Me too. I was completely distracted by the pen!!! Particularly when Billy was tapping it!!! I think you all do an awesome job with the podcast and I really enjoy them. Thanks for all the effort you put in.
Nice to see Billy filling in for his sister! Awesome to see mom and son hang out and talk with us. Sherri you can get in that 30min walking. My mom walks every day for at least an hour, and she is 83 years old. Chelsi you got that one hour away from your phone/emails in the morning girl, you can do it. I don't know why but, for me my phone or laptop is the last thing I deal with before I leave the house or before I start working on a project. I have to goals..my first one is to make a table runner and my 2nd one is to make a wall hanging.! Good luck to us all with our goals. 🤩
Great podcast, Sherri and Billy! Sherri, I like Ann Patchett’s writing also. I just finished The Dutch House and it was the second time I read it. It’s funny how if you wait awhile and read a book again that you enjoyed, you always find something in the writing that you missed. I, in turn, just ordered Tom Lake and can’t wait to read it. Thanks for sharing all of your goals. They gave me some ideas!
Get well Chelsi ❤️🩹 thanks Bill for the encouragement… I’m 2 days off sugar treats and breads 🥹 two weeks? I CAN do it… I can, I can! Hearing that the craving will pass is really helpful‼️
Yay, pleased to hear Billy hasn't forgotten about his projects. Billy, please don't say not getting projects done last year was a fail - life happens & disrupts plans.
Orphan blocks ... I have blocks from quilt-alongs I started and didn't like the fabric, or the pattern, or didn't keep up, or whatever, and never knew what to do with them. You just answered the question! Put them together in an orphan block quilt! Also, thank you for book recommendations. I think I remember that you are an English major, so I'm pretty sure a book recommendation from you will be worth reading. Thanks!
Billy, you did a great job filling in, but sure did miss Chelsi’s dynamic and energy. Hope all are better real soon. Thanks for forging ahead! Always enjoy you podcasts.
Hi Billy, good to see you in front of the camera. I enjoyed hearing what all of your goals are for the year. I just received my FQB if Strawberry Lemonade, so pretty. Wishing Chelsi a speedy recovery.
This was a very nice video with Billy on the video this time. Yes, we miss Chelsi but it was a nice change. Looking forward to new year of sewing/quilting with you. I like that you do the yearly goals and quarterly goals. I want to do the 3 Things list as I get lost in doing other things too often.
Love love love your podcasts!!!! Billy has a wonderful presence and voice. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and he would be fabulous as any character! Might think of pursuing new adventure!
Sherry, one thing my daughter and I have been doing to get back to well written novels is read or audible classic books. One we recently did was Gone With the Wind. It was surprising how a book focused on a protagonist can actually draw you in.
Love all your video content.❤️ Thanks for the cozyearth link. Just jumped on. In Australia, the sale price for those jogger pants is $137AUD! Normally $305AUD! Like WOW! Even with a discount these are way too pricy for my family. They do look very comfortable, as do the other items. So if in the US, I'd say go for it.
Initially the visible sweets are one thing that I found easier to limit and now I rarely ever eat desserts, etc. However, eliminating factory food is the real test. I suggest starting small: jarred spaghetti sauce. Read the ingredient labels and be shocked. I find these changes are getting easier and easier to accomplish when I do it gradually, one thing at a time.
I always enjoy your podcasts! It was fun having Billy sit in for Chelsi. So sorry to hear that she isn't feeling up to par and also her family. Well wishes to them all. Excited to hear more about the mystery quilt along in February. Thank you for all you do.
Feel better Chelshi & fam. So fun to see Billy at the table today! Started a separate planner this year for Quilting - I feel much less stressed having it all written down in one place. Can't wait for Strawberry Lemonade. Already have the pattern - Hearts at Home II. This will be my 1st log cabin quilt.
My daughter wanted a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom quilt that used a panel of the book cover. The kit would have been close to $100 and out of stock. I found the panel on Etsy and I went from there! She loves the quilt and I saved $$
Strawberry lemonade came into my quilt shop this week and I have so muchfun using the precuts that I bought yard cuts of most of the prints. I just truly love all of it and they work together sew beautifully!!
Billy did a great job filling in . Love your videos. But hummm that quilt behind Billy not mentioned I’m thinking could be a hint for your new collection coming soon
Also thank you for sharing yourselves, knowledge, patterns and skills with all of us. I can’t get out much and it is so helpful to have you sharing what you do.
I have a book recommendation for Sherri… I know she loves Dickens, and I’m curious if she has read Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. I absolutely loved it, and it was so interesting how she updated the story of David Copperfield for modern times. It was also a wonderful listen on Audible.
Enjoyed this podcast. It’s so nice how you all work together. Billy has such a nice presence, he’s calm and such a cutie pie. For topics predominately geared to female audience, you have a niche with Billy. Love all the shows.
I just got a chance to watch the podcast. I loved it. So excited to see what is I stored for 2024. I just bought the Strawberry Lemonade Fat Quarter pack. Now I need to decide on what quilt design to make. Love your ideas. I love the flower quilt behind you. Is there a quilt template available?
Love today's podcast! I got hit with "the bug" right after the new year and now I feel behind on my 2024 goals. I am plan to work harder this year to use my time wisely. Now that I am retired the hardest thing for me is that I can easily procrastinate b/c I can just do it tomorrow 😄. Chelsi I hope you and your family recover quickly. We did miss you❤ And it was great to see Billy in front of the camera.
I sent you back in early December a picture of my version of Regal Pines but I guess you never got it or it was not appropriate for your show- not sure. Oh well such is life. Love your patterns and your channel.
Maybe try Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane. I really liked that book and it stuck with me. I love that you are talking about cutting sugar. It’s so bad. It’s nice to hear quilting people talking about it vs more recipes. Have to say you were talking about Swell Panel by Urban Chicks and you reminded me that I was going to get that. I remember I fell in love with it when Kimberly Jolly did it and have been meaning to get it. I stopped the video, found it online and purchased it. Yeah! Can’t wait! Thank you for all your shows. Love listening ❤
I highly recommend The Dutch House by Anne Patchett. Tom Hanks narrates the audiobook. I loved Tom Lake read by Meryl Street. Love your quilts so much. I’m new to quilting so I’m just finding my way via Fat Quarter Shop. The one change that boosted my ability to read more, is audiobooks. I read when I’m moving - cleaning, driving, cooking and sometimes sewing.
Really enjoyed hearing about your goals and would love to hear more about your work out. Strength training is missing from mine. I also walk but feel I need more. Great seeing Billy in a new role… He has learned so much🎉
I absolutely love the hearts at home quilt in the strawberry lemonade fabric that you had on with Kimberly Jolly. I want to make that soon. I ordered a fat qtr bundle so i could make it.
I love watching your videos and I've started with the BOM of January. I've not much time to sew with two little children, but want to work on WIPs and a few new quilts in smaller versions to improve my sewing and machine quilting. Thanks a lot for sharing your goals in different categories and the wonderful quilts every episode ❤ Wish your whole familymembers a fortunate new year with a lot of laughing and health. Many greetings from Germany 🧵🪡
Love your Podcasts, today’s especially. I’m am motivated to make myself some goals! Just ordered a “To do list notebook”. Hopefully this will keep me on track.
Sherri; Definitely like your #1 goal. I have a PILE of finished tops, and need to find a Long Armer to get some actual finishes. I wish I had space for a longarm myself, but alas I live in a tiny space. One per quarter is definitely a good goal for my budget I think. Thanks!! Also, Chelsi’s goal of doing some form of art is a GREAT goal. I just purchased a set of alcohol markers for MY super talented daughter, and it’s just so fun learning a new method. We have discussed making space at some point for some pottery fun. She loves to use a wheel and has so many ideas. Get well Soon Miss Chelsi! Oh!!! And thanks Billy for filling in! 👏 great job! Nice to see your mom/son interaction. Makes me miss mine! 😊 (I always have to check my spelling of your names, since my mom is Shari and my daughter is Chelsea 😊😅…and believe it or not, my father’s name is Bill! )
I'm not sure where you can leave a listener question so I guess I will try here. Do you ever get back pain from sewing so much? I have an old back injury that flares up when I sew or play the piano, or do a lot of house work. I have so many sewing projects that I could have finished by now if I could work longer. Do you ever get back pain from sewing for a long period of time and if so, what do you do to relieve it? I love your podcast and all your fabrics and love doing the mystery sew along each month. Thanks for all you share with your viewers. Barb Drummond
I am so happy you got the Swell panel. I love the swell fabric collection. I have a few fabrics saved. I have your original four-square pattern where you used the swell Christmas collection. It’s my all-time favorite.❤ You should show us your swell quilt sometime.
I’ve been wanting to sew the Letters to Santa quilt for a couple of years now. This is motivating me to get started on it now. Get well Chelsea and family!
Hope Chelsea feels better. Great podcast today with you and Billy. Looking forward to the Feb sew along as I have a fat eighth Strawberry Lemonade bundle waiting.
My health goals is to join a gym, go at least 5 days a week and get my 10,000 steps during those 5 days. I need to also include some strength training while I am there. I am 70 years old, will be 71 in March. I had a major back surgery with 2 metal rods in my back and 4 vertebrae in lower back fused and I do not want to become weaker or more debilated, my goal is to get stronger and to be able to walk and regain my balance better. Quilting goals are to quilt at least 5 days a week 3 hours a week minimum. I would like to make at least 12 finished quilts or more this year, hopefully this year.
I absolutely love the quilt behind Billy with the blues and yellows. What is the name of the pattern and the name of the fabric collection? Thank you Sherri, Chelsie and Billy for these wonderful videos!
Where will Quilt Market be this year? Doesn’t it travel to different towns? Can’t wait to hear about all the QAL!! Glad Chelsi is feeling better and hope everyone in her family gets well soon too! Love your videos! Thanks for sharing your goals!
I'm late to today's live stream but am finally here! (btw, I see that the quilts behind Sherri and Billy are switched in the links. (I was specifically interested in the one behind Billy, which is Driftwood Drive.)
I am reading the Financial book you recomended and it is wonderful. Not a book I would have chosen on my own. I am a avid reader. I read 10 or more books a month on Amazon unlimited E-books
If you do shorts, can I suggest you do a clip of the quilts you show at the beginning. I usually listen to the podcast rather than watch the video, so I would definitely watch that!
Good morning from Florida. I love your quilts, so beautiful. Where can I get the letters to make my Letters to Santa Quilt at. I would like to buy the pattern.
If you like historical novels, The Memory Keeper of Kyiv by Erin Littiken is an awesome book! It is set between Ukraine 1930's and Illinois 2004 and us the story of a grandmother and granddaughter.
Maybe someone has mentioned this, or you have found the giver of the sweet potato pie already, but if not, contact the company who sent it and I bet they can track it down for you! Sure sounds delish!

Billy the pen is worrying me that you are going to accidentally mark the quilt. Sorry Love the podcast and how involved you are in your Mom and sisters business.
I just have to say Billy holding that pen over the quilt made me very nervous!! 😂 Nice job filling in for Chelsi!

I really like your idea of working on an unfinished project each month without the pressure of finishing it but working toward that goal.

Hey Billy, fun to have you on the front side today! Great as usual, very enjoyable.

Good to see Billy but Chelsi be well! 🙏💞🇨🇦 I like that flower quilt on the wall. An FYI your Strawberry lemonade is at my local QS!
Looking forward to the quilt along with the Fat Eights of Strawberry lemonade.
Billy, you did a great job!
Missing Chelsi today and hoping her family is well soon! Great goals! Loving the flower-themed quilts on display. Beautiful quilts on display today.

Recommendation: could you show some of the smaller cozy earth products you own to show us to get perspective on color, texture and size please.
Love your channel❤ Sherri I’ve seen your Happy Go Lucky quilt and would love to make one…Will you maybe consider doing a SAL someday with it?
These Monday morning podcasts really start my week off right! ❤️❤️❤️

My favorite Anne Patchett book (so far!) is Bel Canto. It’s just beautiful! Hope you get a chance to read it, Sherri!!
Love your Podcasts, today’s especially. I’m am motivated to make myself some goals! Just ordered a “To do list notebook”. Hopefully this will keep me on track.
I found the Swell Santa panel on Etsy also and purchased after your recent podcast. I am also hording the Swell and Sweet fabrics.

Take care Chelsei. Lucky you Big brother Billy is looking out for you 😊

I wish Moda (?) would offer the box kit again for that project.
Great to see a male your son and I hope Chelsi and her family would get back to be healthy. Greetings from Switzerland
Love having Billy chat about quilting and just thangs- we have a cool boy in our club! 👏🏽👏🏽😁😁❤️❤️
I’ve been wanting to sew the Letters to Santa quilt for a couple of years now. This is motivating me to get started on it now. Get well Chelsea and family!
Fun to see Billy!
When do you sleep??? You’re amazing!

I enjoy y'all but I'm not sure about doing a big quilt made out of 4 inches blocks. The small blocks drive me crazy. I want you to have fun!!
What is the blue and yellow quilt behind Billy ? I would only attack the pantry one shelf at a time.
Driftwood Drive, I see a mix of fabrics, but it definitely includes Harmony from Sweetwater.
Where will Quilt Market be this year? Doesn’t it travel to different towns? Can’t wait to hear about all the QAL!! Glad Chelsi is feeling better and hope everyone in her family gets well soon too! Love your videos! Thanks for sharing your goals!
Hope Chelsea and family feel better soon
❤❤❤❤ just to pop in and let you guys know. You are my top list on Mondays to watch your videos.
I'm late to today's live stream but am finally here!
(btw, I see that the quilts behind Sherri and Billy are switched in the links. (I was specifically interested in the one behind Billy, which is Driftwood Drive.)
Billy is super cool
What are your go to background fabrics for all the gorgeous quilts you make??
I am reading the Financial book you recomended and it is wonderful. Not a book I would have chosen on my own. I am a avid reader. I read 10 or more books a month on Amazon unlimited E-books
If you do shorts, can I suggest you do a clip of the quilts you show at the beginning. I usually listen to the podcast rather than watch the video, so I would definitely watch that!
Hope Chelsea and family continue to get healthy. Quilts look great
A question for a future podcast. How do you hang your quilt that is above your podcast station ?
Thank you what a great way to start my morning
What Bella solid neutral would go with SummerSweet fabrics? I need a match for background. Thank you
Is the Village quilt you're referring to made of little houses? I looked on your site & Etsy shop & don't find anything called Village. Thanks
Good morning from Florida. I love your quilts, so beautiful. Where can I get the letters to make my Letters to Santa Quilt at. I would like to buy the pattern.
The letter patterns are from Lisa Bongean’s Primitive Gatherings Mini Alphabet Quilt
Love Ann Patchett!
Are the flowers in the Flower Shop quilt on the wall pieced or appliqued?
If you like historical novels, The Memory Keeper of Kyiv by Erin Littiken is an awesome book! It is set between Ukraine 1930's and Illinois 2004 and us the story of a grandmother and granddaughter.
Maybe someone has mentioned this, or you have found the giver of the sweet potato pie already, but if not, contact the company who sent it and I bet they can track it down for you! Sure sounds delish!
Sugar is definitely an addiction as are carbs. Been keto for three years now. A1c been good I do sweets but keto style if I have them
Get well, Chelsi and crew (or I certainly hope you're better by the time this airs)! We're thinking of you! 💜
Thanks for another terrific episode! It's always fun to catch up with your goals and plans!
Where do they get the Sasquatch I want one
I tried the code with Cozy Earth to buy the waffle towel set, but it didn’t work. Error was “This code isn’t valid for the items in your cart.” Can you check into the limitations on your code?
I tried the code again this morning and it did work, but it does not stack with their sale. 😢
❤❤
Billy the pen is worrying me that you are going to accidentally mark the quilt. Sorry Love the podcast and how involved you are in your Mom and sisters business.
Please be cautious with Shorts. Too many can be annoying to those of us who have watched the entire show already.
Oh no, not a hole in one again...
Billy's speech is either stuttering or mumbling. Did he had a speech problem when younger
