Many thanks for the in depth video and multitude of watches covered!
I know your channel is working as is, but please consider slowing down your speech delivery, and maybe having 2 videos? for this amount of covers? :)
I'd also love to hear you talk about the Quartz/Mechanical movements used.
It seems so easy to pay £200 more for a watch with the same movement as an 'aliexpress' one. Are we really getting +£150 of better case and bracelet quality??
Anyway, thanks for your time, and I hope I gave some constructive feedback. (Yes, no hate trolling here).
Yes. A similar video on orient Star would be appreciated.
MUCH appreciated
Heck yeah, I want to get more solid info on the Orient Stars.
Glad you made this, there's so many Orient watches out there it's nice to just have a good review of all of the best models in one place!
Ben, my favorite light bulb 💡
😂 i see what you did there
Nice name tho.....😂
I understood that reference.
Ben getting roasted by his own viewers 😂
@@Foxxnioxx
...rather affectionately.
Love Orient, safe and affordable with some quirky and interesting models, yes please do an orient star video, thanks Ben.
Great video, Ben. The Orient Star definitely deserves a mention and perhaps it's own video. I find they are a huge step up in fit and finish.
The Orient superking with the red wine colored vintage dial looks gorgeous.
Always entertaining and informative. Thanks Ben.
Orient is positioned so uniquely in the watch market. What a wonderful brand.
Yes, please, a round up on the gorgeous Orient Stars would be marvelous!
Brilliant as always. Much appreciated Ben.
The green/orange Triton was my first automatic watch and I still love it. It took me a while to truly realize how insanely good its design is as well as the lume, the bezel and crown action which are nearly unmatched in all my collection.
Great video, Ben!
I bought a Bambino a few days ago. Thanks for uploading a video on Orient!
Yes for Orient Star line-up. Not much quality info about it.
Great vid! Looking forward to an Orient Star one.
I appreciate the comprehensive list.
Love these videos
Excellent video, well done.
I love my Ray raven. I just got the Mako 40 in white. Love both watches. They wear very well due to the smaller dimensions. But best thing about them is the value. The quality far exceeded what I was expecting to get for the money.
Got the Solar Panda and it is GORGEOUS
I’ve been enjoying your videos. It’s great to see affordable watches discussed and showcased (and some scams exposed). Anecdotally we have the same wrist size, so your videos double as a demonstration of what specific models would look like on me. 😎
I bought an Orient Bambino V2 with the champagne dial and aside from the microscopic date window is an awesome watch; in my opinion rivalling the Tissot Le Locle that my wife bought.
The red Kamasu was the first watch my wife bought me. Valentines Day 2021. I don't wear it a lot, but I still like it.
Terrific review Ben! Bring on Orient Star next!
Nice video, Ben.
The Orient Maestro was my first mechanical watch. A few things to mention as an owner:
-I guess I was under influence of the fashion watch at the time because the design looked great, but nowadays a think its quite boring
-My version has a pretty impressive 100m of water resistance
-Although not super thick at 12mm, the thickness is towards the top which makes it a bit difficult to wear under a cuff
-Mine was running at +20s a day. But once the warranty expired I regulated it my self and now it runs consistently at +3s a day
I really like the mechanical orient maestro. The blue hands and hour markers are unique and the raised crystal is a great touch.
Def can’t wait to see something on Orient Star!
Just the video I've been waiting for
2 weeks after my son was born I had open heart surgery. Needless to say I bought the open heart Bambino.
My name translates to 'fawn' and his to 'friend of deer'. Needless to say, it was a no-brainer purchase
You can tell how valuable Orient feels when you see zoomers and influencers mistake an Orient Bambino for a luxury watch just because of how classy it looks on a leather strap from that one Teddy Baldasarre video.
What
@@santorini8423 Teddy has a video where he has zoomers and influencers see if they can recognize watch brands, on the last segment, he lines up a bunch of watches with varying straps and the Orient Bambino kept fooling people into thinking it was a luxury watch because of how good it looked on a leather strap.
Very helpful video. I'm looking to buy a new Orient and this is just what I needed. Would also love to see a video on the star models.
Great video, Ben! I saw the BambinoV2 w/subdials being called "Bambino GMT" or "Bambino Version 8"
Another great video Ben. so close to 200k now. u guys going to AG this year?
I have a blue ray 2 and a Bambino small second. I love them both. Orient makes really good watches. Thankyou Ben for this great list
Black ray 2 was my first real watch purchase. I was thinking of a bambino but I wanted something more everyday than dressy. Still my most worn watch.
In terms of chronographs, I think Orient Neo 70's Chronograph looks quite decent.
Bought my 38mm Bambino because of you and defo considering a Kamasu pretty soon!
I wish they would bring back the Orient Monarch⌚👀
I own a Mako 3, in a JDM exclusive burnt orange fumé dial colour with orange and grey bezel insert. Fantastic watch. Also own a black dial Orient pilot watch. Type B dial flieger that’s excellent for the money asked. Love my two Orients, but still very annoyed that there are NO Authorised Dealers in Australia, so I have to go grey market, as overseas ADs aren’t allowed to ship to Australia 😢
Yes, the flieger is awesome. I really wanted a flieger and couldn’t afford a Dekla, so the Orient flieger scratched the itch. Wearing it as I type this!
That symphony would be great in 38.5mm. And I have an 8 incher. 41mm is just too big because it’s all dial, no bezel.
A. Thank you so much Ben for doing such a great overview! B. Orient Star Review (IMHO) is a no brainer and absolute necessity... Will be on the lookout for it 🙌🏼
You should have included the star line as well! Best looking orients in my opinion
I love Orient, I have a Mako II, it's great value.
I wish more orient watches had 20mm straps and 40 mm or less diameter
Hey Ben, there's this Orient Symphony 4 that use a Sapphire Crystal for pretty much under $200!
Good content. 👍
Thanks for the break from the dozens of rolex videos. My picks would be the kamasu red dial and the cream dial 38mm bambino.
Orient also has another great chronograph. The Orient Neo 70s Panda.
I have the Ray with a strap code bracelet and the original bracelet. Love it.
Like the Mako Sport in purple, I'd put a quality black leather or silicon strap on it 👌🏻
Excellent tour through Orient. I have always thought that one could put together a varied budget watch collection based on Orient alone. I own 3 Orients and am happy with all.
I love orient. I wear a black dial ray 2 almost daily. I cook for a living and the watch has been more than impressive. If orient is listening, My Christmas wish is for a 36mm explorer "style" watch at the ray/mako price points. I recently took to ali express because I wanted to try 36mm and not be out a bunch of money. Of course I went straight to the orient catalogue but no luck. I now love the size and would probably daily an orient in this format.
Thank you for detailed review of orient lineup
I love my Ray 2 and waiting for Ray 3
Hey Ben, this video made me pull the trigger on buying a greenish/tealish Kamasu V1. I had been hesitant as my wrist is smaller so anything over 41mm gives me pause but seeing it on your wrist and understanding how the lug to lug makes it fit closer to a 40mm really helped and I really liked your suggestion on the color. LOVE the watch.
hi! May i ask you your wrist size? because i also have small wrist size (6.25 inches) and i was wondering whether the 41mm would suit me well
@@marcosziadi9230 same wrist size! I love the watch so far
I hated my Kamasu until I got a black ceramic bezel mod from Long Island watches. Now the watch is stunning. Really worth it.
Yep love to see Orient Star video. /thanks
I have a blue dial Kamasu that I put on a black and blue NATO strap because I dislike bracelets. Lovely watch, got it for like 150 bucks.
I don't own any Orient so far, but I've had a couple of Neo Classic Sports in my Amazon cart for a long time. I will definitely pick one up before they go out of stock.
I have a Kamasu and a bambino (original, i know). Love them, they look and feel great.
My favourite is the ORIENT ”Bambino” Small Seconds (RA-AP0002S10A) which gives off Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Small Seconds Q1218420 vibes.
Love Orient watches. Top, top brand. Tom at Tus Watches is an absolute star. Fantastic guy to deal with
Both my Orient Defender II (blue dial, stainless case) and the Triton (green) have the best lume I have seen. I also love my Bambino.
I have one of their dive watch (Mako) with the Pepsi bezel. I like the watch quite a bit, but my only grip is the size of the crown, which is pretty small and somewhat hard to manipulate.
I'd love to see a video on Orient Star!
I own the red Kamasu, and absolutely love it.
Like the KAMASU watch with Black and Gold trim. I just wish the warranty was longer for their watches, might be why they’re on the cheap end.
Thank you very much for the review Ben! Besides the Mako solar chronograph, there is the Neo 70s lineup of chronograph watches made by Orient. I believe that it is worth mentioning or reviewing too.
I am so glad to realise that so many Orient watches are great in so many ways yet remain extremely affordable. I really appreciate this review summary of the best Orient watches available.
I own the short run Mako USA which predated the Kamasu by a few years. Looks very similar to it and has sapphire crystal. My only complaint is the small crown.
Ive got the green Orient Maestro with 10 atm water resist and Sapphire glass!
I love tuning in to watch the white Headie One review watches
Im actually selling my Defender 2... I have a couple Orient watches. But I don't wear it enough. Great review as always!
16:10 I would prefer acrylic if sapphire wasn't an option.
I'm very much over (was never into) the whole TiFfAnY bLuE thing, and I've never considered an open heart dial, but that RA-AR0009L10B (ugh) looks stunning. On the shortlist it goes.
Neo Classic is my fav of the bunch also.
You should have included the marlin watches, especially the marlin chronograph.
Excellent video (as always). As much as I would like to buy an Orient, all of their sport models are much big. I think guys don't realize how ridiculous a 42mm watch looks. Orient needs to move toward 40mm for its divers and solar chronograph -- then I would be buying.
Would LOVE an orient star video. Hard to find Orient Stars in person in the US to test out, but they seem awesome online. I've had a Bambino for years, very happily, now ready for an upgrade in the orient fam.
Don’t let this the lack of a real review of the Kano detour you from this great watch. I have a 7inch wrist and this is a fantastic diver. I often swap between my 5 digit submariner and my Kano
Kano looks great with the white dial damn. wish it was smaller.
I bought a Kamasu red dial several weeks ago. It’s an stunning watch and actually looks better in person vs watching this on video
ayyy I have the same Kamasu 2 in the thumbnail! beauty dial
The Orient Flight series was my entry into the automatic watch world. I have one in each of the dial colors (green, cream, black, etc.) in the “B” dial. The Flight series is rather basic as some have noted, but the B dial always gets comments. Orient improved the series when it upgraded the movement to hack and hand wind. (I have the first movement which doesn’t hack or hand wind.)
My favoite RUclipsr + My favorite brand
Nice!
The open heart and maestro for me
what do you recommend for someone with a 21 - 22cm wrist?
The bracelets and lume is far better than anything Seiko has put out
Need some 36/37mm models.
I have the Triton with power reserve. Or did they change it to the Neptune?? Anyway, it's a freaking beast of a watch and certainly too big for me and I should probably sell it but it's such a great piece. I haven't been able to part with it.
I have the pepsi version of the Triton. It's somewhat overshadowed by the Mako and Kamasu but I think it's the better watch.
I have a superkiing krystal,i love it because realy looks like a 1970 watch, when a live in costa rica in 1990 you only see old watch in shop, tag heuer from 1970,old citizen and seiko, and all were looking like the orient,of course its a watch very old fashion but its for me very confortable,i am agree anout the bracelet who is very cheap...could be better, and 50 meter water resistant its a joke, but who goes at 100 meter with a rolex?
I was waiting to see mine haha I have the RA-AS0011S10B, what do you think of that one?
I really wish the Symphony line got more attention, I have a Symphony IV in blue with the leather band, and it’s a very nice looking watch, the dial is black to deep dark blue in lower light, and in certain light is a bright, brilliant, and vibrant blue, the hands and indices are quite nice too. It has a sapphire crystal and a display case back, it’s also smaller than the III by a little bit; even at its dimensions, it doesn’t fit seemingly that large, the proportions of the dial to case make it appear smaller while not making the dial look like it’s drowning in the case. mine had some QC issues, but I expect that to not be an issue. (I always seem to get products with QC issues even when said product is praised for QC😂)
I'm glad other people like the SK, but yeah, build quality takes it off the table
White dial perpetual calendar with a classic black leather strap looks like 20x is price, consider that too!
Anyone have insight into how or when to get an Orient Ray II serviced? I've been daily wearing mine for almost 5 yrs.... still keeps great time.
My girlfriend just bought me gorgeous green Orient Star diver, and to my shame I still don't know a lot about their lineup, so a video about it would definitely be nice!
Love my kamasu v2
Please review D1 milano skeleton watch
It surprises me greatly that the M-FORCE series isn't shown on more watch channels. The greatest dive watch available for the price, in my opinion.
