I love the silly justifications for choices associated with different days of the week. But I think there are still gaps in your lineup. I mean we all know that every week isn't like the others. Frankly I'm surprised Grand Seiko doesn't have a dial that evokes the feelings of the snow packed and piled at the end of the driveway after the plows have come by and you suddenly realize you've gotta dig yourself out when you're already running a couple minutes late for work. They should really get on that.
@@DarylChangs Haven't watched the full video comprehensively yet, but I'd assume 3594.50. I love this one, tried it, not compatible with my #IBWC wrist :( (Jenni Elle reference, in case you're wondering...)
I love the romance that you put into these videos and the manner in which you discuss watches. It’s so needed. It reminds me of the beauty of early HODINKEE that went away after 2019 or so. Thank you for keeping the flame alive of why I love this hobby.
That's a great week of watch wearing you have! I'm going to spend some time today and pick out my own 7 day collection for the upcoming week. Great idea and video today! Thanks
Great collection!! I love IWCs,too. Their simplicity is insurmountable. The watches have a unique presence. Love the AT,Willard, too. And the GS is just brearhtaking. Congrats from Warsaw!!
I can only say that this collection and how you present it is fantastic! I can't describe why I am enamored by your collection, but it is simplistic and sensical and it strikes me well.
Congrats on the 100K Max it's very well deserved That's one awesome collection you have there Really enjoy the content you put out so keep up the good work
One of the best made SOTC video I've seen. My favourite was the Spitfire. AND... if you go for the Submariner - definitely aluminum bezel 4- or 5-digit one. Well done!
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from amzwatch and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Great concept and fun video! For me the determining factor in the week is wfh vs in the office (wfh unlocks a “pocket watch on the desk stand” bonus pick). At the weekend 1x yard work watch and 1x church watch.
My thoughts exactly. If not for the Seikos it would be incredibly boring, everything is around 5 - 10k. A piece from a different price point, from a lesser known brand or straight up just from Germany would break it up nicely. Like a Glashütte Original or Lange in place of the Aqua Terra or the Sub.
I'm afraid I have to agree. And I'm a little surprised as the channel does champion a wide range of watches. However, this is a personal collection and not a suggestion for a collection. There is a difference.
Bizarre comment about the Submariner’s “whole body” aside, I loved the editing and style of this video. You have an absolutely phenomenal, well thought out, impressive core collection. Well done! And thank you for not taking money under the table from brands.
Great collection I love almost every one of them. I went Chrono on IWC so I'll use Fleiger Friday from now on, and love the Omega choices. I really like how how you associated days with watches made it a fun video, keep up the good work. Oh and that Cartier is my next must have..
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from amzwatch I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
Just got my first watch in my bucket list, a 48 Zenith Pilot GMT. Fell in love immediately. I got big wrist and i can wear watches up to 55 mm easily so a 48 Pilot looks awesome. Next watch is a dress watch and thinking of 41 Navi green from Breitling.
New to the channel Max - great content, very enjoyable! Love the strap on that Alpinist...I've been trying to fall back in love with my old SARB017 and can't seem to find the right look. Thanks for the inspiring take on a week's worth of wrist wear. Cheers for a joyful 2024.
Hey Max. Great video! I’m especially glad to see that you’ve hung on to your Willard. Your original video was integral in my decision to buy mine 18 months ago. I still wear mine everyday and love it. ✌🏻
A truly magnificent collection, inspiring young students like myself. Congratulations again on the quality of the videos. P.S. I'm from France and I'm still learning English through your videos, which actually motivated me to study in London in 2023.
Lovely collection! You have a bit of every big brand and that’s awesome. Don’t let go of the santos, it’s an icon and you’ll miss it a lot once you realize there isn’t a watch that quite styles you up like it did. I miss mine every day.
What a well thought out and diverse collection. While I agree that the 14060 you have has a ton of personality and character there are some benefits to the new models. So you should have BOTH. I have the polar 16570 for that tool vibe and its all scratched up to add to the patina which gives a unique feel. I also have the maxi case 116610LN and while you are right that its a colder design it is also something else. It is Rolex moving from tool to jewel. The watch feels like a bank vault and especially the bracelet is best at any price. I love the vintage stuff but the new stuff is amazing too. Like the difference between an air cooled 1989 Porsche and a 2024 Turbo S.
Fabulous collection. I had a PAM177 many years ago and sold it as Panerai didn't really speak to me. They said, the 177 is absolutely the best 3-hand PAM in my opinion.
Great watch collection! Cartier Omega Speedmaster Omega Aquaterra Grand seiko IWC Panerai Rolex If you swapped out one Omega for a Breitling you would be perfect.
Definitely a dream lineup. I have a Mk XX, BB58 and CW the Twelve. Cartier and Grand Seiko are next and a Sub once I can get one. That should be it, hopefully lol
Always enjoy your videos Max! Happy 2024 & all the best! I thought for sure the Jack Mason GMT Watch Crunch collab would make the extra 3 watch lineup. Don't get me wrong , your 7 day lineup is awesome
Your reviews are terrific and I appreciate the watches that you profiled, especially as a Seiko fan. For 2024 have you considered something a bit different to add to your collection? Maybe a Montblanc, Bucherer, or CW?
Impeccable taste. A thoughtful, well rounded collection indeed. Not the Rolex I would have chosen (I think the 16570 is a cut above in utilitarian factor and less "me too"), but superb nonetheless. 👏As for the way forward, I think you need to up your dress game; you need a JLC.
I'm sorry... I still don't understand "Speedy Tuesday". I guess I'm not "worth my salt", but it would make more sense to have "Speedy Sunday" seeing as Apollo 11 landed on the moon on July 20th 1969 (a Sunday). Maybe someone can explain the actual rational behind this?
How about “field watch Friday” for those without a flieger? Could that be a thing? 😅 I’ve always thought Sunday was ‘Funday’, but I suppose the sub could still work for that, ready for wherever the day takes you!
Nice watch collection and a great video! Can I please ask for your opinion on two watches, I am struggling to choose between- Longines Hydroconquest or Oris Aquis? I am looking at the 43mm variants… thank you
Our core 7 rotations have a *lot* in common. My Speedy is an 861 from 1973, my Seamaster is the 300m in green, my Flieger is the IWC c.03 for Collective, my Panerai is the Submersible 42mm, my Rolex is a blue DJ41. Where it's different : 'Grey Thursday' is the Horage Supersede GMT, and my Mondays are for Blue Dials with a gorgeous 2007-ish Breitling Windrider. What has me feeling guilty is I currently rotate through four of them, while the others could easily be someone's ideal 3-watch collection.
I love that you broke watches down by day of the week as that is how I assembled my collection. I am available for an interview is you are ever desperately short on content ;-)
Brother I love love love the 14060. I sold mine a few years ago and had immediate sellers regret for sure. I’m looking for a last of the 5513 series now as a replacement. I missed mine so much I actually made myself a Seiko Mod 5513 with a NH38 no date movement while I wait to find the One I’m looking for. This Seiko isn’t too bad either complete with a super domed acrylic crystal and a faux patina dial. Not a bad choice while awaiting the 5513 I will eventually find. Cheers
This is very true, but who can actually afford a collection like that? I definitely can’t and while I’m not envious of these high fallutin’ collections, they’re also not that relevant to me either. So, for that reason, I’m out.
You’re simply not in their tax bracket. Im sure they have an appreciation for Seiko, Oris, Hamilton, etc, but the luxury watches are on another level the same way Porsche, Ferrari, etc are on another level from a Mustang, Challenger, Supra, etc. There are plenty of RUclipsrs that review more affordable watches.
The next phase in the journey is when you realise the core collection is filled with staples which are not rare. The flex is never enough. We need something no one you walk past is likely to own. The search for minute details begins.. Single red, double red, spider dials, dot over 90, PAM pre-V.. and on and on. Happy hunting
Really entertaining video - I think you are a cut above because you are serious without being too pretentious, and production value is high. I also think your taste is great. Loved seeing the Rolex in there - that's a nice model. I was hoping you would throw in the Seiko Sarb 033 at the end there - but the alpinist always gets the love for some reason.
I am struggling to find fault. I really want to. But I actually really really like every watch. Ah I know, the 57 chrono I would have got in green. Yes!! Well done on 100k delighted for you. Happy 2024

As an aside, while the bracelet is comfortable, it is awkward to latch, and on mine, the pins work themselves out a little, and I have to get my watch tools to reset them. Most likely will trade this piece in on something, just not sure what, probably a Speedy 57.
