I really enjoyed this one. I constantly argue that connection and community are essential to wellbeing (and meaning-making), but I have not considered the value or place of suffering from this lens. Definitely food for thought!
Great discussion about some of the deep meaning things in life that are not discussed as often as they should be. It's sad but people don't think about the things that you mention nearly as much as they should. I never really understood triathlons either, but you made more sense explaining why people do it, good job! While no one wishes for pain and suffering in life, how you can learn and grow from life experiences is especially important. I think it especially makes you appreciate the good things in life more and not take them for granted.
