- To finish up our tour of Southeast Asia, we spent a few weeks cycling in Central Vietnam. We experienced lots of highs and lows in Vietnam, going from fantastic cycling roads along the coast to intense and unpredictable traffic in the cities. We spent some time off the bikes in Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An before boxing our bikes and flying to South Korea.

Respect to the woman for long long ride. Wished both of you be safe and fun .
I love Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore but Vietnam is the most beautiful place I've ever been 🥰 Also super friendly people. Its a little unorganized but you can get use to it.
Come back and do it all again in the summer.
Wow, hard to believe it’s been over 600 days. What a journey. What a rolling existence!
this is my hometown. Quang Binh - a beautiful province of Vietnam
Lovely to see the big smiles at the beginning of your video. I was hit by a scooter in Ben Tre in southern vietnam. It was my fault not like Jenny who was not at fault. Jenny you are such a resilient women, congrats for jumping back on the steel horse so to speak. Dreamed of cycling the four rivers but Im getting old now, Thanks for letting me cycle through your videos. Best of luck and thanks for posting
Well come to all. Vietnam love all!
Those rides along the beach are the best !
they beaches are full of rubbish and human waste, many a time we would see whole turds washing up on the beach
Yeah they're some of our favorites!
Semangat 👍
부럽네요. 커플 자전거여행~~❤💛 굿굿
Be good for health cycling look good day ! I am your fan !
beautiful recording
Beautiful video.
It's nice to see you guys going through Vietnam. This is the first video I've seen of you guys, I will follow you in the next journey. +1 subscriber for u.
A great trip. A great video. Love bike rides. Had a 100 km trip yesterday, but it's nothing compared to what you ride everyday. Ride safe both of you. Your new subscriber from Russia.
Super cool adventures Andrew and Jenny! I dont even have to travel there any more to see what its like. Keep on rollin'! 🙌🏾🚴🏽♂️🚴♀️ Miles
Am glad that Jenny is ok... Would be nice to see you guys conquering China too...
We'd certainly like to visit someday!
Enjoy my country and be safe ! ❤
enchanting journey
I'm so sorry you got hit by that careless rider. I know that stretch between Hoi An and Da Nang, and while it's wide, it has never felt very safe to me. Most Vietnamese riders/drivers are reasonably cautious, but you occasionally see some shockingly careless moves. You got some great shots! I especially like the one of the sleeping dog. You both seem to have just the right attitude for this. Safe and fun travels!
Amazing👍🚴♀️
respect!!!!!
Beautiful cycling route 24:24
Chúc mừng đến du lịch Việt Nam. Chúc luôn khỏe mạnh.
I gotta say, I've been following you guys for two years now and each ride seems better than the last one. You just seem to have a magic formula in your video taping or editing, I don't know what, but keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you so much! Glad you're enjoying the videos 😊

Have a safe trip. I do enjoy your video. So which your favorite country in South East Asia?
You two ate that ENTIRE sushi boat???? WOW. :) There were lots of impressive things but that one stood out!
We were really hungry 😅
Chào mừng bạn đến việt nam chúng tôi. Chúc bạn có chuyến đi vui vẻ
Thank you! 😊
It's a mercy Jenny wasn't hurt, hit by a scooter.
Congratulations on a fantastic ride through SE Asia.
I saw a video of you riding on Swiss roads a few years ago, and now you're coming to Korea. Welcome to Korea in East Asia!
Korea is a very nice country, but it's not the best time to ride a bike right now.
We're in the middle of the rainy season, which usually lasts about four weeks, from late June to late July. And when the rainy season ends, there's a huge heat wave, which Koreans call the Bullbyotdowi, which means the fiery heat. Nowadays, due to climate change, we often experience tropical nights where the temperature doesn't cool down even at night.
Korea is a busy and congested place, so if you're on public roads, watch out for cars in a hurry. On bike only paths, you'll have a much more relaxed and enjoyable ride.
If only I could see you on the beautiful roads of Korea!
I hope you enjoy your ride in South Korea.
Sorry to hear about the scooter incident. But glad the damage was just to the bags. And the sushi boat looked amazing!
Hello two friends, welcome to my country.
Glad to see two friends cycling around the world that I have been following every night, have come to the familiar streets of Vietnam. I'm your fan, I watch a lot of your videos. I wish you both a very enjoyable experience in my country, Vietnam.
We loved our time in Vietnam! You live in a very beautiful and vibrant country 😊 Glad that you're enjoying the videos!
As a Korean, I've really enjoyed your journey! Welcome to South Korea and I'll also expect to watch more of your videos :)
Nice
Glad that crash didn’t end with an injury (or worse)! Love to watch your videos and really looked forward to this one. And it didn’t disappoint at all! Just for me: would be great to see more on how you get a place to stay and see some interaction with the locals. Other then that, keep on rollin’! Looking forward to the next video!❤
Patient, determine, courage, hardworking 🦾🦾🦾💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💚💚💗🍇
I visit SEA often great stuff.
cool adventure in Vietnam! Let me know if you have plans to visit the Philippines
We'll definitely get in touch! We love seeing your photos and video, it looks like such a wonderful place! We weren't able to make it there on this trip but we'd like to plan a standalone tour there in the future 👍
@@RollingExistence Yay! haha I'm thinking of visiting Northern Vietnam
Awesome 😎 biking trip Vn ❤
Vietnam country side is AMAZING 👏 😍 ❤️
UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE !!
welcome to Vietnam 😊😊😊
Thank you!! 😊
👍
Walking, running, bicycles, escooters, green open spaces, electric buses and trams are all parts of a good transportation system
Sorry to hear that Jenny was hit. Looking forward to more great video in South Korea. I hope to get there in the next year or so to ride from Seoul to Busan. Cheers and best of luck!
Wow! Traffic in cities is just insane. You must have felt very vulnerable in a few situations.
Definitely, the intensity is hard to get used to!
Well come to Việt nam ❤❤❤❤❤
Glad that you are ok Jenny .. tough busy traffic Asian country .. Philippines is not exception as well .. but when you get outside the Manila area should get better .. be safe and thank you for posting your adventures .. so proud of making this leap to go out there and do bike tour this long .. take care
INCREDIBLE BICYCLE TRACKS FRIENDS
Quite the adventure...maybe I'm just getting too old but the hazards outweigh the benefit...between the weather and traffic and road conditions it is pretty darn stupid. I'm surprised more accidents didn't happen.
Hello from Viet Nam
Almost no cars, motorcycle seems to be the main transportation there. 👍
Definitely, the motorcycle traffic is the most intense out of everywhere we've cycled!
Thanks for sharing your trip and experience. I do not have a need to visit Vietnam in my life time but it's great to be able to see it in your video.
Einfach toll 🎉 herzliche Gratulation ❤
Incredible trip, incredible couple.
Tuyệt kkk
Your spirit is high! ❤
welcome to Vietnam, i love your journey, i'm Vietnamese, i love cycling around.
Too short video. Hope that u will make more detailed videos if you comeback Vietnam 😁
Wao😮,,tuyệt vời,cảm ơn 2 bạn đã có cuộc hanh trình dai tốt đẹp ở đất nước việt nam tôi,chúc 2 bạn trải nghiệm vui vẻ bình an❤❤
Thank you!! 😊
a very good journey, hopefully we can get to Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia. stay careful and healthy always on your cycling journey
Totally amzing what you guys are doing! Ride safe always
Glad that nothing serious happened in the crash!! Did the person at least stop?!
The person did stop to make sure Jenny was ok. There wasn't too much to be done though, especially with the language barrier. She was very apologetic.
Wow nice video I like it bike touring ❤👍💪
love your content & love your journey ❤🇻🇳
We should really avoid the highway when cycling through Vietnam. However, interesting experiences with nature and people will be worth the trade-off. Really sorry about the accident at the last minute. A warning light and a small bell are tips to avoid unnecessary accidents when we cycle in Vietnam. Our traffic and culture are improving day by day. Hope you are excited in the next coming to Vietnam. Thanks!
That sushi boat! 8o)
I saw my hometown at 6:16 :D
wish you guys have a good and safety trip !
I am not surprised you got hit by scooter in Vn because many people there don’t even know they need to wear eye glasses 😂😂😂admire your guys adventure
i advice when you want visit beach in Vietnam do not go when it look cloudy and windy. some time in Vietnam there will be a typhoon.
people who not know Vietnam well don't know this thing. typhoon in Vietnam is cruel it deadly sometime best just find some hotel. and see the beach tomorrow if weather going well
I love to see you guys cycling. And I especially like the parts from Thailand which I also cycled last winter. I noticed you guys also enjoyed it much. But I have to ask ... do you wear only one shirt and do you ever wash it?
Yes, we each have one cycling shirt. In SE Asia where we were sweating a lot and staying in hotels, we would wash them pretty much every night. In cooler climates we wash them less often.
Are you happy when you come to Vietnam with difficulties on the way? That's how Vietnam is, hard and busy, what will you describe to your loved ones when you are in our country? Wish your journey more favorable and sunny
We had a wonderful time in Vietnam despite a couple difficult experiences! It's a beautiful country and we hope to return one day 😊
Hey Guys enjoying your Channel can you direct me to a vid that Details your Boxing / Packing gear / Bike between Flights and Countries?👍
👏👏👏😉🚴🇧🇷
Do you recommend single-speed bikes and why don't you use bikes with suspension? It's not more comfortable for all types of terrain. Can you explain it to me?
Glad she is ok. You guys must have really strong legs :D
I'm glad Jenny wasn't hurt in the accident, that was a crazy ride! They sure love to blast their horns there, I might move out there and become a horn salesman😉I hope South Korea will be good to you both, looking forward to the next part of your adventure👍
Please please please...ride the Chinese border nth of Hanoi....but go light it's super hilly. I've travelled alot in my life and the mountains and people are outstanding....good luck
Hello (How you doing) (Where you from) giggle giggles
I really enjoy your videos! It seems that you travel quite swiftly...i.e. not party pace...what is your typical avg. speed, when you don't have epiq climbs?
Also, it looks like you are running 28" wheels....not so common in the US...will you do a Video on the bikes?
If it's flat ground we typically cruise around 12mph. But it all depends on the wind, the scenery, road conditions, etc. We do have a video on our bikes (and you're correct on the tires), it should show up on our channel homepage 👍
Should I ride bike in during thunderstorm
Brilian dunia in 🇮🇩
Sabaidee. What camera brand you do this vlog
We mostly use a GoPro Hero 8 and a Fuji XT-4.
Can I ask what camera equipment you use ?
We have a detailed list of camera equipment in the video description 👍
Which camara use its nice
We have a detailed list of our camera equipment in the video description 👍
Bicycles, ebikes, electric cargo bicycles, robo taxis and escooters are great options for last mile, short distance travel.
Reduced transportation costs and fossil fuels free transportation.
Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles by providing SAFE, PROTECTED BIKE LANES and trails. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Bicycles are healthy exercise and fossil fuels free transportation. Electric bicycles are bringing many older adults back to cycling. Ride to work, ride to school, ride for health or ride for fun. Children should be able to ride a bicycle to school without having to dodge cars and trucks. Separated and protected bike lanes are required. It will also make the roads safer for automobile drivers. Transportation planners and elected officials need to encourage people to walk, bike and take public transportation. Healthy exercise and fossil fuels free transportation. In the future cities will be redesigned for people not cars. Crazy big parking lots will be transformed with solar canopies generating free energy from the sun.
How did you find these sweet routes that weren't the big highway? A certain app?
We use OSMand+ for android for all our route finding, we use the bicycle navigation feature set to 'balanced' and it suggests us all sorts of crazy routes. We don't normally follow it exactly, we just take the suggestion and customize it with the goal of avoiding highways as much as possible but not adding a ton of unnecessary miles.
@@RollingExistence OSMand+ got it. Well done.
Rohloffs paying for themselves at 3:33!
Interesting that you got flipped off and whatnot occasionally. Any theories as to why that is? Because you're American? Because you're white? I've never head any bike tourer mention that happening to them while in Vietnam - although I suppose most people don't really mention the negatives.
Other than that, Vietnam looks amazing. I'd love to ride the Ho Chi Minh road, but there's so much cool stuff on the coast too! Might be a wiggly one! 😅
p.s. Glad Jenny wasn't hurt in the crash. Frustrating, but all part of the adventure in SE Asia I guess!
I bet those flipped them off are kids lol. There youtubers they drove motorbike from southern Vietnam to northern Vietnam and along the way there are kids flipping them off it was hilarious.
Looks like pizzas 4P ..if so there amazing
You guessed it! We love 4Ps, it's so good 👌
Are you both in leh ladakh???
No, we didn't make it there on this trip unfortunately!
@@RollingExistence okey
the next episode you go to Cambodia. Right ???
We cycled across Cambodia on a different trip back in 2016, so we didn't make it back there this time around. After Vietnam we went to South Korea!
Wonderful views! I never been interested about Vietnam, but this video make me interesting for Vietnam🇻🇳
Thanks so much for using our songs🙏
you should be careful when driving like this because vietnam street is most very dangerous in the world
Did you meet Cruise?
Or lazy a$$ fat boy ELI. LOL. Cruise and Thong are like vampires only riding near dusk.
Weird thing is 90% of the tour bikers don't stop in DaNang. Some crazy leftover ideas from the war, I guess.
It's actually a tame place compared to Saigon and Hanoi. Hoi Anh wasn't that great to me. Water side docks and a bunch of tourist clothing and trinket shops. It was dark when I got there and only rode around an hour in the morning drizzle and on to DaNang for a night. The buskers dragged me to the Marble mountain statue making place.
