Moving to Georgia is the best way to experience the country’s rich culture. Known for being a friendly nation with stunning nature. Georgia is still an undiscovered country for many in terms of travel, not to say anything about moving here. The capital, Tbilisi, remains traditional but also very multicultural, which adds to its appeal and charm. So if you decide to move to Georgia, these tips will help you along the way.
Moving to Georgia pros and cons, Georgia is the best country for retirement.
A new law grants foreigners permission to stay for a year
The government of Georgia issued an order in 2014 that gives citizens of 95 countries permission to stay here visa-free for a year. Thus, it’s a great way to see if the nation fits your expectations before committing to live here for a longer amount of time.
Living in Georgia and being on holiday here is entirely different
When you visited Georgia, it most likely was for your holidays or a business trip, where you felt the immense hospitality of the nation. However, when you become a resident here, except that you won’t be treated like royalty anymore, you’ll get fewer invites by Georgian families, and fewer offers to show you around. This is understandable and reasonable since you are now becoming part of the community, where you need to adapt and start figuring things out yourself. However, don’t think for a second that Georgians will neglect you at once; they will still help you out and will remain your friend when you are in need.

You said agriculture is a good area to invest in but I heard the government doesn't allow foreigners to buy agricultural land. So what is the way. I am an IT specialist but planning to retire early and open agriculture research center , mainly raise bees in modern hives to produce allergy suppressant honey that helps people with asthma. I have experience in that field that I inherited from my father and grandfather. For this purpose , I need to have land in an agricultural area with lots of fields with flowery plants. What is the best way to do that? This video is 3 years old, anything changed since then that helps in that situation?

Any word on when/if Georgia is opening again? We are American, but they only let Americans in coming direct from America. And they have so many restrictions. Including no border visa runs anymore. Ugh! I love Georgia.

Most Georgians understand English . I rarely hear the Russia language spoken . ... most Goergians over 35 are fluent in Russian...most under 20 do not. English is now the preferred 2nd language here. There is plenty of English signage and inscriptions through out the country.

If you're an immigrant you need to create your own job and jobs for others, or what's the point in moving? Don't bother unless you can contribute something of value to that society.

@@0devildante0 I was just organizing everything when Georgia has shut down everything. They kept boundary so closed and the behavior of the government is a kind of strange when it comes to buy land in the countryside. I was ones on the Embassy for get a clear answer. What I found out for sure, Foreigners are not allowed to buy agriculture land. There is a kind of residence category you can buy but small areas with buildings only. I am looking in other countries with more stable rules and regulations. When this corona trouble is over I am planning to make a trip along the Mediterranean see from Italy towards east. No destination jet. Portugal has also a lot of agricultural land on the market but I don’t like the mentality there.
