Matt developed this fly with some assistance from Chris Johnson of Living Waters Fly Fishing. This fly was initially created to target picky Rio Grande Cichlids but has proven very effective on all sunfish, bass, and carp in bigger sizes. Brass eyes help get it down to the bottom where it belongs.

What would a good substitute for the B10S hook be?

About any hook but I’d stick with the straight eye and comparable shank length (close in length but not critical).
