Welcome to the wonderful world of Bloodywood. This is about as heavy as they get, but much of their music has a message, whether it be political, spiritual, or uplifting. The core of the group are the guitarist, Karan, the rapper, Raoul. and the harsh vocalist/Hindi rapper. Jayant. The blue faced dancer represents Kali, the goddess of death and empowerment, and is often associated with justice. For a completely different side to these guys, check out "Aaj". It's a very uplifting message, and a beautiful song. while still having some heft. The woman you heard singing here, Archy J, is also in that video, and you will actually see her singing. She also has a RUclips under the name The Snakecharmer, singing and playing bagpipes. In person the men in Bloodywood are soft spoken, kind hearted, and quick to laugh. Hearts of gold. I had the pleasure of seeing them in Dallas, and it was magnificent, with a bunch of Americans singing along in Hindi and Punjabi.

Fellow female metalhead here! Welcome to Bloodywood! 🤘
You're absolutely right - they are taking up for the women in this song. Rape is a huge problem in India, but let's face it - you and I both know that rape is a problem wherever women exist. I appreciate these guys for their call to action.
Definitely check out more from these guys... you'll be glad you did! I'll link to a couple more of their songs...

Bloodywood has been one of my big obsessions in the last 18 months. Everything the do just hits me hard. This and "Jee Veeray" are probably my favs.
They have an awesome documentary on YT called Raj Against The Machine, all about how they started. In 2 years they went from a couple of guys doing parody cover songs to a European tour that included Wacken Festival, and all independently: no label, no record deal

Yeah, this song hits hard. No punches pulled in their lyrics either.

I FULLY support and encourage the message of this song as I myself have done what this song espouses. NO REMORSE, NO REGRET, NO MERCY!!!!!!
Side note... The women are doing the Goddess Kali's (represented by the one painted blue) dance of death. Yes, they are invoking Kali. As they should.

Yay! I'm so glad you found Bloodywood! They are legitimately heroes, for example with their tour earnings they have paid for an ambulance to care for animals, and online therapy sessions for their fans. This song is one of their angriest, based on India's ongoing horrific treatment of women and justification of SA by police and politicians.

Girl, new sub here, you jumped into the deep end of the Bloodywood pool. Since you are a pet lover, I saw your kitten, listen to Yaad, bring a box of tissues for that one. For a good kick-you-in-the-butt-and-make-you-smile, AAJ. You have found the following of Bloodywood, we're here for your reactions. Rock on!

A cool bomber rollercoaster song! As I am Dutch, I recommend amazing Dutch gothic metal bands Blackbriar, Delain and their ex-singer Charlotte Wessels, The Gathering (Anneke van Giersbergen) and Within Temptation songs! Also German band 'Snow White Blood' is epic!

Bloodywood doesn't play around and they put their money where their mouth is.
Check out their song "Jee Veerey", it has to do with mental illness and combating it.

Yeah you stumbled across a heavy one here and the heaviest part is the subject matter. It's really not nice stuff, will ruin your day and is not safe for work or children etc. but if you don't know, it's worth looking up Delhi rape gangs to get a better understanding of what the song is about or rather against.
On a more artistic note, I believe, although I'm no expert on the subject and I'm happy to be educated, that the dancing is referencing the Goddess Kali.

If you like the "tribal drums" in this one, I can recommend Sepultura/Soulfly from Brazil. And of course Bloodywood.

I'm by no means a Violent man, and do not believe in "street justice", but being the hypocrite that I am, if anyone did something like that to my Sister, I would be in Jail. And I would do my time with pride.
