This is my most favorite Hendrix song and these guys did it some serious justice. I know Jimi doesn't give a care about the haters here. It was crisp and clean and it hits my soul. Good job. F'realies.

Living Colour is a great band. I like this cover. Jimi Hendrix was a great musical talent who influenced many.

I had this cassette 25 years ago and it was stolen. I found this CD today at a thrift store for a dollar. I forgot how many good bands are on this album. I listened to the whole album today while cooking mass quantities of food for college students.

I was first surprised that this sounds so 1980s-like, only to realize that this was a covered version. Great cover though.
Living Colour knocked this out primarily because of Coey Glover's vocals.
I do understand why the Hendrix purists may not appreciate this version, however.
The lead vocalist in ANY Hendrix song was his stratocaster.

Living Colour blew the Rolling stones off the stage at the Oakland Coliseum during the Steel Wheels tour. They represent Rock at it's finest. For those who don't like covers, Jimi's cover of All Along the Watchtower does no justice to Dylan's Original version...My point, covers are covers...

Much as I love Living Colour, the true killer on this album is The Cure doing Purple haze. That is a reinterpretation adding to the original.

Saw these guys preform this in 09' or 10' I believe at the Fox in Stl with the Experience Hendrix Tour and they do a fucking solid job. Why anyone would shit on someone for bringing Hendrix to newer audiences is beyond me. I remember being a close minded high school kid but for fucks sake, if your an adult and cant even remotely get behind this then you're; one, an invalid, two, musically challenged.
