    Key Fact About Business Immigration in Georgia
    Citizens of 95 countries can arrive and stay in Georgia for up to a year without a visa. A person is perceived as an immigrant if they stay in Georgia for 183 days in the last 12 months and have spent 183 days in other countries in previous 12 months.
    From those nationalities who buy real estate in Georgia, 53% of them are Russians and they occupy the first place. Then come citizens from the Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Israel. Between 2014 and 2018 70,508 foreigners were granted a right of residence.
    Citizens of Azerbaijan occupy the first place among them who received the right of residence. Then come Russia, Turkey, Armenia, Ukraine, India, China and Iran.
    The majority of labour residence permits are mostly granted to the citizens of Turkey, India, China, Ukraine, and Iran.
    Permanent residence rights are granted mostly to the citizens of Azerbaijan, Russia, Armenia, Ukraine, and Turkey.
    Educational residence permits are mostly granted to the citizens of India, Iraq, Nigeria, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.
    Due to family reunification residence rights are mostly granted to the citizens of Azerbaijan, Russia, Armenia, Ukraine, and Turkey.
    Between 2014 and 2018 only 9,408 applications were rejected. This equated to 12% of the total number of applications. ne of the initiators of the draft law and a lawmaker Ilia Tsulaia says that it was conceived following an incident when it was discovered that one flat was being used by 10 or 15 foreign families to try and get permanent residence rights- by cheating of course. A foreigner would by a flat and receive residence rights, then they would re-register it to the other family and they would receive the right of residence as well and for as long. So the idea of a draft law is to avoid such accidents and deter foreigners from cheating the State. He says that if one buys real estate and they re-register it to someone else, they will lose their right of residence automatically. Soso Archvadze, another initiator of the draft law emphasizes that a state should protect the rights of its citizens and entrepreneurs and this should not be perceived as a xenophobic act, but as an action to protect interests the State’s market

    Reasons of genuine economic substance are becoming more pressing on foreign entrepreneurs, who are now required to put down roots, and become tax resident! Temporary residency, registration of a Turkish or Mexican home address with the authorities, and opening a commerce operation; yet the benefit in Turkey and Mexico is a path to citizenship! Low costs, but high tax for a five year period to make your case for citizenship; these are the price of geographic diversity of risks! Keep up the great work! / / \ \ Since this recording, the restrictions have become more onerous and tight!

    I dont know about property visa ...but for the business visa that place is terrible i just opened a company and bank account with tbc last year and had to close it after only one month yhat it was opened my bank account because the bank dont want you as a customer is the 80 % of ur turnover will not be made in Georgia..so it's a completely bullshit place for make international business.
    Also about that turnover who implemented this has no brain at all ..because how can u prove a turnover when you have a new business..so u must to invest in a business but u will not get the proper visa until 1 year late if you get it and they dont decide to changing the rules again...big joke for me.
    I would not recommend to anyone go to Georgia for business because if yo udont speak local language not easy to making money and if u planning to sell or trade with customers in overseas the bank will reject your bank account openin6or close it after 2 or 3 months.
    One more thing: dont trust to any lower there they want to charge you more money that in western countries are super crazy when salary in Georgia is just few hundreds of Usd.

      Also this issue about the turnover it was something new in around July of last year.
      I think is good for digital nomads because the cheap cost of living. And the .1 year tourist Visa but not for entrepreneurs.

      @@arondaoscar Nope, just different culture and they try to be "politically correct" officially, without explaining things they think are obvious. Communication issue.
      IMO, Georgia is not a country for everyone. It has a bunch of benefits... but not the ones you are used to or even can exploit. If your goal is to immigrate to the West, Georgia is a pure waste of time and resources.
      The easiest and most straightforward Western country for immigration is probably UK.
      Georgia - by design - is a nice second home for "Western" citizens and citizens of former Soviet Union, no exception.

    • @well-hiddenme5846
      @well-hiddenme5846 3 года назад +1

      If they would give you visa - they would give you a huge disservice, making you travel there and probably waste years and tens of thousands of Dollars. The country is nice, but by design and because of the history it is the best fit for people from the former Soviet Union, as a second home. People from certain Western countries are welcome... but usually the ones "make it" who would be also successful in Russia or Estonia (just two samples).
      I would be very cautious to suggest Georgia to Germans or British, but, say, Romanians, Russians, Israelis, Italians, Serbs could be a good match. It is everyone's taste, the best is to try the country for few weeks / months.
      Do NOT invest a single Cent there without being there a couple of times and having good friends there you can trust and who have absolutely no material interest in you. Everything else is a major BS.

    • @well-hiddenme5846
      @well-hiddenme5846 3 года назад

      This is plain incorrect - no one from these countries even needs one:
      www.geoconsul.gov.ge/HtmlPage/Html/View?id=956&lang=Eng
      In addition, if you are from former Soviet Union, EU, USA, some other countries and speak Russian - no one will even ask you, why you would live there. They just assume, you are there and that's it. It's a very nice place - but with few things to get used to. There is no such thing as "immigrating for economic reasons only" up in their mind and if you do, the locals will be very-very suspicious. In numerous smaller countries of East Europe it's the same thing, I have a property in a small village there and very familiar with that mindset. It's a nice place to live... but locals assume, their country is poor and are suspicious towards everyone who moves there without obvious reason and without speaking the language.

      Just go there. If - as I assume - you are from Romania, all you need is to find a seat on an airplane.
      You can even drive there - via Turkey would be easier for you than via Ukraine and Russia.
      Most people speak Russian there as a foreign language though - but English is progressing.
      As a Romanian you won't get that huge culture shock though. Your passport is on the "golden list", so relatively little red tape is to expect... pretty much as in Romania, I guess. If you speak Russian to some degree, you should try everything without a lawyer.
      As a starting point - get an airbnb first, you will need to live somewhere anyway, right?
      Than, like pretty much everywhere in the former Soviet Union your airbnb host will help you.
      So the very-very-REALLY VERY important thing is to get a good airbnb host and have good relationship.
      Than, you will be "passed" from one opportunity to the other. I.e. the host may have a flat which is not that good long-term, he/she may introduce you to the other who has a better flat / home, they will introduce you to the friendly government official and so on. It is much less money, than communication and common things in the culture. Don't think anyone from Romania would have a major problem in Georgia. Maybe the crazy Georgian car driving only.

      hi aijaz We're a Georgian native (Anna) and a German (Raoul). We recently launched a Georgian Language and Culture themed channel, with our crew of little animated friends. So far, we uploaded 7 videos! Hope you enjoy it! If you enjoy the episodes enough, feel free to subscribe, it would help us spread the content better. Thanks so much and have a wonderful day. A+R from georgian2go
