Wow! Such a dramatic transformation! You obviously thought very carefully when planning how your new space would function and did a smashing job - I'm sure it was a lot of work to plan and shop for but you ended up with a jewel of a house with a great traffic pattern, a fantastic view to your private yard, and multi-use rooms. Your house looks 5x bigger than the original. I love the Zen vibe, but it's inviting and comfy at the same time. I also have plantation shutters on all my windows so I loved yours, too. I'll bet you have many friends and first time visitors who are green with envy when they spend time at your place. Great style!
Jax T I am so so so happy with how our home has turned out.. the kitchen and extension is the hub of our home and we all sit together there :) this home makes me so happy.. so much work to get it to this stage but it was all totally worth it :) xxx

I love this, it's such a personal home but still trendy at the same time. If I were to design my own house I would love to have an open floorplan like you with the kitchen, dining area and living area together 😍

Hi Kerry, aw it's a lovely home. Compared to how it was, you've done amazing work! But that kitchen now.... OMG .... its beautiful and I'd never want to leave it (& I don't cook ha ha - but I know my husband would love the space too)! It's fab. Xx
That’s my favourite room in the house :) I love cooking and cooking in this kitchen makes cooking even more enjoyable :) xxx
Kerry I'm sure it does! I totally get it and it'd probably inspire me to cook 😉. Our kitchen is due an upgrade soon ( saving up AGAIN for it) as it's the final room in the house to be done. So maybe I will be more inclined to cook in a new kitchen than our current 30-year old one lol. But hubby has his range cooker for now and is a brilliant cook so can't complain. I dabble with baking every now and again and love watching your cooking vlogs too. Are you happy with an island? I'd like one but I'm not sure. We're knocking through the dining room and kitchen into one big room. Anything you wish you'd done/not done in your refurb? Xx
Aahh I would say 200% get an island.. I LOVE mine and I love having my hob in my Island too as it makes cooking when we have visitors so sociable :) I definitely think a lovely kitchen inspires me to cook so hopefully it will make you feel the same too :) xxx

I knew you could get a steel long enough across the back this is one thing we regret doing putting a pillar part way through and having a set off 5 bi-fold doors and a pillar and then a set off 3 bi-fold doors it is still very open to the garden and let’s in a lot off light but having them all the way across is a way better option.
My hairline Needs your help Aahh no what a shame :( yesmy architect said I had to have a pillar and I was gutted when he said that.. then I pushed back on it and he asked a structural engineer and they said it was ok to have one long one! Xxx

Beautiful home. Youve done an amazing job. I'm going to have a similar layout to you do you mind me asking how much you was able to extend out buy. I know the width is 7M as you mentioned but what did you go out buy ?.
I'm doing a 3M rear and 2M side. Will be very close to yours. I'm also doing a portch extention to. So lovely too see one done how I'm going to have mine ❤

Aahh thank you so so much :) I LOVE renovating houses and am really ready to do another one :) our extension cost us around £70,000 for the build but that’s without including the kitchen and fixtures and fittings etc.. that does include bifold and skylights though :) xxx
