@@TheFantasyForgehonestly, I would love to see a video like this about Fighters. Just famous warriors throughout history and what they did to be remembered
With it being in the feywild. I would attempt a perception check of anything that could possibly be heard on the other side of the door before checking for traps. Then if nothing out of the ordinary stands out, I would stealthily attempt to enter the castle
although their more a group of people, and they'd be more like Monks in D&D, basically any Quilombo warrior (escaped slaves who formed settlements to protect themselves, and practiced Capoeira, which seems to not be that serious until you do some research and find quotes such as "It is harder to defeat a Quilombo warrior than the Dutch invaders" and "it took more than one dragoon to capture a Quilombo warrior", according to multiple sources) would also work as a bard or rouge of sorts.
In order to get through, I need to see if I can see past the door. If I can, a misty step spell will work out. But if I can't, then a gaseous form will have to do, and I'll just slip through the door's cracks, or fly over the gate. I like how you included some rogues that "swapped" alignments such as Detective Vidocq. Just cause you're a thief, doesn't mean you're evil, and I know there are plenty of criminals (especially hackers nowadays) who are or become lawful due to their incredible skills and knowledge or sense of justice. If you've ever seen Mr. Robot, you know Elliot is a hacker, but his intentions are pure. (Fantastic show if you haven't seen it.)
As a bard, I draw inspiration from Black Bart. I will use wit and charm to enter the castle. Hail to thee, oh castle upon hill I come as a friend, seeking aid if you will Pray, may I enter, or perhaps have a chat As I search for Tobias, our beloved displacer cat
I try to reason why Tobias would come here. The options I can think of are: - To hide. - To double back and slip away. - To seek protection from some creatures, architecture, or magic. - To escape using some unknown means, such as tunnels, a portal, or teleportation circle. - To seek power from allies or magic item. - To set a trap. - To slow us down while he calls allies. Not all of these are mutually exclusive, of course, but together th options determine my course of action. I cannot simply sit still while Tobias finds a means of escape, a perfect hiding spot, or power, so I must follow him. But I have to assume there is danger up ahead. And I cannot allow him to elude me by doubling back. I check the door for traps, physical and magical. Then I open it. If I see nothing that demands my immediate attention, I set the Alarm spell outside the doors (with the mental ping option), to notify me of newcomers or Tobias escaping. Then I turn invisible and sneak into the fortress, taking a reasonable medium between care and speed.
Obsidian fortress in the Feywild? Thats Fomorians. I cast disguise self to look as ugly gnarly as possible, so it looks like I’ve already been cursed by them and sneak on ahead
@ I respect the decision not to overrepresent pirates… but I also feel that grossly undercuts a major source of rogue inspiration. What about Edward Teach, Sam Bellamy, or Bartholomew Roberts (the other “Black Bart”) who inspired both the “dread pirate Roberts” and the graphic design of Neverland’s Captain Hook? Or if you want a serious murder-hobo pirate, Ned Lowe. Whew! That guy was twisted. Inventing new forms of gruesome torture was his side-hobby.
Personally, I'd have listed Harriet Tubman. What better example of a heroic rogue than one who "steals" fellow human beings out of bondage? She had the right skill-set too.
@TheFantasyForge everyone is talking about heists, but a con game is another level of adventure. Instead of stealing the treasure, you get your coney to hand it over to you willingly.

@@TheFantasyForge ...not sure if it's necessarily possible (or at least RUclips appropriate for the Warlock end), but what about Cleric or Warlock?

Fun vid
I might recommend Julie d'Aubigny as a contender. Extra History did a pretty interesting video on her about 6 years ago.

I love the idea of someone really good at bad things but they aren't a bad person. Probably why I gravitated towards that
Just leaving a comment in hopes that one day you'll get as many views, likes and shares that you deserve!

Have to change characters because a player left the table last minute and looking for Rogue inspiration. Stumbled on this. Couldn’t be better timed

Interesting video
Aw shucks, always leaving the love, I appreciate you
Man, I placed a bet with myself that sir Francis Drake would have been featured in this video. I guess I lost.
Nooo! I didn't want to have 2 pirates otherwise I would have haha

We really need a good set of rules for running scams and con games in RPGs.

Did you just get upset at a content creator for doing research on a video topic?
