lol. bakes like these are meant for sharing. (or i mean, you /could/ save the whole thing for yourself. just not in one sitting)
Well, I knew that I was doing something wrong, but I couldn't put my finger on what it was, until just now, when I watched the video again: I put the streusal in the middle, and the center on top. But, like all good cooks, I will present it as "this is the way it is supposed to be" and everyone will love it.
I slightly altered this recipe! Instead of 1 1/2 sticks of butter I do 2, and completely eliminate the center she created, instead i use the struselle topping as my center with the little extra butter and more light brown sugar. Also, I add 1/3 cup of dark brown sugar to the topping
Coffee cake needs a revival! I feel like it was such a thing in the nineties and kind of fell out of favor. It is beyond time to bring it back - along with all the streusel-topped muffins!
Coffee cakes are delish my mom made them to have coffee parties she served tea also.coffee and 🍵 tea.coffee cakes suppose to be sweet and delish.Pound cakes call for lots of sugar and butter also.if you are a baker you would know.
I think she used a two piece tube pan where the bottom and tube part are one piece, and the sides another. So you would push up from the bottom to release from the sides then gently lift up from the bottom piece to remove it completely. Works similar to a springform pan.
I'm not a fan of nuts, so if I wanted to leave them out of the cinnamon swirl that goes inside the cake, would I alter the brown sugar and cinnamon amounts at all ? Thanks !
I disagree. She looks like the kind of woman who grew into being pretty after a long awkward phase. She probably would have left anonymous uplifting messages in your locker.
Looks delicious can't wait to try it! I made this healthy cranberry and apple coffee cake recently and it was so good! ruclips.net/video/95UHzsiKR4U/видео.html I'm definitely trying this next.
I've always wondered that. I think it gets its name because it's meant to accompany coffee, like how tea cakes are eaten during tea drinking time or something to that effect.
yes, that's correct, coffee cakes were named after the coffee they accompanied. People drank coffee at eleven in the morning and it was accompanied by a rich, buttery cake, whilst tea was drunk in the afternoon and the cakes were lighter
the butter I can live with.. but not the amount of SUGAR!! Gaaahhh!!! Three quarters of a cup in the streusel, a quarter cup in the swirl, a cup of sugar in the cake, a cup of confectioner sugar in the glazing... that 's THREE CUPS OF SUGAR in ONE cake!! If you don't already have diabetes, you'll have it after eating this cake...
Doing this for brunch this weekend. Can't wait to add it to my repertoire. TY!

Searece Talent great tip!!
Lindsay Strand
Thanks! It comes in handy for sure.
This is such a great idea! Thanks for the tip.
Why do people watch a coffee CAKE video and then complain because she used sugar and butter in the recipe!!! This looks amazing as is.
I know, right?! Not to mention this is the holiday season where all these treats come out to play! :D This isn't a meal, it's a sweet treat to enjoy with a cup of coffee.
Beverly Fields ~ high five ✋ ♥️
You’re so right! This cake is so amazing.
It's one of the major conundrums of the world.
loving lindsay's section on everday food so far!

Spray the pan with butter and sprinkle flour on top. Anything will come off of there lol

I love her segments so much ! She’s so natural and her voice is super nice ! ☀️
The most practical version of this recipe that I've seen.
Beautiful job Lindsay! This looks delicious! 😍
This looks delicious. I am very tempted to make it instead of Christmas cake this year.
You give a great layed back presentation. Very professional and you make it look so easy to do it ourselves. 👍🏽👍🏽
Glad you guys are cutting into the cake!
I love when its lindsay's episode :) thank you 💜
This looks amazing. I love her recipes ❤

This cake would be great with a cup of chai ☕♥️
This will probably overshadow most main entrees if served at dinner, lol! Looks that good!
Looks amazing!!😍
I bet that's delicious

Love the recipe!!! I just don’t understand how she turned it over. Didn’t the streusel fall out?
Can you explain this parte please?

Thank you thank you....you guys are the best. Love from Malaysia
Amazing!💙
Making this rn
Can I make in muffins cups instead of tube pan? How long will I bake for and In what temp?
I'm not a fan of nuts, so if I wanted to leave them out of the cinnamon swirl that goes inside the cake, would I alter the brown sugar and cinnamon amounts at all ? Thanks !
Anyone else thinks she looks like Reese Witherspoon's daughter, Ava?
I thought the same thing!
lov it
Can you use Apples instead of Pecans?
Thank you so much, but I’m not find the sour cream what I can do ?
I've seen in many recipes that you can substitute plain Greek yogurt for sour cream.
najlaa al-sayigh you can substitute it with lebna لبنه
I don't have a tube pan, would a bundt pan or reg 13x9 work?
Yes
Hi
Sorry, I can 't find the recipe here
😍
I am not sure, but she didn't add any coffee in the cake. Explain this to me please. Where is the coffee.
It is called coffee cake because it is meant to be enjoyed with coffee. Not because it has coffee in it. Is a pretty misleading name 😊
Why do i feel like this girl's not gonna let me sit at the cheerleaders' table for lunch
Right? she seems like the kind of girl that would lock you in the bathroom stall at school
I disagree. She looks like the kind of woman who grew into being pretty after a long awkward phase. She probably would have left anonymous uplifting messages in your locker.
Tommy... because you're judgmental prick?
@@britneyfan45 You seem like the kind of girl who judges strangers negatively for zero reason whatsoever.
@@peshgirl Yes.
Did you even add the coffee?.. it's really a great recipes tho
u so sweet more than ur sweet :) , and the cake it's perfect
dont leave the nuts hanging out
It looks good but aren't you meant to put coffee in a coffee cake like this? Just wondering. Btw I do plan on trying this.
Coffee cake is a dessert served with a cup of coffee. It does not mean the coffee is IN the cake. :)

Searece Talent I was about to ask the same thing. Good thing I looked in the comments :D
@@ariel3725 That's like asking "Where's the tea ?" in a tea cake
Lovely just too much sugar
TOOOO MUCH BUTTER I can feel my arteries Harding!!!!
I'm sorry but that too much sugar, or maybe that's an American thing. I'm doing this but using one third of the sugar.
Portion control. if you're afraid of too much sugar just eat a smaller slice.
yeah just adjust to your own liking~~
I always reduce sugar on recipes
It's not pronounced 'strusel', it's pronounced "shtroy-sel" or at least "stroy-sel".
Too much sugar
Lots of butter in there 😑
Leila Leila Berroug Such cakes are the best 😉 Better more butter than sugar
Hhhh ok ^^
welcome to making cakes theres lots of butter involved
I'm pretty sure you could replace the base cake with another cake of your liking, and you'd still get a goo result.
