It would've been nice to know which are the name/number of the slopes that we have seen in the video, just for reference. I'm about to go to this ski resort at the end f this month and I'm trying to know which are the best slopes to run.
Hello. Planning to go there this winter. Can you say please where in Via Lattea there is the best beginners slopes? In your video I can see some very open and not too step slopes. If you could please relate then to the station (Sestriere, etc.) it would be great. Thanks a lot and great video!
Beginners will find easy slopes near the base and practice lifts at Sestriere ski resort. But also in Montgenèvre, there are excellent areas for beginners at the base areas directly at the villages. The connections of Monti della Luna to Clavière and Montgenèvre are also very manageable for beginners. Wish you a great trip.
Planning to go there in February. Seems fun to me to try and learn some language too. Do a lot of people speak French, Italian or dialect? Are there a lot of Spanish speaking people there (as that’s what I’ve been learning)?
Sounds like a good plan. On the Italian side they mostly speak Italian and some English. In Montgenévre, French, English and some Italian. But no Spanish on both side of the border. Wish you a good ski trip.
What a nice video! Anyway, the ski resort is one of the most overrated in Italy because most of the chairlifts are old. Probably, the only positive thing of VL is the fact that is very cheap. Moreover, slopes are prepared very well, as far as I can see.
@@detlefmann7433 You are right, as far as the chairlifts are detachable it’s okay. But sometimes they should upgrade some crucial chairlifts. For example “seggiovia valbiolo” at Passo del Tonale is always crowded on Sunday, and it’s a 4 seat detachable chairlift! I think this is a case where an upgrade must be considered.
@@MatteoP-rm2mi ... the same situation like "Grindelwald / Maennlichenalp" (CH) ... there are a few 4-seat- chairlifts, but too much people are waiting at sunny days ... the same at the "Firstalp- ropeway".
thats why its cheaper, imagine if they would have brand new lifts.. a skipass(1day) would be 65 - 80 Euros, which is to much. Im totally with with 49-55 Euros and u get 400km of slopes/piste for it.
@@xRob 400 km of bullshits. Most of ski resorts lie about their kilometers and Via Lattea is one of them. If everything is opened, most of the times isn't, they are about 200km
Great video..!! We go 4 weeks today can't wait yippeeeee..!!

I think, the matter with the "antique chairlifts" is okay ... it's only important that they move fast (detachable !!)

Poor equipment, terrible slopes and lifts layout. My worst skiing experience in 25 years.
The slopes look fab…?
Strange comment, it was great
