A 392 can handle 7 pounds of boost as long as the car is properly tuned. That is crucial to keeping that motor sound.

I actually did a car review of a guy with a 392 running 4psi of boost on the stock block/internals. He is getting almost 600 wheel if I recall. He drives his car HARD. So far so good.

They have killer E85 kits. Haven’t really pulled the trigger yet buttttt I will once I get my goodies in 🤫
@@ExoticCarBlacklist wit e85 u run that risk racer x having now. Since it made with corn cold fronts etc affect the supply. Can be hard to find sometimes. They have kits that allow u to run both just another option to consider
@santana scat Facts bro. I guess I should be specific in that. The kit I was looking at allow the flip from e85 to 93 computer assisted which allows the ability to run both. You never want to get caught with an e85 build for a daily driver only a track car.

Corn does nothing for your 392 it is much better for boosted cars. Do not put your 392 on corn you will not see any gains not nothing worth it that’s for sure

I was thinking about something like this. Get a used sxt, completely gut out everything under the hood and slap a hellaphant in there and throw a widebody kit on 🤔 1k horse with a widebody for less that the cost of a hellcat. I don't know if that is possible though
Seems like a lot of work . Labor would make it not so worth it in my opinion
The only thing about the sxt platform is that you would have to put more money into it than this video speaks of. Axles, mounts, fuel pump etc. I would use a V8 platform to do that. For a Hellaphant, if I used a Charger I would honestly use the Redeye platform. That’s a lot of power being made. 😂😂

Don’t blow it up with too much power. Upgrade your internals.
It’ll be some work but definitely worth it.
I think it will be in my opinion. You don’t have to take out the motor to build the bottom end, it’s a simply remove add in build. It’s at most 8hrs of work to have a 600+ whp car.
your math leaves out that paying $3K to $5K more ends up with a Hellcat at about the same power and a warranty. E85 has alot of bad issues with corrosion of the fuel system. I did find quite a few 2016 Hellcats for $48 to $56K which are already out of warranty and ready yo be modded. One only had 3K miles on it.

Hey @David Peterson what area do you live in? Those are some great deals! I personally wouldn’t buy a hellcat out of warranty or non-Widebody. My price range would be higher unfortunately.

Can’t argue you there. The 392 motor can’t support a boosted setup without extensive amounts of money in replacing parts before.
im gonna use my warranty to fix everything on my car, forge my internals, tune, boost cam and throw a whipple on my 392
