- Wangan Midnight anime racing series! Kei gets his Toyota Supra supertuned to 800hp for a rematch against the "Blackbird" Porsche 964! And this time I've made a special alternate edit edition! @@masashiiino6914 skill/cars dont shine unless you can overcome obstacles with said skill/car, drags are so boring to me cause its a straight line for who has more HP, handling plays a big factor but if the driver can't handle on a straight what's the point, wangans/togue/rally/f1 and more, if you can bump 1000 horses on a wangan while hitting sharp intersections/ turns/ swerving cars under all that power and keeping it constant, then you driving boy, its like the show is telling there is struggle between tuner/driver and the car, I feel like that supra felt different because of kei
its good tuned as well fwd is not important to this race type but its weird

How interesting, 800hp was considered a shit ton back than, now people expect supra's to make 1000hp.
ikr People don't seem to understand how much overkill that actually is these days either lol. When you're street racing the car with more hp is not always the fastest. Driving skills and other aspects come into play.
Thats not a Big Deal today. I was spending a Bit over 10.000 bucks and Mine is at 1050 right now. Nothing special so far.

800hp is insanely high and dangerous in an FR if you keep your foot down for long period of time while weaving around traffic.
It still is a shit ton. Most of the 1000hp Supras you see nowadays are laggy, single turbo unbalanced messes. A vehicle's true performance is dictated by many things, not just peak horsepower. In real world circuit racing a properly modified vehicle would absolutely destroy one that just dyno's well.
The racing sequences are just beautifully animated.

They had to use cars from companies they have the license for so they just put a Mitsubishi GTO there.
I'm just wondering why no one had used the GTO all this time when those could make the power just as easy and with AWD! I could imagine it may have been able to keep up with the Supra, Blackbird and all them pretty easily

DiE LoG The engine being DOHC is good, and it’s not as heavy as you’d think. A few simple modifications and you’re right at the Supra’s weight. The GTO may not have been a handling machine but it’s meant for high speed runs just like on the Wangan- the active aero is absolutely amazing at high speeds

Some car enthusiasts will have a connection to their own car. I have the same towards a 3000GT. It's not the greatest car of all time nor is it a VR4, but ever since I laid hands on it, it's become a part of me. A work of art that has so much history to it. Sometimes a car can represent a person and most wouldn't know it.

the moment you put your car key on your keychain with confidence that's when a car is yours and I haven't lost my keychain since I was 6 years old or so. that's 20 years. it's like any bike onboard you watch, you always see a keychain showing you the gforces. unless you keychain scratches your dash to much that's exactly how you roll/drift/race.

@@trendgil I'm saying if you grew up with these small carkeys on keychains you can cherish them despite the fact that even the key of a Ferrari F50 looks small cheap and so on compared to todays "standards". I can't see myself losing it. And if you put the key on a keychain it becomes a G force indicator in your car. Modern keyfobs look ... flashy... the BMW ones are almost like a cellphone or jewlery, but in my eyes they are just useless and lame. Google search "Bmw E30 key", it was nice when keys weren't gadgets but simply meant to open your car, and if such a simple key belongs to an insane car then it's almost like the holy grail in indiana jones, it doesn't matter how it looks it's way more important than that.

It's still a 930 it's common to call it like that rather than 964

It's not as if Toyota didn't always have some boring cars... But things are looking bright for Toyota, they gave us the new 86, the Camry and Corolla handle better than they ever have in recent times, and the new Supra will be here soon.
The new supra is basically a BMW.
@@Marcihun-wl2vy Yeah, I was a bit diisappointed with the bmw engine, but I checked and people are getting over 600WHP from it. If they use strong enough internals to achieve just that by simply modifying turbo, intercooler, and exhaust on the new Supra/Z4, we cant complain. 600WHP from a high compression engine are the best of those worlds. Being able to keep the 2 original turbos and just buy a third OEM one to make a triple turbo i6 setup is also a plus. You sacrifice low end torque as they need more revs to spool up with only 2 cylinders per turbo, but from 3500 to 7000 rpm, they are getting amazing power curves. as the torque gently tapers down, the power curve doesn't rise too steeply, unlike large single turbo setups. For a sports car, having a usable power for 50% of the total rev range, is as good as it gets. What's left to see is how light they can get when you strip them out and replace most of the bodywork with glass fibre reinforced plastic. If they get 600WHP and 1800 pounds, they will be unbeatable.
If the BMW is priced similarly, I'd go for that though, and not even buying new. I'd need to buy used for 1/2 of the brand new price.

People who can afford to own fast cars generally will only give it up if they no longer can afford to own them. Money is the deciding factor basically.

But I think that as long as I'll be able to, I'll just keep cars as a hobby. I've loved cars ever since I was 4, so it goes without saying, that it's something I'll keep in my life. Especially now that I finally have driven (here it's legal if you have someone with you) I feel like I'll never get bored of it...

Yep, can confirm this. Have owned an 800hp C5 Corvette for 10 years. A lot of fun but unuseable unless on full drag radials, which in turn would hurt it's handling.

Just de tuned it back down to 400 hp for the C1 LOOP since hes the strongest driver on there. They didnt want him to die like his father did and he can still continue racing
