My husband and I are retiring in a couple of years and want to travel. We didn’t even think of looking at toy haulers but now I think we will! We won’t start out 24/7 but would like to do the same thing once grands start going off to college and settling down. Love it! Thank you for the tour!,
I'm so happy finding you here on RUclips! I'm planning to stay in my new to me 37' toyhauler for the summer while trying to figure out what I want in a house. I ride motorcycles, so that's the main reason for the toyhauler. But I also have a small Machine Embroidery and sewing business that I started a couple years ago. I'm now retired, and moving closer to my daughter and granddaughters. I would also like to be a part-time Snowbird. I really enjoyed watching your tour of your sewing area. My Embroidery Machine is Brother Innovis 6000D which is a sewing/embroidery combo like yours. Travel safe, and keep on Sewing!!
I would love to be you! Our RV is a 30 ft class C so definitely not as much room. I still take things to sew but usually hand work. I recently bought a Lk-150 flat bed Knitting machine which is all plastic except for the needles and is very lightweight. I hope to take it when we camp this year. We are still working full-time.
We’ve been traveling full time now for almost 4 years. The first 2 1/2 years I was still working full time also. The garage worked so well as an office/sewing space combo since I could close the door to the living space and have privacy for work meetings, etc. I’m so happy with the space as a full sewing space now that I’m retired. I do a lot of hand work either sewing, embroidery or crocheting when we are moving a lot, but it’s nice to have access to all my stuff in that room anytime I need it. Happy stitching and enjoy your travels!
I am jealous! I live full time in a "new to us" Grand Design 5th wheel. Someone before us took out the bunk beds and made it into an office. I plan to use the space for my sewing room. I have a few questions for you. Are your items bolted down for travel days so they don't shift? How do you store those items on travel days?
Most of my tools go into the ottoman and the wall cabinet. The wall cabinet is screwed to the wall. Otherwise, I just use ratchet straps to secure the rest on travel days. I have to make room for things like ladders and the grill on travel day also. My sewing machines go into their cases and are stored in the bedroom for travel. It took me a while to get arranged but now I can set up or pack up in a couple hours. Happy trails.
Wow!!! You have a really nice sewing space!!! Large with plenty of room for large projects! Incredible natural light source!
I love camping and sewing
You‘ve done an amazing job at creating a lovely space for you to sew/create in. Than you for the video. I enjoyed it!
Wow…you are so lucky. Sewing room away from home..looks wonderful.
Wonderful I love it
Wow! Love the sewing space. I have seen those kind of trailers. Never thought of being able to use them in this way.
