  • Today, I’m talking about a somewhat obscure topic: Kellogg’s Screamin’ Fruit and its advertising. If you’ve seen commercials with fruit humans who slaughter sapient fruit, that’s what we’re talking about. This includes media speculated to exist or not preserved online. Listen along and see what the campaign was, how I learned about it, and what may or may not be out there. If you have any answers to the mysteries discussed, let me know.
I’ve wanted to get this video out for a long while, and I’m glad I finally have. If you enjoyed this video, a like would be appreciated (Don’t worry, you don’t have to subscribe).

Didn't think I'd make an update so soon but...
The Lemon Genie's name is CONFIRMED to be Sadie!
The genie stuff, still not confirmed.
I found this forum.vizrt.com/index.php?threads/lemon-on-the-run.108574/ site, and lo and behold, her name is Sadie, AND we get concept art for the Print Ad AND Sadie herself. Was her name supposed to be Buffy?

      I'm glad you like her.
"Sauci" was a semi-fan-character I designed when I was bored in class (that's what I remember, at least).
She's a tomato because it's savory and usually used for the opposite of sweets (meaty, wheat-y meals), so she's kinda opposite the Screamin' Fruit gang. Her clothes were colored to look like pizza toppings.
I wrote her character to be like: "that fruit gang is despicable, that lemon girl stretched a poor lemon on the side of the street. Not to mention that somehow, that Sorbabe chick has an active fanbase, I'M CUTER THAN HER - AND NOT A SADIST - WHERE'S MY FANBASE!" She still uses bits of tomato juice for making sauce, but she's not cruel. Now she's kinda just my fruit persona for my research.
I tried my best to make the character look like the Screamin' Fruit gang in the final illustration, but I made it a while ago so it isn't perfect (the eyes).

These were the most sadistic adverts I’ve ever seen, tied with Pop Tarts and of course Kermits creepy uncle Wilkins.

RUclips recently recommended me a video that compiled almost all of these ads for this campaign, ever since then I’ve strangely started becoming curious and fascinated by these characters. Idk if it’s the devilishly goofy character designs or the psychotic plots being about fruit killing their own kind lmao. I never expected someone to actually do this much proper research on an early 2000s ad campaign but here we are, I actually stumbled upon your wiki before discovering this video (altho I’m glad to know I finally know who created the site).
Also you mentioned a streamer reacting to this commercial at some point, since you mentioned vinesauce vinny at the end, I’m gonna guess it’s from him. Do you remember the stream where he indeed saw the ad?

In an earlier version of this video, I went into detail about the specific stream. But that was scrapped because I didn't want to use too much of other peoples' content that wasn't necessary.
He saw it in this stream: ruclips.net/video/CJn1FRHqrv0/видео.html
This was before the Commercial Chaos name was chosen and used.
Additionally, I sent the uncovered animation test ad to him as a "publicity stunt" of sorts to try and bring attention to my investigation, but most chatters during the broadcast instantly thought of the Rubicon fruit cheating ad lol.
That can be found here: ruclips.net/video/FA_ba6NGI8M/видео.html (While editing together the video I didn't resize the commercial so its kinda small.)

OMG wait are you one of the ppl working on the ChewChat wiki? They found pictures of 'Stealth' the raspberry guy :D

      @StarriHoshio  Месяц назад

I made that site and am the only one who updates it (besides like, one other person who shared a comic and got a credit on a page who came by just to change the way they were credited). The picture of Stealth was found on flickr as part of a gallery of creations by "Digifreak" (the collaboration responsible for the Tropical Demo).
Anyway, sorry if I'm being an annoying broken record, but if you have friends, let them know about this stuff. If you've got British friends in their mid to late thirties, ask about this stuff (maybe they've still got old comics lying around).
