Tell your husband that if a hurricane comes you not only have to remove the lamp but most of that decor as well, so it can stay till then! The only thing I would do is you need to take your ferns out and put something down in the pots to raise them up as they are too low. Great job and your porch is gorgeous! 💯❤️

I really love the way you decorated your front porch. I love the blue you added. We spend a lot of of time on our porch, here in Louisana it gets really hot in the summer, so having light colors and fans makes it bearable. Happy porch sitting!!
Remove dead flowers from petunias to keep them growing -- it's a must. Yes, blue and white is always in style!! Like the lamp and you can get ones specifically for covered outdoor use -- but the scale seems off with the floral. Maybe just try the cherry stems for height to complement the short lamp. Felt the same about the pot on the column. Maybe pot on the floor or a short riser and the column at the far end behind and along side the rocker with another fern. Love your happy attitude.

And you are beautiful, wow. So, ...I recommend Krud Kutter for your Outdoor Furniture... its non toxic, and does a great job. I've used this product for decades. ...and yes, I think you should paint your Rocking chairs, in a satin finish white , to co- ordinate with the Resin chairs. ( I am a former Professional Painter) and a good cleaning, and then paint will do a lot to refresh your Rocking chairs. I do not do " real plants, " lol. I have only a few that I know I cant " kill off " , lol...so I opt for lifelike faux ones. I can clean those as required. ..so I love the Flowers, looks so pretty ! Your Porch is Beautiful... I love how resourceful you are, with the pillowcase, that is something I'd do ,in the meantime ...and its washable! And you can change it whenever needed. 👌🏻 I am the same ,with these " trends " ....not just the Blue and white as you mentioned but A LOT OF things I've had,used for y e a r s. Lol. ( and I'm older 60 + years young, lol). I agree with the Mosquito products, I am allergic to those ! Lol. I use Lamps everywhere... the kitchen, bathroom. The begonia is beautiful but looks dangerously top heavy around the littles & the dog. Maybe a smaller flowering plant in a lightweight faux clay pot & and the begonia down beside the column. Absolutely love the pillow cover idea, and the blue & white are my favorite!❤

I recently went on a tour in Salem and the tour guide told us that chinoiserie goes back all the way to when the settlers settled in New England, they used to trade goods with China for chinoiserie pieces so technically, it is a Chinese pattern. This brings back sweet memories of when my 3 were little. I totally get it. Whew! It goes fast! I'm 61 now and being an empty nester was an adjustment! Luckily I'm busy with my career as a hairdresser. I miss these days though! :)
Put a low wattage bulb in the lamp, and I bet your husband will love it. The lamp is out of the ordinary and there is nothing better. Just sight back in the glow and take the compliments1
Love the blue pillow covers. I think everything looks beautiful. Yes on the lamp it makes it look so cozy. Just bring it in when a hurricane is coming. I live in Florida and I just keep a wicker basket in the living area with some blankets in it, then I can just grab it and stick everything from out side in it doring bad weather. As someone whom has very bad allergies I say ask your pediatrician about allergy shots for your son. They make such a big difference. As you can be taught how to give the shot to him at home it's very simple to do. You practice on a orange. I agree the pollen is crazy right now. Also on the allergy subject my trick is to change my pillow case every day as pollen lays in your hair this makes a difference really. I do showers every night before bed but I don't wash my hair everyday. Sometimes if I am having a itchy eyes and skin I just end up washing my hair and it makes sure a big difference how I feel. Also change your filter more often and if you could get a air purifier for his bedroom and one for your mane living area they make allergy a lot better. Yes I have suffered for many years and still now as a adult these things help. They changed my life really. Sorry for me responding with this information but It's very important to me unless you have allergies you can't understand this feeling. It's like having the flu you just feel that bad.
Love what you've done today. You could always spray paint those resin wicker pieces. I think a coastal blue and white scheme would be beautiful. Also, if you do not want to paint, You could always use industrial strength outdoor bleach and a sprayer to clean the stains off of those resin wicker pieces

Love the blue pillow covers. I think everything looks beautiful. Yes on the lamp it makes it look so cozy. Just bring it in when a hurricane is coming. I live in Florida and I just keep a wicker basket in the living area with some blankets in it, then I can just grab it and stick everything from out side in it doring bad weather. As someone whom has very bad allergies I say ask your pediatrician about allergy shots for your son. They make such a big difference. As you can be taught how to give the shot to him at home it's very simple to do. You practice on a orange. I agree the pollen is crazy right now. Also on the allergy subject my trick is to change my pillow case every day as pollen lays in your hair this makes a difference really. I do showers every night before bed but I don't wash my hair everyday. Sometimes if I am having a itchy eyes and skin I just end up washing my hair and it makes sure a big difference how I feel. Also change your filter more often and if you could get a air purifier for his bedroom and one for your mane living area they make allergy a lot better. Yes I have suffered for many years and still now as a adult these things help. They changed my life really. Sorry for me responding with this information but It's very important to me unless you have allergies you can't understand this feeling. It's like having the flu you just feel that bad.

Love what you've done today. You could always spray paint those resin wicker pieces. I think a coastal blue and white scheme would be beautiful. Also, if you do not want to paint, You could always use industrial strength outdoor bleach and a sprayer to clean the stains off of those resin wicker pieces

Hey! Jill here! Your porch looks lovely. Those 3 littles are just adorable. I just wanted to offer a suggestion about your hanging baskets. Grab a S hook at the hardware store and some chain. That will let them hang lower. More pleasing to the eye and easier to water. Many blessings!!!

So beautiful! I have outdoor string lights plugged in all year round on a timer. I’m not sure why your husband doesn’t like the lamp. People have all kinds of things plugged in but maybe I’m living dangerously 😂

Fertilizer your petunias every 7-10 days with liquid MIRACLE GROW. They will thrive and stay lush and beautiful. Also watering is a MUST every 3-4 days.
