    I think I understand now. Thank you. To say " I would like some water", I would say "je voudrais de l'eau" but if I would like a glass of water I would say "je voudrais un verre d'eau" because un verre is a quantity. Is that correct? I have been struggling with this, but i think you have clarified it. Thank you!!!

    Hi Dylane, word has it that we can also use "du, de la" in the abstract nouns, such as "concept, power, emotion, marriage". Namely, it means "the concept, marriage". Is this statement true?

    Bonjour Prof.Dylane,
    Votre grammaire est spectaculaire et très claire. Je vous remerci pour votre gentillesse. A

    les articles partitif are the same as les article contractés do you know a trick to not get confused? might it be using an answer of a complement of specification?

    the confusing part to me is... in your examples section, why the des + de la are not translated to add "some" in the english sentences? example - she drinks some lemonade every day?

    • @TheperfectfrenchwithDylane
      @TheperfectfrenchwithDylane  2 месяца назад

      Because in French we use articles 99.9% of the time while English doesn't use them as much :)

  • @patriciovalenzuela6119
    @patriciovalenzuela6119 7 месяцев назад

    I think the translation should not be "some" because "some" is already a quantity, an amount. I believe the translation 2:59 should be: I eat bread and chese. Otherwise when using Des the translation would have to be: he has some dogs and some cats.
    Ex. Je bois du vin. I drink wine. Je mange du pain. I eat bread.
    Excuse me if i am wrong. This is only an observation.
