    Patriot Ordnance Factory in TNP! We take a look at another Semi-auto Precision Rifle (SAPR) in the P308. It competes against such players as the S&W M&P10, Daniel Defense DD4V1, KelTec RFB, RRA LAR 308, DPMS LR-308, Live Free Armory 308s, and others. While heavy, the piston driven POF P308 performed amazingly in one shooting dynamic and actually the competition should figure out how it does it and improve their own products (in video). It was exceedingly fun to shoot. Accuracy, features/build, value, SAWC, POU, materials, quality, and firepower are all covered in this Gun Review Video (GRV). It will be compared against the DD V5V1 and a certain question is posed that is answered in the end. Congratulations are in order to POF however as it has put together an excellent .308 AR-10 option that merits your consideration.

    If I had the cash, I would take the POF. Just for 2nd kind of cool. Also I saw a reliability video , where they tried to get it to have a melt down. It was a POF 416. It passed a thousand rounds non stop. So I figure they make quality firearms.

      Nutnfancy: Are we going to get a POF P300 review when that comes out? You don't do a lot of large caliber or magnum rifles; maybe you could throw in a couple of reviews. If not the P300, maybe the Nemo Omen or the Falkor Petra? Maybe even get in an MRAD in .300 WM or .338 Lap, and/or a DT HTI. I'm sure we'd all appreciate a long, in depth review on a gun like that, especially if the manufacturers are asking a $5K and up price.

    I've never in my life heard someone pronounce POF like it was a 3 letter word. Dude, it's Pee Oh Eff. lol Wow, that was annoying af. And you don't do that with any of the other MANY acronyms you use on this channel on a daily basis. lol But all of a sudden, we're Pawf'n it. lol wtf

    • @MrDanielWP

      OmniDragon You mean acronyms like SAPR ( sapper), that he used in this video?

    • @MrDanielWP
      @MrDanielWP 8 лет назад

      OmniDragon You mean like the "Eff-Nar" (FN AR)?

    • @MrDanielWP
      @MrDanielWP 8 лет назад +1

      OmniDragon Do you say POTUS or P O T U S? Would you say FUBAR or F U B A R? Is it Bat-Fe or B A T F E? Is it NATO or N A T O? I could go on and provide other examples, but I've made my point. You're making a senseless distinction and it's silly to call Nutn out for pronouncing an acronym phonetically as though no one ever does it.

    • @MrDanielWP
      @MrDanielWP 8 лет назад

      OmniDragon Dude, lots of people say POTUS and you know this because you are familiar with the term. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives begs to differ with you, too. I just showed you how to pronounce it: "bat-fee." I like how you ignored
      FUBAR, too.
      Just because you don't phonetically pronounce POF doesn't mean it's wrong to do so.

    • @MrDanielWP
      @MrDanielWP 8 лет назад

      OmniDragon You must be new to youtube. A lot of people say BATFE since the bureau changed it's name from ATF to BATFE to include explosives. People know what you mean if you say ATF, but that's not the correct name anymore. Just because you're clueless doesn't mean I'm wrong.
      Oh, forgot to add, I can name more ancronyms that people pronounce phonetically. If more will get you to admit this is a senseless issue, I'll provide more. Plenty of acronyms out there.

    Hey Nutn, love your channel, long time follower. I own both the POF and the M&P 10. The POF is more of a competition rifle, and M&P more battle appropriate. The M&P is less fussy about loads, but when I feed the POF with the loads it likes, it out shoots the M&P. If I had to choose based off my preference of a precision competition ready semi or recreation, I'd choose POF (plus 2nd cool for me, it's like a Ferrari, it's gorgeous). That said, I agree with your assessment and would say the M&P could fill a variety of roles with a variety of ammo better.

    I like the 25-35 min. feature length vids,... any longer and its a lil too long IMO,... As for which gun I think Id try in 7.62x51/.308 so far,.. would be a custom gun built off a DPMS GII receiver group and bolt carrier group. Those can easily get down to the 7.5 lb range.... The M&P10 is nice too IMO... w/18"bbl too

    I'd liketo see someone do an overpenetration test. Get some thin aluminium C section and build a makeshift wall truss. get some seconds drywall and tek screw it into that to make a pretend wall. maybe put a course of bricks in front of it , dont even need to use quickset if you dont want to. find some building being ripped down and see if you can get some windows in frames out of a skip or a sliding door or window. make another wood frame say 15ft behind that and put drywall on either side. and then put some sheets of chipboard or plywood another 30 feet back as your final test barrier. you dont have to do this in house size. but you can place ballistics gel targets in front of the makebelieve 'house'and fire through them with various calibers as if you are in an urban self defence scenario (each shot must go through a gel figure or block). You could put random items like old tube tvs inside the 'house', maybe dolls in cots for example. You could even have a vehicle in front of the 'house'or you have to shoot a ballistics gel person inside it.I've just never seen anybody do this kind of overpenetration test and it could yield real life data for people who are carrying daily and are curious / concerned about round travel if they were to get into a real life firearm self defence scenario.This may sound vague, but I'm sure there are people who understand what I mean / can expand on this / make extra recommendations. Peace.

      I love the 7.62x25 Tokerav round it fires, it will even make short work of Kevlar. I only wish they made a modern, double stack pistol in this round.

    Bought a trigger from them and it was a total failure. Two different guns I put it into and it would still go on safe after firing. Contacted them they sent me a new one and it had the same problem. Never again will I buy their junk.

    Hey Nutn thanks for another solid review, I always appreciate your content. Given the price point of the DD and the POF, I'd love to see you review a GA Precision GAP 10. It's comparable in price and GA seems to have built a good rep with its rifles. I think you'd also enjoy that it's available in various lengths from 16.5 to 22", and comes standard with stainless Bartlein barrel and a Geissele 2-stage. keep up the great work dude.

  • @Dabkilla
    @Dabkilla 8 лет назад

    still think the DPMS 308 gen 2 is the best AR10, not only for price, but reliability! ..... and as for how u said the DD is prob fixable, yea maybe, but I have seen lots of bad reports on the DD 308, company's and people alike, just don't understand making a gas 308 (AR10) is not a easy project.. I'd take the POF308 over the DD.. but like I said in the beginning, the DPMS is the way to go!

  • @johndavis1312
    @johndavis1312 8 лет назад

    it seems like to me that a lot of these guys are searching for a solution that already exists. I say this since everyone is trying to find an accurate, reliable, and affordable 308 platform. Guys will spend thousands of dollars on unproven systems. Have they never heard of the FAL or G3? Combined they have been used by 200 countries! I mean sure they're old but I'd bet almost anything that a g3 will run more reliably and a fal will take way more abuse. Sure their heavy but you can lighten them up pretty easily.

      David Burke haha I know several who are. Cruz wouldn't be drawing 25 thousand people to his rallies. Hopefully nutn snaps out of it and addresses it tonight like he did in 2008 and 2012.

      The election is important. Trump
      Is the first fascist to be nominated by an American political party in my lifetime. His candidacy, focused on dark conspiracies by "international bankers" and "media elites" with names like Yellen, Soros and Blumenthal, sounds like David Duke and is the kind of thinking that led to to Holocaust

    So basics of RUclips, writing a good description helps with SEO, i.e. search results. Also the more regularly you upload, i.e. consistently posting 2, 3, 4 videos a week, will also drive views and subs. All of this has been discussed at length in forums and videos, just a basic Google search will point you to them.

      No, what I'm saying is Nutn is always bitching about view counts for years, and for years he doesn't follow best practices. Please upgrade your reading comprehension skills and follow ready, aim, fire, not fire, ready, aim.

  • @huntercarney5525

    Jeez that's pricey. For that much money, no way in hell I'd buy either of those over the scar 17s.

    • @PureCountryof91
      @PureCountryof91 7 лет назад

      Hunter Carney scar h uses special mags, this doesn't.. it takes standard triggers, like the bfs from fostech, or an ssa, so yes the scar is awesome but this is a more modular platform that uses more plentiful parts..

    • @huntercarney5525
      @huntercarney5525 7 лет назад

      PureCountryof91 not with an xproducts lower. It'll take any ar10 mags. And a guissle super scar trigger is better than any trigger you can put in the POF. Plus it's lighter weight. A lot lighter. More ergonomic, and I'd bet it's also more accurate.

    don't compare its weight and price against a rifle. with its full auto capability and high rounds durability, compare it to a MK48 or the HCAR. its probably closer to an squad auto rifle or lmg than a personal rifle

    • @moicus29
      @moicus29 8 лет назад

      mk48 is 18lbs, an hcar is like 12lbs. an rpk is around 11
