Teddy, thanks for a great review! Just a remark: they used to have mineral crystals, now classic models equipped with sapphire. But that's definitely should be double checked with the seller as they can ship an older model.
Teddy I could be late...Orient released a small video in Jan 2020 roughly six minutes long...it’s rare for them as a culture and even more rare as a company. 6 mins long but a lot of information!

Orient Star is by far my favourite brand. I have a black dial Retrograde and the Blue hands, white dial Star Classic. Both absolutely fantastic. The detailing and finishing on the Retrograde is amazing
I love my Orient, and I’m wanting a Citizen now. I’d really like the have one in titanium, sapphire, radio controlled, and eco-drive. You can get all that for around $700.
@@appalachiangunman9589 I just got the Eco-Drive Dive Super Titanium with sapphire case and it is just beautiful!!! Hope it will last for a long while.
It's such a shame that Orient don't sell their watches in retailers here in the UK whereas there are plenty of Seiko, Citizen and other major brands available. I personally came across Orient watches online and I own four Orient watches. For the price are really great value for money. I am probably going to purchase a Orient diver watch soon and I am thinking of getting a Kamasu which I really like the look of due to the available different colours. Thanks for posting this video on Orients Teddy, I really enjoy watching your channel.
I grew up in Bogotá,Colombia . In the decade of the 70’s Orient was very well recognized brand for his quality and I remembered going with my Father to the Orient store to buy watches for him. Recently I gave to my Husband a 2 ND Generation Bambino version 2 with white dial and blue hands. Good review
Teddy!! Smashing presentation Amigo! We truly are spoiled for choice this days. In a time when well established, beloved brands like Rolex and others seem to be resting in their laurels and not take chances with new designs, it's simply fantastic to see all this variety from a quality manufacturer than more than fill the bill for an everyday carry or even special events. Oh and at a reasonable, realistic price. Love your work Keep Awesome!
Imagine if Rolex sold a ceramic or titanium-cased Submariner. They would run a train on you before they even allowed you the priviledge of putting your name down on the 1,000 year waiting list. Also it would cost $100,000+. Rolex sells the idea of luxury and exclusivity. Sometimes it takes the form of a watch.

To sell out to another junk watch company for $100M in only 7 years. Wow! Mad props. Besides, they're not fooling real watch guys and gals anyway.
I'm normally not a fan of skeletonized watches, but the Orient Star (the second one shown in shades of champagne and tan with blue hands) is, to me, a work of art. The way the colors and patterns work together is extremely appealing. I've seen photos of this one on several other websites and have been blown away by it from the very first. Now if I only had the $1895 asking price!
Orient Star is an absolute killer brand in my opinion. They offer so much more for the money. Some of their dress watches have the specs and finishing that rival Swiss alternatives that cost 10x as much. There are a few discontinued gems in their line that punch way beyond their asking price.
Got my first Orient yesterday (EM75 XL Diver watch). BEAUTIFUL!! And Big, has some serious weight to it. And if you like luminescent watches, this one is it! Will hope to add the Helios later, love the look.
Two things. I don’t want these videos to turn into complete reviews and want them to be more about mast exposure to new watches you might not know. In addition lug to lug is a measurement most manufactures don’t include on their site.

Great video, I'm glad you're giving Orient some love here. They have many great watches that get overlooked. My favourite is the Orient Star Star Seeker. It is a GMT, with sapphire crystal, 100m, and a power reserve. Great looking watch that you can find for around $750 or less. Highly recommend.

I would mention the Orient King Master day/date, a weird but cool watch and maybe the neo seventies panda solar chronograph.

Great list. Another Orient that doesn't get much love is the hulking Orient Mako XL. It is a non-JIS 200m WR diver with an in-house automatic movement. They are lovely! They are on the larger side but wear really well on a variety of straps. Do have a look at those. Would love a video on those as not a lot of videos on them out there.

Teddy, Where do you place Orient as a watch brand in terms of quality. It is clearly not a luxury brand, but are their automatic watches better than Seiko’s? How good of a brand is it overall? What is your personal take on them?
The Triton is fantastic, and great value. So is the Star Classic and Bambino. Too bad I can’t/won’t buy them because my style 90% of the time does not at all go together with something that dressy. I did buy the Bambino just to find that out. It doesn’t matter that a watch seems amazing, if it either doesn’t fit your style or is too big/small for your wrist.
Please do a review on Orient world time watches. They are a lot of watch for the money compared to the comparable Swiss watches. I have a black Journeyman (discontinued model) and I get a lot of complements on it. Also the perpetual calendar watch reviewed here comes in a world time version.
Hey, Teddy, do you think it would be possible to show the casebacks of these movements as well? I know that the dial is what you see most of the time, but knowing if or if not a watch has a display caseback is really important to some people. Anywho, just my 2 cents.
Don't comment much but really love the channel been binge watching for about 2 weeks. Just opened my first restaurant so stuck with my TJ Maxx citizen and casio for now but you help that itch while I wait.
That full skeleton is intriguing, I may look more into it. They also have their Eclipse line which look amazing but come with integrated bracelets, so that may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Helpful,I like most of them.Beautiful.
Teddy,
Where do you place Orient as a watch brand in terms of quality.
I own a Mako II and it is a really impressive watch for the money. Can you do a review of the Orient Tri Star watches in the future please. Thanks
I was hoping you would mention the Orient Disk. 😢
That is a unique watch for sure. A real eye catcher with the various colored indices. 👍🏼🇺🇸
Awesome video, every day i enjoy it my ray ii
Any chance you have a list of orient movements with seconds per day? As a comparison of quality?
Orient is awesome. I still love my Polaris GMT. Great vid, Teddy.
Don't comment much but really love the channel been binge watching for about 2 weeks. Just opened my first restaurant so stuck with my TJ Maxx citizen and casio for now but you help that itch while I wait.
Glad to hear that mike! Thanks for leaving a comment finally
The power reserve looks so good!!! Although I agree it's a bit less cool on the automatics.
looking for an automatic GMT on a budget, any recommendations? I was thinking about the Orient Polaris GMT but I have a small wrist and it's 42mm.
I really wish the amazon links for all of these watches were posted so it was easier for me to buy them.
I like the Orient Star Green Dial

Is that a good watch for the price?
That full skeleton is intriguing, I may look more into it. They also have their Eclipse line which look amazing but come with integrated bracelets, so that may not be everyone's cup of tea.
Glad to learn more about Orient!
