In MN, we're in zone 3 and some zone 2, depending on the plants. I've lost so many plants over the Winters. I thought the Ever Summer hydrangeas would Winter, but not!! Rhubarb is strong plus lilies, asparagus, strawberries too. Nobody's gardening up here yet. We still have weeks to wait. I love the fake plants and flowers that look so real. Your front porch is so pretty!!

Hey! I was so excited to see your post pop up! I do love flowers & gardening, I've always had a flower filled porch and lots of flowers in the yard. We're looking to move, hopefully soon, so i don't know how much porch space I'll have and so I'm waiting right now. Of course all the perinials are blooming but i won't plant anything else sense we're moving. Your flower bed looks beautiful.. love the white ones you've added. The wreath is stunning!! And the Hydrangea pots are gorgeous also!❤ The porch is just dreamy, so so beautiful Sarah. I agree, i like the urns how you've done them. Last years porch was beautiful also.I love roses, my favorite flower is a yellow rose. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful porch & flower bed!😊

Here in WI, our zone is 4B, so we are behind you. I know last yr. we waited to plant till the 1st wk. of May and we got a freeze warning. My husband and I madly ran around to all the new plants and covered them all w/whatever we could find. Our front porch is wooden, also, so has to be done every few yrs. Our porch railing has spindles and it was my idea to paint them all red, white & blue, looks great against our white farmhouse on our 80 acres. Well they have to be painted this yr. ,UGH, We have to scrape off all the old paint. It's a labor of love and I've never seen anyone else do it. I put 2 large buntings I display on the porch railing, looks so nice. Last Aug. I got a vintage ice cream table w/4 matching chairs. I scored for $100. So now I got cute placemats and plates to use, so can't wait. I also got a new Pioneer Woman outdoor rug. So bright & pretty, but, have to wait till we finish painting the porch. Have fun!

Hi Estelle, I’ve been there with scrambling to cover things late in the season! It’s so hard to wait though! Your porch sounds so pretty and cheerful! Knock-Out roses are the best to get. They don't get diseases and are easy to go. I don't have much luck with different kinds. They get rust spots or black spots.

Elizabeth…I have been trying to figure out why I’ve been inside your beautiful home and tonight as I sit here watching your latest visit with us it finally came to me-I think, that your home was once owned by the Foster family if I’m not mistaken. They had 2 children, a boy and a girl and I also think the father passed away at a young age. Does any of this sound at all familiar to you? I would have known this family through St Michaels church in Remus. I have been watching you for a good long while but I could not figure out why your home is so familiar to me but I might not be right even now and if not I will go on trying to figure this out every time you have a video. Sometimes as we age we just can’t put things together from our past BUT one thing I know for certain is I have been in your home. Anyway…no matter you do have a beautiful home and I love watching as you thrift and share all you are doing with your thrifting treasures. I do hope I’m not making you uncomfortable, that is not my intent. I’m just trying to connect the reason for all the familiarity I have to your home!!!:):):)
