One of the best skills a dad can have is being quiet during a game... The more you can be quiet in a game and just take mental notes of things to work on, the more confidence your son will have. It's tough to do, but it MUST be done, if you want your son to continue playing baseball. With everyone in the audience who thinks they are a coach and critic, your baseball player needs support, not constant coaching every pitch or every swing. BE QUIET!!!
You're absolutely correct. During a game is not the time for coaching. Thats what practice is for. As a youth coach myself I try to stay mostly quiet. If its something little that I can see I might try to give my players cues that might give an immediate result but thats about it. Parents tend to ruin youth sports.
Thanks for the videos Coach! I've been coaching rec ball for several years now, but ad a former catcher/infielder, I never had formal training on pitching and feel that developing pitchers is my weak spot as a coach. I'm gonna use your videos to improve on that! Thanks a bunch.
Thanks Coach. I’m our select teams pitching coach knowing only basics. These drills have helped a lot. Question though how far should a youth pitcher be working on these drills?
Depending on the age 910 11 year olds maybe started 10 to 15 ft and work back to distance and then older guys you could start maybe a little bit further away and work back to their pitching spots feel free to send me an email sometime if you'd like to connect
Thanks k you so much. There is /was a guy named Tommas Luce that coached in the area. Might look him up on Facebook. Be blessed buddy and feel free to check out my digital books that may help I'm the description there is a link. Be blessed 🙏
Great video! My son just starting pitching and this will be helpful for him. He is 8, so how many throws should he be doing on this drills? I saw that you commented a recovery post workout, is that ice on shoulder or what else should we do? Thanks
For a right handed pitcher, does the angle of the toe landing matter? Does it need to be straight at the mitt, or is a slight angle to the right permissible?
Thanks so much for the pitching tips coach. Pitched today and didn't do so well. I have pretty good velo but my accuracy is not the best. Hope I can do improve after this video
Hi coach ! I've got some problems with my pitchers accuracy this year in the 18U. Are you recommanding those exercices too even if they already have 16-18 years old ?
Yes 100% - The more you can practice your forms correctly the better the outcome. Also focus can be an issue. Look the ball into zone from start to finish. Keep the head still in movement of body. Thanks for sharing Randy.
Do you have any tips on how to not be nervous when pitching. I just started I'm pretty good with my Accuracy but when I get to full count I throw a ball. I'm new to baseball. Any tips would help.
2 to 3 days a week until they are pretty consistent with strikes. Keep volumes manageable and please get a recovery done post throwing. Thanks for the support 🙏

Great video. Can you recommend an affordable pitching trainer in New York City who shares your “arm” philosophy? Thank you!

If you have a minute check out under my playlist tab the recovery workouts I think that would be something to consider post-throw

Slight angle 45 or straight. Everyone IR & ER is different due to genetics. So find what comfortable and work from there. Good luck
Hey coach thank you for giving me drills to practice
Very welcome

Try pitching with earplugs. I found it easier to focus on the catcher without all the added noise around me.
Awesome video. Curious as to what the zoned screen is you have as the backstop. I tried a quick search but couldn’t find one like it.
Thank you for the support. I think I got this from the baseball ranch website. Hope that helps.
Cool
What’s that target you are throwing at? Where do I get one?
K target. Get it off Amazon
Can you make a video on how to throw a gyroball
Perhaps. I've never thrown a gyroball so I will have to play with it.
