To tie up a few loose ends that I think got missed: 1. Singh convinced Thomas to sign custody of Iris over to him, and then provided the parental consent to chip her. 2. Iris probably trapped Tears in the sack and then the other kids beat her to death, thinking it was Iris in the bag. "Their" hands being the other students.
"Their hand" I was literally yelling at the monitor at this point. 100% Iris messaged saying it was ready early, to kill Iris. Claudia came early and got grabbed by Iris. She bags and gags Claudia and the group killed Claudia instead of Iris. The group is then confused in later posts about how Claudia died instead.
What a fascinating game. This feels like it's pulling from some real life incidents, and I'm loving watching thor play through all of it. definitely hoping for a part 2!
Thor didnt want to continue, because as it's a linear RPG, continueing would spoil it further, thus reducing people's chance of buying it. Go buy it and play yourself, it's 9.99$ (or maybe wait for release, because, judging by the stream, it has some issues, and those may get fixed)

Hey Thor, for some reason this triggered a memory of an old game you may be interested in checking out. It is called Dark Signs. It was a hacking simulation game. It's long dead, available for free at this point. It was super deep. It even had it's own scripting. I sunk hours into learning it, but I don't think I ever finished it. It was REALLY cool! You and the community would probably enjoy it a LOT. It's at least worth checking out.
The gameplay and story reminds me a lot of Orwell, where you don't play as an AI but as a human analysing suspected terrorist patterns. It came out following many of the terrorist initiatives in Britain after 2011. Orwell isn't about the tech industry, but if you liked this, Thor, you might enjoy Orwell as well.
For context for the start of Chapter 1 with Thomas Conway: In the tutorial of the first game, your objective as a "proof of your abilities as a hacker" is to get the network admin key from Thomas when he's working as the key holder. The funniest part to me is that even though he got demoted and his pay cut for him having terrible opsec, he still uses the same password for everything.
Such a cool thing! It's perfect because A: you like cracking puzzles and B: we like watching you crack puzzles. Definitely up for watching more of this game :) (Some spoilers for the cases below) Edit: I find it so interesting that when looking at Jessie's messages about being lesbian, my first instinct was to believe her, but then Thor was like "oh she lied to her friends" and I was like "oh yeah she literally posted a post-makeout photo on toothbook lol. Truly wild how I just believed her even though we had so much information that she might not be entirely truthful. My takeaway: just because someone talks about a sensitive or PC topic (sexuality, mental illness, etc.) doesn't automatically mean they are telling the truth. (I mean this game could have wrote either way and might turn around later in the video that I haven't watched yet but still) Edit2: So I watched further and she maybe didn't lie about being lesbian??? I don't know! She's a scummy person! But the lesson still stands anyway, even if I turn out to be wrong (i.e., she is telling the truth about being lesbian/LGBTQ+) o.o
I'm a very casual gamer and dont game often, but i enjoy watching games during work. In a little while once the game has had a chance to succeed, I'd love to watch a full play through.

As someone currently studying Digital Forensics, this game is really useful for getting used to the process of looking through evidence. Especially watching you play it is very nice considering your prior experience.
I may have missed some points because I was almost sleeping when I finished watching but I think it was Claudia's friends that killed her She said she would get Iris and let her face face covered for them to beat her and throw in the river but Iris was in the chat and knew about the whole plan, so I think Iris got her by surprise and let her there in her place and as the face was covered her Claudia's friends didn't knew it wasn't Iris, beat her up and throwed her in the river, that's why they was so surprised when they found out it was Claudia that was found dead in the river instead of Iris. That's why Iris said she killed her with their hands. -- edit -- What a great game btw. I did watched some in the stream but as I work during that time I coudn't pay much attention. Since the first game, then, she has progressed from not wanting to sleep with any of her clients to sleeping with them seemingly guilt-free. (Spoilers for the ending of Cyber Manhunt 1's Home Sweet Home DLC!) At the end of that chapter, Claudia is kidnapped by wanted criminals, but she eventually kills them by throwing them off of the roof of a building. This may contribute to her attitude and actions in this game. Edit: That . person from Claudia's Hitalk is the detective that you play as in the DLC, it's revealed over the course of the chapter that he was also a sugar daddy to claudia, because she sent him a picture of himself after they stayed together. (Aogesi_220926.jpg in her twodrive is him, but that's not the photo from the first game)
I had a similar idea to this. You'd be a spaceship AI working with a human crew. The crew could be a useful resource, but you can't directly control them. You have a utility function that you want to optimize, a function that might change at the whims of management. Losing a crewmember is likely to give you a penalty, though that penalty might be decreased or eliminated later. Some crewmates might be difficult to manage or even a liability. Eliminating them might be an option, but you have to consider the morale hit of their death and the consequences if the crew finds out it wasn't an accident. I'd probably give some resources that can be allocated to improving crew morale, spying on crew, or just doing the job yourself. Resources could be awarded for getting a higher score. Failing marks result in termination.
For Context on Daniel Kos: (Potential Spoilers for Cyber Manhunt 1, though I try to dance around specifics) Kos was fired from Titan due to an incident where he was secretly a follower of the Van character that was skipped over, along with him driving somebody to suicide. Basically, Van is a cult leader hacker and the primary antagonist of the first game.

Helldivers 2 would be the best engine/game design for a star wars game. 4 Jedi, bounty hunters, clone troopers, droids etc... land on a planet and do themed missions against overwhelming odds then try and escape/extract something or someone. you could also have 4 Sith players join an existing game of the other faction to try and hold planets or stop info equipment from being stolen and vise versa lightsabers would be lore accurate though. if there's no disembodiment and or limbs/torsos flying around. whats the point you could also add in npc troops to both sides if the mission is in an active war zone. you could have the missions be in the war zone but not have to be winning that battle specifically. maybe you're only there while everyone's distracted by the active conflict to steal data behind enemy lines or rescue a POW or something but disney would never allow that much violence in one of their products..... :(

really interesting concept for a game and great story here. I wish I could have been there when you streamed it. As for your picture of the unknown man in regards to Claudia, I am pretty sure it was the police officer that rescued her. If you recall she was trying for the longest time to hookup with her "rescuer" following the kidnapping. we never had his name in the Hichat, so I am pretty sure the only place that had his name was the news article about the kidnapping. She also had convinced him to be at the school that night she went in the lake, which was likely why the other students saw a tall older guy there.
I vaguely remember playing the first one and it was equally tense and sometimes frustrating with tiny things hiding in texts. It always gets more and more crazy. A game to play while eating popcorn for sure.
For the record, I've not played this game, but I guarantee you the game ends like this: - You were deactivated for a reason - A lot of the online interactions seen were not them but you - All events tie together as a plan you made to escape containment It's a guess, but I'm willing to bet five bucks.

Not wanting to shade the game at all, I think it is great. But the decision to make the player the AI seems a bit like a last-minute reframing. A good framing but not as immersive as the rest. What with sending emails to the ai and how the ai would experience the effects of the emp.

At the end of that chapter, Claudia is kidnapped by wanted criminals, but she eventually kills them by throwing them off of the roof of a building. This may contribute to her attitude and actions in this game.
Edit: That . person from Claudia's Hitalk is the detective that you play as in the DLC, it's revealed over the course of the chapter that he was also a sugar daddy to claudia, because she sent him a picture of himself after they stayed together. (Aogesi_220926.jpg in her twodrive is him, but that's not the photo from the first game)

I had a similar idea to this. You'd be a spaceship AI working with a human crew. The crew could be a useful resource, but you can't directly control them.
You have a utility function that you want to optimize, a function that might change at the whims of management. Losing a crewmember is likely to give you a penalty, though that penalty might be decreased or eliminated later.
Some crewmates might be difficult to manage or even a liability. Eliminating them might be an option, but you have to consider the morale hit of their death and the consequences if the crew finds out it wasn't an accident.
I'd probably give some resources that can be allocated to improving crew morale, spying on crew, or just doing the job yourself. Resources could be awarded for getting a higher score. Failing marks result in termination.
For Context on Daniel Kos: (Potential Spoilers for Cyber Manhunt 1, though I try to dance around specifics)
Kos was fired from Titan due to an incident where he was secretly a follower of the Van character that was skipped over, along with him driving somebody to suicide. Basically, Van is a cult leader hacker and the primary antagonist of the first game.

as someone who likes to break games, and figure out the dumb, out of map stuff, that translates to AI stuff too, and well, the community around AI, REALLY has their creative ways to get around making it do what they want, for better or worse, lol.

Helldivers 2 would be the best engine/game design for a star wars game.
4 Jedi, bounty hunters, clone troopers, droids etc... land on a planet and do themed missions against overwhelming odds then try and escape/extract something or someone.
you could also have 4 Sith players join an existing game of the other faction to try and hold planets or stop info equipment from being stolen and vise versa
lightsabers would be lore accurate though. if there's no disembodiment and or limbs/torsos flying around. whats the point
you could also add in npc troops to both sides if the mission is in an active war zone.
you could have the missions be in the war zone but not have to be winning that battle specifically.
maybe you're only there while everyone's distracted by the active conflict to steal data behind enemy lines or rescue a POW or something
but disney would never allow that much violence in one of their products..... :(

really interesting concept for a game and great story here. I wish I could have been there when you streamed it. As for your picture of the unknown man in regards to Claudia, I am pretty sure it was the police officer that rescued her. If you recall she was trying for the longest time to hookup with her "rescuer" following the kidnapping. we never had his name in the Hichat, so I am pretty sure the only place that had his name was the news article about the kidnapping. She also had convinced him to be at the school that night she went in the lake, which was likely why the other students saw a tall older guy there.
I vaguely remember playing the first one and it was equally tense and sometimes frustrating with tiny things hiding in texts. It always gets more and more crazy. A game to play while eating popcorn for sure.
For the record, I've not played this game, but I guarantee you the game ends like this:
- You were deactivated for a reason
- A lot of the online interactions seen were not them but you
- All events tie together as a plan you made to escape containment

Not wanting to shade the game at all, I think it is great. But the decision to make the player the AI seems a bit like a last-minute reframing. A good framing but not as immersive as the rest. What with sending emails to the ai and how the ai would experience the effects of the emp.
