Finally a honest review on the 4070. I bought this card with 4K gaming in mind and I've been more than pleased with the performance vs the cost. I've been saying since this card game out, "the power of a 3080, half the price." Most games I get around 60 fps, and in some even more. Contrary to popular belief, most gamers don't care about uber 100+ fps. Most of us are perfectly happy around 60 to 80, sometimes even less. Mainly, as long as the game is playable works for us. Are there better cards out there? Yes, there is. But for people that want to enjoy a good game experience at a reasonable price, the 4070 is hard to beat. Oh and to date, I've recommended the 4070 to many gamers. Of all the people that have bought the 4070, only one wasn't not pleased with his purchase. He returned it and bought a 4070ti.
I sold by 4090 build and built a 4070 build instead, safe to say lowering the graphics a little in 4k it will be more than fine and my room will get a whole lot less hot

Thank you Kryzzp! Just the video I was waiting for. RTX4070 at 4K is what I need more benchmarks with. I personally normally play on PS5 with my 4K monitor but on the side I play some titles on PC. This will do fine with DLSS at 4K for two-three years. I had RTX3070 earlier but 8GB of VRAM becomes a problem in Forza Horizon 5 (ultra textures). I wish that RTX4070 had a bit more VRAM but what can you do. I thought about getting RX7900XT but it was too expensive and it lacks the best features that this card has. I personally need good ray tracing performance and DLSS 2 and especially DLSS 3 for some games I play. Edit: you included Apex Legends at 4K. Thanks!!!! My main game.

When I had my new GTX1070, it seems like 4k was kind of the discussion for what the next couple GPUs were going to be able to handle. I would have been really surprised back then if I was to discover that the modern middle ranged cards, 3 generation down the road, were not handling 4k well. Of course now we have other features such as ray-tracing to give the GPUs an uphill battle in trying to maintain good FPS. LOL
4070 is just not a good gpu for 4k.. 7900XT handles 4k just fine. I'm playing Elden Ring with 60fps locked for 99% of the time and Hitman runs at 4k 100fps+ with basic RT on. If you want a legit 4k card and want nVidia, look for 4070TI or 4080.
@@gameurai5701 it can definitely handle 4k as long as you curb your expectations and lower some settings here and there, but yeah, with everything cranked up, people are better off looking at the 4080 for the extra vram as well
Tempted to getting this GPU. The power draw and 8 pin connector make me happy. I prefer smaller GPUs over BEAST. One that thing bugs me though is the 12GB of VRAM. Feels to me it should be more but honestly most Nvidia cards these days feel like that. Maybe with enough Pressure a 16GB version might come out or something in the future. I have a feeling this should be a 4060 not a 4070 for how it currently is. But they set the bar so low with the 4080 12GB which became the 4070TI. Really sucks that Nvidia seems to care so little about giving users enough VRAM overhead.
@@ltg8382 Seems everyone is currently. However this GPU does provide most of everything I want out of a GPU. Issue is I refuse to pay the price they're charging for it definitely for what you're actually getting out of it. I like smaller low power draw GPUs that provide good performance for what they are. 4070 is exactly that. Again though it's over priced. It's relying on DLSS and AI Frame Generation to get the performance is gets. It isn't a 4070 as i said, it should be a 4060 maybe even a 4050 and it's price should reflect that. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person that views the 4070 like that. It's a good GPU for what it is, just over priced.
FINALLY!, thank you so much. i dont care about hate nvidia gets about this card, this is amazing card, most efficient we seen in last few generations, didnt got over 200 w on any game even at 4k, it also achives 60++ fps even at 4k on vast majority games, with exceptions of bugland last of us/hogwarts and cyberpunk that is achieved with dlss that at this point look identical to native. yes price should be lower but compared to covid/crypto era of 3000 series gpus this is breath of fresh air, this will be my pick upgrading from gtx 1660 ti , ryzen 5 3600 can manage 4k 60fps pretty well, and even my 550w psu will be more than enough for this power efficient gpu, also love that is smaller than other gpus of this gen, no issues for size too, just need to find one for mspr in next few months and this is the way to go this year, especially knowing that 4060 and 4060 ti will have 8gb vram, so 4070 is no brainer imo and even in 2 4 years if some super games comes up, frame gen will save this gpu even on 4k, while you always can play on 1440p on ultra on this gpu for years, and 1440p with 12gb vram is safe bet.
Stop lying to yslf. This card will be good for years in 1440p ultra. Bs. Vram usage will be a huge problem very soon and frame generation is only used in couple of games. We already gave some titles that struggling to keep 60fps in 1440p And that's an opinion from 4070 Ti user, card which is 20 to 25% faster.
@@hokopl what??? :DDD frame gen is in all new games and will be in all new games in future, only few old games left out. vram usage is perfect on 1440p, what game uses more than 10 gb vram on 1440p (last of us and hogwarts has worst optimizations and are joke in entire gaming community meme now), also what game cant it run on 1440p 60 fps??? examples plz !!! or you havent watched video?? none. only on 4k some broken ass games like last of us uses more and its not normal. these are also most demanding games out of thousands and thousands of games on market that will be smoove as silk on 4070 even on 4k. you are moron and angry cause 4070 is bargain compared to 4070ti. gtfo

@@DeepfriedBeans4492 in my country the launch price for most 4070 models is identical to 3070.
Also in the US they give out $100 steam balance so over all it’s fine considering inflation
@@HeLithium I was gonna say yeah since the 30 series started the performance for the 3080 isn't enough of a big difference
@@gameurai5701 it can definitely handle 4k as long as you curb your expectations and lower some settings here and there, but yeah, with everything cranked up, people are better off looking at the 4080 for the extra vram as well
That damn ghost boi moving every now and then is freakin' me out! 😰
whats the software u use to show fps and temps for cpu and gpu?? thank u!!!
Question: Do I need 32Gb of RAM to play 4K ULTRA??? I ask bc I have 16Gb DDR5
I would skip this card if i was you
@@ltg8382 Seems everyone is currently.
Dude can you test the 4070 with Ark Survival Evolved?
Yes :)
Oh man you are the best❤️
could I use the 4070 with Ryzen 5 3600 or do I need to upgrade the CPU?
Now i just want to see your dog at 4k🔥🔥
FINALLY!, thank you so much. i dont care about hate nvidia gets about this card, this is amazing card, most efficient we seen in last few generations, didnt got over 200 w on any game even at 4k, it also achives 60++ fps even at 4k on vast majority games, with exceptions of bugland last of us/hogwarts and cyberpunk that is achieved with dlss that at this point look identical to native. yes price should be lower but compared to covid/crypto era of 3000 series gpus this is breath of fresh air, this will be my pick upgrading from gtx 1660 ti , ryzen 5 3600 can manage 4k 60fps pretty well, and even my 550w psu will be more than enough for this power efficient gpu, also love that is smaller than other gpus of this gen, no issues for size too, just need to find one for mspr in next few months and this is the way to go this year, especially knowing that 4060 and 4060 ti will have 8gb vram, so 4070 is no brainer imo
and even in 2 4 years if some super games comes up, frame gen will save this gpu even on 4k, while you always can play on 1440p on ultra on this gpu for years, and 1440p with 12gb vram is safe bet.
Stop lying to yslf.
This card will be good for years in 1440p ultra. Bs.
Vram usage will be a huge problem very soon and frame generation is only used in couple of games.
We already gave some titles that struggling to keep 60fps in 1440p
And that's an opinion from 4070 Ti user, card which is 20 to 25% faster.
@@hokopl what??? :DDD frame gen is in all new games and will be in all new games in future, only few old games left out. vram usage is perfect on 1440p, what game uses more than 10 gb vram on 1440p (last of us and hogwarts has worst optimizations and are joke in entire gaming community meme now), also what game cant it run on 1440p 60 fps??? examples plz !!! or you havent watched video?? none. only on 4k some broken ass games like last of us uses more and its not normal. these are also most demanding games out of thousands and thousands of games on market that will be smoove as silk on 4070 even on 4k.
you are moron and angry cause 4070 is bargain compared to 4070ti. gtfo
@@hokopl lol? stop lying to yourself as well in this case. Sell it and buy 4080.
@@Leo-zy4fy lol You.
Whats the point of spending extra cash for 25% performance uplift and extra vram ??
No, thanks. That's not an upgrade.
I will wait 1,5 year, and then I will upgrade to 5080 or good used 4090.

They have nowhere to go with the performance of the cards at the moment. So what we're going to see is a lot of AI , like DLSS 4 etc. 12K is definitely not going to happen
Will this gpu future proof like upcoming AAA title games???
Man, i am still not suicidal only because of your videos
Zwormz Can u test gtx660 Again?
I am dissapointed with the perfomance increase of the RTX 4070, i will wait for the upcoming AMD gpus.
Thanks for the video! You recommend the Ti version instead of this one for 4k60 gaming?
I think the 12GB will become a limiting factor in the near future, so I'd try going with a 7900XT instead
