This entire Evangelion franchise (anime and movies) can be summed up to: The fate of the universe put on the shoulders of an unprepared weak 14 year old child who never blooms, so everything is fked. That's all there is to it.

I like this movie the most!! The fight scene, the world building, the emotions, the bravery of taking a total different route. Glad you see you guys reacting to it.
Can definitely get behind that. Redo is all sorts of shit thrown at a wall. Doesn't feel like Anno really cared, and even if he did, this was over an hour of him lapsing in Shinji victim-mentality. Make no mistake, Shinji is ABSOLUTELY a victim as MOST children are to this world, but after the ending of 2.22 it both makes perfect sense for the mindset of such a journey, and barely _any_ sense by way of storytelling.

My theory is that 3.33 and 3.0+1.0 are direct sequels to the end of Evangelion, shinji was in unit 1 for 14 years, 3.33 was originally supposed be released in Japan on 2011 exactly 14 years since the release of end of Evangelion, but Japan was hit by a massive tsunami that claimed the lives of so many people, this caused production to be postponed and forced them to release the movie a year later
@josemachado6296 3.33 and 3.33+1.11 being Sequels to The End of Evangelion is an equivalent of Terminator: Genisys being a Sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It makes 0 sense.

Man, watching this reaction just reminded me how much I disliked this film. The way it introduced a new cast of characters but had little focus or development made them seem so unnecessary. Also the way people acted like jerks to Shinji instead of explaining things basically just so the plot could happen was so frustrating.
This third movie is actually terrible. I loved the second one, and I was SO hyped for the third, just for it to be a huge disappointment. And now that I am watching this reaction, I think its even worse than I remember. This move was a dud. Total disappointment because Anno decided to Redo the story after the second film, ironically for the title “You can (not) Redo”. It performed so poorly Anno actually walked away from the Rebuild project for awhile and did an entire Godxzipla movie before being coerced to do the final film (the third and fourth film were supposed to be released together see 1.11 booklet for confirmation).
Didn't know, but figured that's how it went on my own. NOBODY talked about this movie at the time, and barely anyone talked about the final one either. He didn't have a plan. He was just going a bit crazy. I guarantee it. I've seen some comments saying this movie was basically an allegory for how Eva changed the landscape, spawning a bunch of shitty clones and poor quality _products,_ but the fact that this and the last were *nine year apart* tells me it was some kind of weird self-owning test. When we watch media, it's BETTER than fine to have layers and commentary. What sucks is when the storytelling, pacing and writing suffer because of the aforementioned.

Mari sings different hits in the film's sequel.
As much of a fan of NGE as I am, I never saw the three/four last (remake) movies. I figured they were just straight up just the same, but with better animation. But then 3.33 goes full last arc of Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water on you... Did not expect Hideaki Anno to pull that again.
この人たちが何を言っているのかは分からないけど純粋にアニメを楽しんでそうで嬉しい
I actually like how Asuka treats Shinji, it makes sense. To him the final battle in the Geofront happened recently, to her that was 14yrs ago and just seeing Shinji reminds her of all the things she's been holding in about herself and the world's current state. Honestly this version of Asuka has alot of legit reasons for acting how she does, the why just hasnt been entirely revealed yet
I mean... "The curse of the eva" is its own dilemma, but yeah, I feel her.
She's a whole-ass woman, but this was her reward for trying to save humanity.
Yeah, who cares about spoilers? They likely saw 3.0+1.0 weeks ago, and the movie's been out for almost three years.
I feel like they need to watch breakdown video after all this...
Honestly, watching breakdowns of the show/movies definitely helps you enjoy them much on a rewatch.
I’ve seen this movie 3 times & I cannot explain it. Each time I just let it wash over me.
For this go something like:
"Shinji wants to redo"
Kaworu: lets redo then
Shinji: i am going to redo
Kaworu: wait you can not redo
Shinji: but i want to redo anyway
Kaworu head goes boom
Shinji: but all i wanted was to redo
I like to call this movie, "Everyone's an Asshole to Shinji"
Did you miss the rest of Evangelion? 😂
But seriously, EVERYONE is an asshole in Eva. It goes to show we are ALL assholes.
The ship IS a giant eva... when the attack pierced the wings you see blood splatter before the explosion.
26:46 spidey asking the real questions, this movie was filled with ass pulls
Thrice Upon a Time 3.0+1.0 and expect a good ending,........ perhaps, the end credits of the last movie 22.20 Kaworu speared unit 1 with unit 6 and everything went to crap from the near third impact. The clue for the ending is in the title of the next movie by the way :)
Watch post credits, you might know more... :)
Can't wait for you to react on the last one.... it is even more weird than the others.
this one makes kaoru's death mean so much more, shinji wakes up and learns he cant trust misato or asuka because they wont talk to him so he leaves. then he realizes he cant trust gendo, rei, or even himself. but he can trust kaoru, he was the only one who told him the truth and gave him hope, even sacrificing himself out of trust.
Keep em coming , my fav pieces of media
Ahh... flashbacks to that time i bought myself the most depressing and confusing gift to myself on valentines day. 3.33 somebody just talk to Shinji already
Now for the authentic experience wait like 10 years before watching the last one.
I think the gap between 2.22 and 3.33 was actually longer. I'll look
Oh god, 3.0+1.0 was a 9 year gap. It didn't feel like that to me, and somehow i didn't see 3.0 til about 5 years after it came out. Guess that explains it... but interestingly, I saw NOBODY talking about 3.0 at all in the time between its 2012 release and when I finally saw it in 2017.
@@Virjunior01 It was hard to speak of this movie because the most cohesive thoughts most people could drum up were either they liked it or they didn't. And most didn't. And explaining why was unpleasantly easy because it just makes no goddamn sense. Or for those that liked it they'd attempt to explain why and things circled back to it made no goddamn sense. So people just got their face value opinion out and then stopped talking about it because it made for terrible conversation.

Absolute nonsense.
Nah dude. This isn't self-aware timeline string theory stuff.
Fun fact: Kaworu isn't playing Shinji, he's actually genuinely trying to help him but didn't have enough information at the end. He himself was tricked. Kaworu is the real one.
I honestly don't know if this was ever said, and I'd be sad if you guys never found out, but the VOICE ACTOR for Rolo from Code Geass was ACTUALLY the OG voice actor for Shinji! 🎉 Congrats on finishing the series 🎉
This is just a thought that would be interesting but the after the next movie reaction (I know they did all these reactions already) the editor should either make a video or sit them down and go through at least the facts of what did happen in these movies and then if they wanted go through at least the main theories of what is widely believed of both the show and movies it would be interesting to see those reactions
honestly, Ya'll should have watched Shin Godzilla in between this and the next movie.
When you get someone who give you support...
Marketa look genuinely worried/stressed. I feel bad lol

This entire Evangelion franchise (anime and movies) can be summed up to:
The fate of the universe put on the shoulders of an unprepared weak 14 year old child who never blooms, so everything is fked.
That's all there is to it.
One more movie…as a life long evangelion fan I was depressed after watching the final movie. I was happy how the characters got an ending and it’s message but it made me sad to have it come to an end (happy at the same time tho cuz all the damn time it took between movies to arrive to the US)
I like this movie the most!! The fight scene, the world building, the emotions, the bravery of taking a total different route. Glad you see you guys reacting to it.
there's some confusion cos you didn't see the credits of 2.22 at the very end the 3er impact has been stopped by unit 13 using the spear of Longinus
that's unit 06, not 13.
Feel confused?
Don't worry, WE ALL FEEL IT!!!
4th movie, but 3rd ending. Thrice upon a time
The 3rd movie is my least favorite, the last one is absolutely amazing, however.
You guys need to watch Shin Godzilla before Shin Eva.
35:43 you get it
Next time don't watch a movie while you are tired already.
I totally forgot there was an another movie
The las one will be the BEST.
The movie where nobody explain things to Shinji
この後、続編に10年待たされた
I will go back and watch the other Evangelion Movies.
But, Spidey is Hot though. I won't mind being Gay with him.
hmm, i know this is still the other dub but it sounds better than what they did with the last movie
kaworu just said: I don't know if you should do this maybe we should stop
what he should have said: hey this is going to trigger the 4th impact and explode my head let's not trust your extremely manipulative and evil dad
It makes me laugh how many people try to make some kind of deep sense of the plot, as if it really means something.
People, don't kill yourselves trying to explain the inexplicable, or make sense of something that doesn't make sense.
Kind of want The Normies to experience Higurashi or School Days just to see them suffer through the absolute mental madness, lol.
No dude. We are NOT doing those.
you are (not) prepared for the next movie
Wasn't there a 3.0 before this one?
There is one called 3.0+1.0 which is after 3.33. This movie series has the weirdest numbering (Navi).
@@Thenormies 3.0 is 3.33
3.33 is the Blue ray version of the movie 3.0 and 3.0 + 1.0 is the 4th movie if you do the math.
"3.0 + 1.0" is indicating the title of the film "Thrice upon a time" as everything from all 3 comes together at once.
They each do this stupid Kingdom Hearts shit.
1.0 > 1.11
2.0 > 2.22
3.0 > 3.33
3.0+1.0 = 4.0, but supposedly represent some bullshit, as you'll see in the next movie. It's... really stupid.
The action is super over the top, but feels like it serves no purpose.
In the series, each Angel presented the characters with strategic, moral and behavioral dilemmas.
In these new fights, they're just flashy action with no substance, and the concepts of "budgets" or "resources" become meaningless.
The only thing kept is battery capacity, but hey! We just saw Asuka go beast mode (a huge departure in 2.0/2.22) and she fucking used it to self-destruct.
The time skip is cool, but it sucks you need to hunt for info regarding what happened during it. And that makes everything else in 3.0/3.33 suffer greatly.
@@Virjunior01 I don't think you get that Eva is purposely hard to understand and you need to comb through a lot of statements and supplemental media to get a lot of concepts.
And also with the fights, most of them aren't meant to be story heavy and shit, it's the before and after of said fights that give you the substance of the film.
Ps. You made this comment five months ago, and I hope that you have actually changed your opinion on the fight scenes. No hate to you or anyone that dislikes the Rebuilds either.
This one was a trip. Meh first time watching but amazing on second viewing
More proof that these are a sequel to end of Evangelion: Gendo has the giant Rei/Lilith head.

I mean, the moral of the this movie in specific is: Don't forget to WATCH all the post credits before starts the next movie lol
my recommendatino if you guys are confused by the end of the next movie is to watch an anime from the 90s called Revolutionary Girl Utena and it's film Adolescence of Utena. Very different worlds but very similar storytelling and ultimate meanings.
Kinda like Anno is just making the same things over an over.
Lol I like the weird noises the girl on the right be making
Don't you guys watch boruto?🌝
Naruto Again*
No reason to. And Naruto is basic as fuck.
Rebuild is Hideaki Anno’s George Lucas moment, where we all are shown how good was that in the originals they DIDNT have enough resources nor power to make it crappy.
Wow. For real.
How does that make any sense whatsoever in your brain?
@kuhpunkt it's more of a fun fact 😆, but I can elaborate a bit more if you'd like
@@josemachado6296 It's not a fun fact. It's just wrong.
@josemachado6296 3.33 and 3.33+1.11 being Sequels to The End of Evangelion is an equivalent of Terminator: Genisys being a Sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
It makes 0 sense.
Plzz guys make a reaction videos animal movie trailer plzzz guys
I watched the original 90s EVA series last year and I LOVED it, especially EOE, it was weird as hell but it spoke to me on so many levels, I really enjoyed parts 1 and 2 of the rebuilds as well but this third movie... Oh god, I love Anno, but I have no idea what He was saying here, I fucking hated this movie, it was a jumbled, unwatchable mess, I still haven't seen the last movie and I kinda don't have the energy to jump into it after this disappointment.
I can't imagine what long-time fans had to go through watching these as they were coming out.
This movie is the fucking worst. It's a good thing the last one mostly makes up for it.
No, it's the best.
@@kuhpunkt No, it's shit. It's just a mess of nonsense.
Goddamn that dub is horrible.
But the fourth and last movie was pretty great and I was satisfied with the conclusion, as well as the theories about Evangelion that it gave birth to.
It's not terrible.
That was awful. Every character is terrible now. I want Kaji back

What an absolute shit show of a movie
These movies are visually stunning but god they are so ass lmao. The original series and movie are great but the only good part of the rebuilds is the first section of the 4th movie
Sahaquiel (Falling Bomb Angel) was AMAZING, dude. Put that sequence up against the original and they did SUCH a good job in the remake. And Mari's beast bit was great too.
Simply put, 1.11 is just recap. 2.22 is wonderful, and adjusts things in a nice direction. 3.33 is a psychotic mess. 3.0+1.0 is calming down in the jail cell after 3.33ing all over millions of people.
I was about to name character with really anoyind V.A. voices like Asuka's and Misato but all of them suck ass really, why you do this guys??
This move was a dud. Total disappointment because Anno decided to Redo the story after the second film, ironically for the title “You can (not) Redo”. It performed so poorly Anno actually walked away from the Rebuild project for awhile and did an entire Godxzipla movie before being coerced to do the final film (the third and fourth film were supposed to be released together see 1.11 booklet for confirmation).
lol
