I’m not gonna lie I’ve all the videos I have looked up about changing the radiator in my 2001 Dodge ram is the most educational one I’ve ever watched how he explained. The transmission line was perfect all the other videos which you say snap it off they didn’t say nothing about special tools or what kind of tools you need. This guy did a hell of a job on this video.
You Sir are a blessing to me. I have the same truck and the radiator lower driver side corner just cracked and I have been debating whether I do it myself or pay an enormous (for me) fee to have it done. You just saved me! Thank you for such a well done video and tutorial. I can tell that you put a lot of your own experiences with RUclips videos to show this operation in the best way possible. From another guy who likes to use his thumbs, my sincere thank you!!!!!
Having been a professional mechanic in my past for over 20 years, I congratulate you on not just being an articulate teacher but more so an excellent videographer. Thank you for this video. Doing R & R on my radiator now. You da man Jay.
THANK YOU FOR A GREAT, WELL DONE VIDEO. I will be replacing my radiator in my 98 ram, this weekend. My leak is in the EXACT same place as yours....but, 387,000 miles, I guess I got my moneys worth out of it
Awesome step by step! If all automotive DYI videos were like this, a lot of garages would be out of business... ...and we would all have more money in our pockets. Thanks Jay!
Great video. As commented by another, very good camera work, and no self gratification. Step by step, and hits every point. Thank you. One of the best i've seen for a do it yourselfer.
Awesome! This is just what I was looking for! Purchased a new radiator and was thinking it had some type of removal tool to use. With 259,000 miles on my Dakota, I wouldn't attempt trying to use the old lines again.👍
Thank you, lucky me working on my dad's standard there were no transmission cooling lines. Watched this once and got it knocked out in a couple hours of noticing the leak. Hoses probably still had some life in them but replaced them anyway as well. You helped that go easy, thank you again!
Thank you! Your video is absolutely 💯, so thorough, all the explanations a guy needs. I now feel confident to tackle this job. My radiator went in exactly the same place you showed, it was 24 years old.
Sure wished this was up last month replaced mine on a 2000 Ram 1500 same set up. That transmission lower fitting was a bear. Turned out the nipple on the radiator was about 8 mills larger in diameter. The ring on the nipple was over 10 mills larger in diameter and the ring 10 mills fatter the quick coupling would not full engage.
This was a great video, thanks for making this video to help others, i simply want to add that you have to use a radiator funnel to fill your radiator, to make sure you burp the air out of the system, or at least in my case, i had to, because my truck was overheating after replacing the radiator.
Question if you don't mind: if a radiator is not leaking could it be clogged for none operating the truck for 10 years. Because i have flushed the fluids and put new antifreeze and a new thermostat and engine is still overheating. The water pump is not leaking. Could the radiator be clogged up?
I did the graphics for this and I have additional graphics / animation, plus 3D Printed Cutaway in this video that explains it better: ruclips.net/video/OHtYi7y7dwc/видео.html
What is the thing in between the radiator and the AC condenser called? I hit a deer and it completely destroyed both my radiator AC condenser and whatever that one thing is called
I cannot for the life of me take the lower transmission coolant line off even with that blue tool, it worked for the old radiator but for the new one I can’t take it off
I have a 2 Part Video of Timing Cover and Water Pump Replacement; Disassembly & Assembly: PART 1 ruclips.net/video/M7q4memE09A/видео.html PART 2 ruclips.net/video/rsgOk-eYYPI/видео.html

It could be possible that the radiator is plugged. Also make sure the fan is working.
Awesome video. Great tutorial helped me tremendously. Did the job in no time thanks to your video

Jay Gould, just wondering what replacement brand of radiator you purchased?
I don't remember what brand it was but I think I ordered it from Rock Auto
Fantastic detail! Well done!
Wow. This is a good video. Did you do the graphics?
I did the graphics for this and I have additional graphics / animation, plus 3D Printed Cutaway in this video that explains it better: ruclips.net/video/OHtYi7y7dwc/видео.html
