    I'm going to make one of these for my husband's insulin needles. He often forgets whether he took his injection or not, so he can fill this with empties and can keep count of how many he should have on a given day. Thanks for the idea!

    Sure looks better then the old coffee can I been using for the last 100 yrs. Your making grandma tidy up her craft room. Funny I never make stuff for myself always for others. I guess its time to think of me and also use up some of my stash. Thanks for the tutorial.

      i crochet and knit, and i find it is good for crochet hooks, notions, dpns, and other little things. I could see this being good for my day job- as a music repair man... I could make one for my guitar and ukulele repair stuff when i have to go on the road. i may even make it like a book and put a pocket on the outside for a packet of guitar strings so they dont get kinked when i throw it in my repair case

    Love this.. I have been keeping my crochet hooks in a cheap $1.00 plastic pencil case, but I am now learning Tunisian Crochet and well those are huge LOL so i need a case big enough to hold them.. plus i have learned that you need your hooks in a case because over time of the hooks banging in that plastic box they will get nicks and the nicks will catch on your yarn.. so I need to fix that.. I love your tutorials !!! thanks

    I like using hair elastics for closures like this. So easy to coordinate with the fabric because they come in lots of colors. Dollar Tree!

    Oh awesome. I have been wanting to make a nice "roll" for my crochet hooks instead of putting them in the jar that they are in. Also would be great for my kids toothbrushes and toothpaste for overnight and grandmas.

    Hi Vanessa. If I were to try to make this with the cork fabric I have purchased from you, would I still need the reinforcing white fabric you put between the front and back pieces, please? TIA

  • @Vocalist1969

    If used laminated fabric inside this would be great for makeup brushes or artist brushes. Laminated fabric would prevent staining.

    Would you do a video on creating coin purses using different frames? Maybe some with gussets and squared off bottoms. I have several different sew on frame tops for coin purses, but I'm not sure how to create the fabric purse and how to figure the size.

    Do you think it would come out good if I use fleece interfacing? Or do you really recommend the thermalam plus?

  • @HRHDMKYT
    @HRHDMKYT 9 лет назад

    Great versatile project! I would use cheap muslin for the pocket lining, rather than wasting the gorgeous designer fabric strips. Otherwise, lovely and easy to make!

  • @annwitten4359

    Do you think that I could make one of these for my son's favorite matchbox cars? If I did two pockets where the openings are in the middle of the roll, do you think they would stay in or pop out? Also, that thermolam plus, is it different from fusible batting or the bosal foam? I get confused... Thanks for your help, Vanessa! #geminisrock

      Ann Witten I think that if you made it longer so that you have a flap to fold over the cars first before rolling it that would hold them in better.

    Hi Vanessa. If you weeks ago I saw a Robert thing you had made that could be taken to a retreat/class, and in the center you had a large square ruler and rotary cutting mat. I can't find it now, of course. Do you sell a pattern for that? Thanks for your help.

      Pam O'Brien Just a hint for videos that are too fast (or too slow!) if you click on the little gear down in the bottom right corner, it says "Settings", and in that little menu that pops up there's a speed option and you can slow it down or speed it up as you see fit :)

    • @carlynholmes

      Dee L Thank you...information about adjusting the speed of the videos is new to me.

    • @June31946
      @June31946 9 лет назад

      Dee L That doesn't help one bit because slower then Normal is at .50 which is no help. This is the only Tut and I watch alot and I can usually understand at a normal speed. She just talks way to fast so if I can't ask for her to TALK a little slower. I will just leave and I have been following her for awhile. Jeni doesn't talk that fast and Even Rob who talkjs fast and excited like I understand. If she can't talk slower Oh Well!
