- Back at night on the Dutch fruit and veg work. Really starting to get to know these places and liking this work now. Keep you somewhat active with pump trucks with a good mix of bay deliveries too. Some would say it can get scary at night in some places though.

Some what late in life,I have come to realise that it is much easier to watch other truck drivers driving, then actually having to drive myself!!
Not a problem for me now.
I still have all my (unwind) trucking stories to tell, but I think I have already lost my audience...long time ago.
I think people would still be interested. You could always start making some videos of an ex trucker telling his stories. I think the trucking community would tune in!

Morning Scotty. I was a professional driver for nearly 40 years and I've done pretty much all of it, here and over the water. Then I finally hung up my spurs, got a factory job and rediscovered what life is really about. All your videos do for me is to confirm that any service industry job is basically crap and that H.G.V. drivers in particular are used and abused all day (and all night) long. You should give it a try on the continent - at least you might actually get to do some proper driving, instead of just getting inadequate pay for hanging around, opening and closing trailer doors.
How you can say you're 'liking this work now' is a mystery to me, because you don't look like you're enjoying it and it certainly doesn't look enjoyable. You're a great guy Scotty and you deserve better so why don't you get out of there? Seeing you getting put through the grinder is not pleasant and I'm left with one overarching question: why do you do it to yourself?
My dad used to go to the Parkway Market a lot, most of it is gone now covered by Costco, i skimmed round the edge on my C+E a few weeks ago, its not far from Sheff test centre, finaly passed, good to see you back OOP North again.
Hi Scott. Nice to see you again. Talking about scary places, I find visiting the docks, namely, Dover docks going on holiday. Don't mind it in the least in daylight hours, not so much in the dark. No matter how many vehicles or people, do not like Dover docks at night time. Just listening to the slight clanking of bells on the top of yacht masts or whatever is clanking, just hate the place

Great vlog mate, I enjoy the unload features. One point I wish to raise, not with you but YT. When I press the like button it used to 'splash'. Now the figure raises by 1 . Mega pop truckers like yourself the figures are just churning at a fast rate, so I am uncertain by this new method if my 'like' is recorded?
The DFC place,I wonder if it had A bar and did they serve plane chips????

It always amazes me how long RDCs take to process inward paperwork as I worked on a supermarket back door overnight and the RDC would always question how long we took to process a vehicle which could be turned around in under a hour as well detail checks on separate bread deliveries overnight.

I used to do loads of whole sale markets across the UK back in the 80's. By the looks of your videos not much has changed. Manchester and Liverpool were always the ones to avoid..Used to end up most nights at a packing house at Bidford on Avon. or Bristol whole sale market...

For ever 1 44Ton truck off the road there could be up to 25 extra vans on the road to replace it. Think of the traffic
