Hi James, I'm bringing out a school group in a few weeks and These videos are part of the reason We chose the via lattea! Vids are really useful to get to know what runs and routes to take with the groups so thank you! Can you ski all the way into cesana and the Gondola up to sansicario or do you have to get the lift down the last section? Also I love the quality of your videos 👍 what do you use to film them? Cheers Chris
Hi Chris, I'm glad you like the videos. I use a GoPro along with the Karma grip for stabilisation. At the moment you have to take the last 2 man chair down into Cesana to the bottom of the gondola. I hope you all have a great time here!
Your videos are helpful for my friends and I heading out this winter all being well 🤞but our biggest question is how long does it take to get to montgenevre and back? We're a good standard so should be achievable but would like to know how long it takes people?
Hi Mark, thanks for watching our videos. For a good standard of skier it should take 2-3 hrs (queues dependent) to get over to France. When I do it I get the first lift 9am and usually I’m in Monty by 11:45. You should have time for a couple of runs over there before heading back. Hopefully we’ll do a video this season dedicated to the trip, pointing out crucial lifts and also time keeping. You don’t want to miss the last lift back as taxis are expensive!
Fingers 🤞, Italy, please no shut down for the Brits, we are coming next month since the French banned us. Our first choice destination was Austria, France and then Italy, please Italy no Lockdown
I took Le Rocher de L'Aigle as usual last March to start my long ski back to Sauze. Arriving at the top I saw all routes back were closed due to avalanche risk & huge volumes of snow. Ended up skiing back down to Montgenevre & finally reached Sansicario 3 mins after the last lift. Taxi home from Cessana!
