Besides some obvious things like the Rolling Shutter Effect, the Focus Points, and the Depth of field! I gotta commend the editing! Love the colors, the pacing to the music, that bottle cap falling on the beat of the song with that added camera shake! Man that's fire 🔥🔥You just gotta love a PL B Roll video👌
Thanks for another awesome video. Really appreciate showing your FCP workflow too, very helpful to understand the process. Crazy to think it's a phone too. I saw a mixologist making a cocktail where he poured a liquid into the glass and the chemical reaction produced tiny balls forming in the cocktail. I'm sure there are loads of cocktails like this but I think it would be cool visually.
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT make a Spanish coffee. With the flaming nutmeg, the swirling of the flame in the glass to crystalize the sugar, the long pour of the 151, etc, it's just such an iconic drink. Would be great to see a PL B-Roll version! (John Pierce @ Huber's in Portland is the benchmark, fyi). (Oh, what's the smoke machine thing you're using?)
Filmic pro can help with stabilization as well if need be there are phone gimbals for robotic moves too. I really love how advanced the iPhones have become with the camera. For a phone it’s shocking great !
Dude, this was awesome! For another drink... the Long Island Iced Tea comes to mind - or another drink where the bartender can hold multiple bottles in their hands to pour in at the same time.
He's back!!!! How about a Holiday drink; something with Vodka. Not too sweet. A happy medium, eh!? Great vid Peter. I've missed these videos (I know, I know, they got old, but this was refreshing to see).
Just amazing. I Love it! You nailed it… AGAIN. WOW. I’m gonna watch it many more times to catch all the crazy details. Again: Congrats. Just out of curiosity… did you had problems with your sound (mic)? It seems your voice comes from a bit a far compare to your friend.
I argue, with lights of that price range, a stabilizing mount for the iPhone wouldn’t have been much of a stretch anymore. Granted, a gimbal wouldn’t have been usable, but professionals wouldn’t limit themselves on the accessories of their camera. But other than that, this is quite the entertaining video. Nice work!
Nice video! I got the iPhone 16 pro and the Blackmagic app seems to jump the image when stabilization is turned on with the 13mm and 120mm, i can see that happens to you too (on min 3:15)
Nice shoot! Next please; GT With Hendricks Gin, Fever-tree tonic, long slices of cucumber and ground pepper corns... Simply irresistable stuff... Keep up the good work... 🤗
brilliant like always. Why don´t you use a iPhone rig? There are different out there and it would give you better control. So you could tab focus as well, when your hands are locked in with the grips. I tried the difference and it is mostly better. Less slippery and flimsy.
Just the making of a bunch of different named drinks, just with the quality of this video. I imagine drinks with different types of fruit, with fruit juices squirting etc.? Could be sold to different nightlife places?
Have been using the 15 pro max for a while now and with the blackmagic camera app it is a *beast* combo indeed, and this video just shows the quality now available in one’s pocket :) Did you use any «in app stabilization» for these shots, or any post production stabilization in FCP?
Yes great improvement on phones. Anyway all your b-roll got an extra spice due to the lenses. iPhone lenses are not yet there , and probably never will. Anyway the file is incredible
Apple should make the real estate it has for the three cameras into one “large” sensor. Could easily be a 1” sensor (I have no idea what I’m talking about)
Big difference with color grading. I'd like to use your color grading. Are they avaioable for editing on the phone? I usually use inshot or capcut but could use another app if color grading isn't available for those
@@PeterLindgren1 good point, this says a lot about you and also the iPhone 16 for those who find themselves in a casual moment to do a brilliant piece of filming.
Love the vid man. Unfortunately mi iPhone X can't do that XD But I have a insta 360 4x that I don't use as much as I'd like 'cause I'm having a hard time matching the footage with my zv-e1, what are your thoughts on that Pete? Some settings you could reccomand?
I noticed that you don’t have any ND’s in frint of the lenses. Did you managed to take the exposure settings right within the Black magic app and what where they?
Awesome Video! Challenge Idea: Make a b-roll video while David is actually working and the bar is crowded. I would like to see how you would handle the situation with limited space.
@@PeterLindgren1 Trueee....but there are several drinks you can make with it: 1."Whisky sour" 2. "Rob Roy" 3."Blood and Sand" 4."Penicilin". That Diplomatico I sometimes enjoy as it is to be honest, not combining it with anything.
Really cool Pete!! I love this kind of tutorial/behind the scenes videos! Could you make one where you explain better how to shoot with manual focus to get the correct shot? I'm not really familiar with that. Thanks you in advance! 💪💪💪
As i said in the video, setting the focus point for the subject/frame you want to have is basically what it's all about. Do you wanna follow the subject? Stay at the exact same distance all the time!
How much gb is the Iphone you used? I have a 1TB laptop for editing and I want to make such video’s but I am doubting between getting 256gb and an external SSD or 512gb. Which would you choose and why?

I'm trying to decide whether to invest in a Gimbel or a DJI Pocket 2. My current setup is the Canon M50 with a couple of zoom lenses to give me 18mm to 200mm and a 28mm f1.8 prime lens. I feel like the Pocket 2 can greatly boost camera angles, especially as I'm interested in cars. However, a Gimble will give me that smooth movement that will up the quality of my videos. I make videos just as a hobby. Does anyone have some good advice on this decision?

@ yes brother keep moving
I needed to watch a new great broll. Bravo Peter and bravo Iphone! 😊
Be class to see a full length video of the whole process of one of your shoots: equipment, set up, filming and editing.
Love the content
This was basically everything you wanted except for the editing part
I went back and watched it again… this time with a pen and paper.. you were right. Sooo.. be great to see the editing process 😂

Ah. The best kind of content. I miss this kinda stuff.

Depth of field and color grading is still better on the a7s3
If course it is, it’s because it’s a way bigger sensor and lens.
Wasn’t a comparison though!
Great and inspiring video. Just be careful with that wireless mic being so close to your head.

To be fair the depth isn’t there compared to the Sony due to the optics, yeah granted for creative shooting phones are great.
