    Beautiful!! Just played there last month! I highly recommend The Ridge at Castle Pines West of Denver. Hope you get to check it out while you're there! I had a 397y drive there, so ball Def flyyyys! I was about 2 club lengths different.
    I see you hitting the driver off the deck, 220y cut into the wind, around hazard and not mentioning it 😎

    This course was designed by an old friend of mine, Jim Engh and his partner Mitch Scarborough of Castle Rock in Colorado. Jim Engh won many awards for his thoughtful and exciting designs and I believe there should be more of his work around the world. We did one together in Vietnam and I believe more Jim Engh golf courses should be happening. Golf courses have generally become a bit boring I think. Good luck Ms Genevieve.

    Not quite sure how your range finder can measure air density. I know that air density is determined by two things. Air pressure and how much water vapor it carries. Pressure should be easy enough for it to figure out but I have no idea how it gets the water vapor content. Must be magic. 😂
    I've played in Colorado in the past. And I know I hit the ball a bit farther there than I do on the west coast of Florida but it's hard to say exactly how much because of all the slope which we just don't have here. I remember that I guessed it was 10 yards give or take. Anyway, another nice vid Gen. Thanks.

      Barometric Pressure sensor, temperature sensor, relative humidity sensor, then air density is calculated from this probably.

    The Bushnell XE has a barometric pressure sensor (basically an electric circuit chip), the barometric pressure is used to adjust distance in a mathematical formula the main circuit board calculates.

    This course is beautiful. I do like the very green courses in Malaysia, also, though. One thing about the midwest and other areas around the world is they can be extremely green during spring and summer. I grew up in the midwest and worked there for awhile, too but after leaving and coming back, it's a real shocker how beautiful it is.
    I have to take the sun above all though, for health, and that means desert southwest.

    Colorado's elevation from 2000m to 4400m so Air density, like air pressure, decreases with increasing altitude. It also changes with variation in atmospheric pressure, temperature and humidity. So your ball will go further the higher the altitude.

    • @shepdawg66
      @shepdawg66 2 года назад +1

      Don't bother with Lakota. We played there in 2020 and it was a dog track. We caught up with a member on the back 9 and he explained how it was in bankruptcy then changing owners, etc. Zero amenities, baked out fairways and greens. Not worth the trip. We played Redlands Mesa on the same trip and had a great time.
