How to Mix House Music in FL Studio | Beginner Tutorial

Thank you for the tutorial! Here's the important things I took away
1. Start by isolating song to a part where most of the instruments are playing.
2. Start mix with drums
- Kick must be loudest
- Try to have everything under -7db, keep faders low for headroom
- Loud samples are usually clipped and have more processing, for a cleaner mix use cleaner samples
- After gain staging drums send to a submix
- Create a send and add a multiband compressor (used preset mastering 2.4db), after this add something for texture, he used waveshaper)
- After this if things are clipping lower individual channels
3. Gainstage rest of instruments keeping it simple, side chain bass and kick together.
4. Keep it simple
