Black could be nice but a bit boring - I think a nice pop of colour. Maybe an orange or a rusty colour? Can always paint it again if it doesn’t look nice!
Yes thats exactly what I was thinking.. I thought if I painted it a not to bright colour, I could then accessorise it with cushions and ive now ordered some baskets for the hooks too.. im so excited to make the entrance way a bit more special.. I just really need to find some good artwork!!! xxx
Lots of comments saying to paint the bench black. I agree it would look smart and go with the other black bits, but it’s safe and unimaginative. I really like the green colour, in fact I thought it looked lovely before you said it wasn’t finished.

A rust/ teracotta color would hide the dirt/sand from the shoes or even a tan but I also took my foyer and did the same thing as well It looks really pretty with the hall makeover
I think you should get a thin ikea cupboard and get a carpenter to make it look like it's built in. Hall is big enough for it. You could do a double cupboard and a single one. Make it narrow for shoes and then coats but they hang on flat rather than normal way. If it looks built in you will be fab.

You could paint the storage bench in teal blue, brown, blush pink, gold, yellow, orange, grey, white, black or cream white for your shoe storage bench. Pegs are so handy and ideal for your hallway because when you come through the front door you can hang up your bags and coats onto it. I just love plain pegs without any baskets on it. I love your white chair in your bedroom it looks so lovely, cosy and modern too. I love a cosy and peaceful home! 😍💗. We have a bed with 4 drawers and is nice and high, (might look old fashioned but much more practical) a lot of money just for a topper! Would rather put money towards a decent mattress.
I am in the U.S. and tried to use your Emma code, but it didn't work for me. :( I think your primary bedroom looks absolutely lovely, I love how much the topper puffed up! ♥ I think you should paint the bench black for sure, but you may think that's too much black in the entryway of your home. Whatever you choose, I'm sure it'll be amazing!
Oohh yes of course.. it’s actually paint and paper library again and a shade darker than the hallway.. so it’s Slate III it’s such a lovely warm colour :) xxx

Oh it must just be the camera angle or the way I’ve made the bed as it’s a king size bed so is the perfect fit for Chris.. he is 6’1’’ and it’s great for him :) xxx

I would have cladded tbe wall with shelving on top for baskets and put bench with drawers to hide runners. Hung coat hooks that are usable.
Maybe the bench could be painted green my favourite colour or back would look good too.

This is an Emma mattress ad so should have had AD on the title, you’re normally pretty good with these kind of things so it’s a bit disappointing
