- It’s time to plant flowers and spruce up the front porch for Spring. Come along with me as we plant, decorate and transform an antique wooden piece into a planter for flowers.

The porch is so pretty, and I love the boxwood surrounding it! How precious are those baby robins. I bet their parents came to feed them as soon as you went inside. We have had lots of robin's nests, and watched both parents working to feed them almost non-stop! 🐦💙🥀🥀🐦

I just love how you decorated your porch! If I could afford to do one thing to my house it would be to add a covered porch so I could decorate like that. Everything I put out just gets drenched when it rains.

Planters look great! ❤I can't plant swt potato vine anymore because it attracts beetles and they chew the heck out if it and all else around it. I had a robin family twice on my porch. Both times I came out the door just in time to see the last of the flock fly off the nest! Sweet experience.
So far, I haven’t had beetles and I sure hope I don’t get them!!😲

Bridgett said I love your front porch. We too are fortunate to have a big one too. I’m like you. Geraniums and ferns are my go to. I look at the pretty colors every year and always get the red ones. They are so bight and cheerful. We also had a bird family to take up residence on our back covered patio. Cute as could be but they made a mess on my cushions. Was glad to see them go.

Love the trencher!!!! Everything is fresh and beautiful. I have my own baby Robin's story...very similar. I now try to dissuade them from building their nest on the porch. Some folks place rubber snakes above doors to keep them away. I haven't done that. Knowing me I would forget and give myself a heartattack. 😅

Love everything and everything is Gorgeous! Live your dough bowl it is beautiful! That bowl would look good in a large bathroom full of towels too! I had mama birds that would build nests in my ferns also and they would have them built before I knew it and one day I was watering them and I watered the babies right out of their nest before I knew it! They were pretty big and they ran off before I could do anything, I felt so bad! So now I watch and when they start a nest I remove it before it gets built to far along and they don’t do it anymore! I don’t want to wash anymore out of their nests again! lol love your decorating!

What a cute video, l had a robin make a nest on the wreath on my front door a few years ago and we had to use the side door for a long time because the mama would dive bomb us.
Just beautiful! I love to plant in galvanized wash tubs and buckets too. The vintage plants, especially the reds and purples look so pretty in them. Best wishes to those little precious robins!
