    Hey if those speed sensors fail and it continues to go into limp mode, change the ecm. I did this with a junkyard ecm for $35.00 and it runs great! It's been about 15K miles and doing great.

    Is there a shift solenoid that’s easily accessible in this car? Just changed the sensors but I couldn’t find the solenoid. Best research I’ve done says it’s in the transmission. Shooting my shot in these comments now.

    Helpful video, but my car must have a different size or type engine because the air filter hose thing was not moveable and really was a pain to get around! There was also some type of cord over top of the shifter cable that made getting the bolt for the speed sensor out nearly impossible. But 1.5 hours later, success.

      abs speed sensor front drivers side. Take wheel off and see whats up. Scan first. I put an aftermarket radio and obdii bluetooth scanner. Scanners are like $20. Anyway I can plug this $20 BT obd ii into any car thats parked within 50 ft of my other car and scan everything. I bet whomever did your brakes last didn't mount it to the brake line bracket. 2 lines 2 brackets 1 bolt. its a total B to line everything up. If my wife wasn't hawking over me I'd just mount the brake line and use a zip tie for the speed sensor. A lot easier if you have a lift. I hate getting under cars even with 2 jack stands and a jack with 3 tires on the ground. Had a 2.5 ton craftsman jack fail on me 15 years ago. Thank god all the tires were on or I wouldnt be writing this. I had to dodge the rear pumpkin from smashing my pumpkin.

      Mine was stuck in 3rd. Those are symptoms of bad sensors. If you can get it to an automotive store and get a diagnostic done, they might be able to tell you which sensor you need. If not, buy them both, install them one at a time, and see which one fixes the problem and then return the other.

      Best way to know what you need is to have a diagnostic check done on the vehicle. Autozone offers free diagnostics. From there you can usually determine which/both sensors you need.

    • @johnonthecooldoe6338
      @johnonthecooldoe6338 2 года назад +1

      Do both then clean the whole area with crc letric parts cleaner. I'd pick up a can of crc belt conditioner while you're at the parts store and condition both sides of the belt with the engine running. You can also use the lectra cleaner to clean all the oil out of your alternator from your leaky upper valve gasket.
