This is a day one buy for me. I LOVED the DnA cosmic saga of Marvel. Annihilation is my favorite comic book event and I loved Annihilation: Conquest. Also, Richard Rider is the best Nova!
I am so excited for this book. That new cover is ridiculous. So awesome. I loved Annihilation. And I read it during a period when I was really struggling to enjoy my comics. It happens.
Might pick this up. You seemed to really get excited about the story in prior vids, and that’s contagious I swear!

It is Out Of Print again :( I wish Marvel announced Annihilation reprint first so that I would buy this. If I knew Annihilation reprint was going to come back then I would buy this in a heartbeat but since the first book was already OOP why would I buy the second book right ? I wish Marvel would reprint in order so that we could follow easily. Unfortunately now I have to wait for another reprint of Annihilation Conquest omnibus :( I don't see the logic them reprinting second book before the first one tho.
Phenomenal book. Can't wait to get my new copy.

There was a copy of the first printing in my LCS for years that I'd put off all the way until I read the Annihilation reprint. I went to buy Conquest that very week and, of course, it had sold. Sod's law in action.

Just ordered my copy of this Omni! I really hope they do a reprint of the Annihilation omnibus though because I would love to have both books together in print

@@forsakenV12 Marvel went cheap on any other books, epics now have ridiculous quality, epics form Quad Graphic had better quality - I know how it sound.

Great overview and comparison, man! Love it. Really wish there was a way for Marvel to show us what’s under the DJ and the spine when preordering. I hate having the DJ cover being the same as what’s underneath. Oh well! Algorithm gang!

Just snagged an original minus dust jacket for £40, should be here midweek. I had been planning to pick up the two volume set rather than the Omni that misses some of the Nova issues and the Complete Nova by DnA 1&2. Now the first of those doesn't make any sense as it only goes 3 issues beyond what's here so I guess I'll be looking for a mismatched Nova Secret Invasion and Complete 2 instead. Already have the Guardians run, Thanos Imperative, both Annihilators and some of the lead in stuff to War of Kings so really just looking for the core War and Realm books, some specific X-Men and an odd Hulk to tie things together.
If you're interested in getting the complete cosmic saga then the omnibus releases are probably the cleanest way to avoid double dipping? I read the majority via Comixology so I'm only picking up my favourite bits and that's the Guardians stories i.e. this and their omnibus.
Great comparison and review. Annihilation and Conquest are my 2 favorite Marvel events by far, especially compared to civil war around the same time.
I snagged New Warriors vol 1 because of Omar, which I am really enjoying thanks Omar, but Nova looks so much better in these cosmic series than his poo colored New Warriors garb.

On pre-order for me - very happy this is back in print. This and Annihilation (which I only picked up a month or so back) are one of the best Marvel crossovers. In fact Conquest is even better than it's predecessor (Warlock!). A big nod to Andy Schmidt, Bill Rosemann, Keith Giffen, Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning - and a whole host of stellar artists for this true event. And of course all of this and DnA's excellent Guardians - was the template for the GOTG movies that followed.
YES! One spoiler I didn't talk about. You get TWO Warlocks in this! :)
I was supposed to get this but i want the omni reprints later this year more. Hoping Marvel still reprints this in the future!
Maybe the 3rd printing will be better than the second (paper, colours) ?

Any idea if Marvel is planning on re-printing the TPBs of Annihilation? I have the complete collection volume 1 but volume 2 is impossible to track down at a reasonable price.

If I have the two oversized hardcovers that came out years back when the event came out, is this omni necessary? I was thrown off a little, how is the event mapping in the book? Does it have issues in a full reading order, or lump all the Nova issues together?
So those OHCs don’t contain any issues of Nova, but it’s the same.
I got the first annihilation and am going to pick up conquest, is there any Nova reading order? I've wanted to get into him more recently

Have Wolverine Vol. 1 gone out of print again? Weirdly out of stock in a few places but then listed as being printed in August later this year with the same ISBN? On my birthday, no less.
Yeah wolverine is suppose to get a small restock later so if ur thinking of picking it up, do it!

Are you finding more gutter loss on a lot of the re-prints? It bugs me a decent amount and I prefer the old way with minimal loss.

I honestly am not a big fan of omnibuses, but I will be getting this because the trades for Annihilation Conquest can be pricy.

I’m a little disappointed that the DM variant changed. It’s still cool Wraith art, don’t get me wrong, but I probably would not have ordered the regular cover over THAT particular variant.
I did like the one with Wraith and the sword.
I noticed that switching covers is a new Marvel standard. First Aphra, now this, earlier covers were switched DM with standard on Thunderbolts and Spider untold tales.
Should i give it a try since i hated the first Annihilation omni ? the dm cover look sooooooo good

@@NearMintCondition well i didnt hate it hate it but it was extremely way too hyped for what it is i liked some parts Annihilus was the most disappointing thing he did absolutely nothing it felt like steppenwolf in the whedon version of justice league to me empty villain but the whole making of the cosmic universe establishing alot of characters was the best thing in the omni and the files with all the infos on every characters too. If in conquest they focus more on the characters and less on the event i might like it ( 10 min later ) after rewatching you're video for the third time i bought the dm variant one 😁
@@gab7809 Ah that's the problem with so many stories. I remember that was my feeling towards The Kree Skrull War. This one is my favorite out of the modern cosmic saga.

Looks so cool. However, it's totally useless to me since Marvel won't keep the original Annihilation Omni in print. Can't understand why Marvel wouldn't want both omnis on the shelves.
That came back into print last year and had a restock in October. Sadly it might be a while before it comes back again.

@@xanarxanar5681 What does that have to do with this printing? Are you assuming one error means all Marvel books have errors too? If that's the case let's throw away all our DC books for that Superman by Morrison error.
@@elvaquerovaquero5243 I didn't write all Marvel books have errors, Bendis Daredevil reprint have error with two pages in original printing it was ok. The difference between Marvel and DC is that DC replace that Superman with copy without errors and Marvel not.

marvel needs to abandon this turkey printer. thin pages and now dull colors smh. i might skip and wait 5-10 years for a reprint lol
the black levels are atrocious for a book that takes place in outer space imo. maybe if it was non glossy pages, but not like this. NOT LIKE THIS!!
if the omnis are selling more (which they clearly are) its shady business practices cutting corners and making second rate books like this. call it hyperbole - i call it not respecting the art or the consumers. #peace
If you like to read two pages at once like in Defenders or Eternals it is very good printer :-) This books are worse every year, I suggest to buy first print.
@Hip-Hop Happens. I honestly don't mind at all. I know it bothers some people, but for me I like reading the book in physical format and this may sound weird, but I like the thin paper, more room on the shelves. As long as its not Gideon Bible thin.
