As a Rtx 4080 owner, I appreciate the work this guy does. A lot of these other "Benchmarking" RUclips channels give madeup results where they just overlay some graphs on a gameplay screen.

The non reference models in Australia are on average $2500, I remember paying $1100 for the MSI 1080ti when it came out. Gpu pricing after the whole crypto/covid/chip shortage nonsense has been ridiculous, and I dont think things will ever go back to normal because the cards still sell regardless of the crazy prices. It's a shame

The RTX 4080 is a decent card but the pricing is just not fair , 900$ would've also been acceptable.Its quite a bit slower than the 4090 but costs 1200$ MSRP still ,overall 20-30% faster than the 3090

950$ would be a fair pricing for this card and similar $1400 for the 4090 .
raster performance doesn't look too different from a 3090/3090ti

The linear and single player titles that other RUclipsrs cover are better to show comparisons with other cards as it's easier to recreate the benchmark runs.

Well it's because competitive games run on almost any modern gpu at above 100fps. Thus, it makes more sense to run games where the gpu can actually struggle :)

Hey man, been subbed n following u for more than a whole yr, it's good to see someone testing GPUs for helping out gamers :))
Also, how do u manage to get so much fps, from usually some selective games outta some of the lower end cards that don't match the other hardware? When I try testing them, I get huge bottlenecks, and it heavily limits my fps, always.... I had to get a future proof and one of the highest end hardware, with all the components matching each others' lvls for the best graphics and better fps results lol

The price let's this card down a lot. 1.5x performance of RTX 3080 for almost 2x the price here in UK and EU. That's terrible generational release.
Don't forget: 1080 MSRP was $599. 2080 MSRP was $699. 3080 MSRP was $699. Even counting for inflation, charging $1200 is ridiculous for an xx80 class card that's so far behind the $1600 4090

I think the bigger airliners and places like London are the most intensive in msfs 2022, maybe try using those for your next benchmark if they are more intensive

Look at the VRAM usage. I am so happy I returned a 3060ti I recently bought. I am pushing ultra 1440p and that consumes a lot of vram depending on the game!

Unfortunately as far as the performance of the card is concerned, it is very disappointing for the steep price. $800-900 would have been a bit more palatable. Gonna keep my 3070.

17:04 I was watching at 4k and after a few seconds of playing smoothly it started buffering. By the way it wasn't buffering at all untill this point. The RUclips compression didn't destroy the image much, because the leaves are still looking good.

I have to ask, which software do you use to show those stats overlay. That shows all the required details perfectly.
MSI Afterburner and I forget what the addon program is that goes with it.
The RT implementation in FH5 is not the same as other games as it only applies ray tracing for your own vehicle, so your own vehicle parts get reflected properly but trees, bushes, sky etc. don’t get the RT treatment

The 4080 probably is too expensive, considering AMD's $1K GPU will probably be quite a bit faster (though that's AMD's own benchmarks still), though it would be still better than the 7900XTX on RTX that some games have. Either way, I am glad Kryzzp is enjoying some quality time on this GPU🙂.
Honestly as someone who only uses Nvidia and has a 3080 currently. I would get the 7900XTX over the 4080. But if I was willing to spend more I would definitely prefer 4090.

Are you using HWiNFO of the CPU temp? I had a i7 6700k before I upgraded to a 5600X and with the i7 I was able to read CPU temp from Afterburner itself but with my 5600X I need to use HWiNFO to get the CPU temp information.
And also... what CPU temp value are you using? I noticed that the CPU temp provided by my motherboard is 10-15 degrees lower than the CPU CCD2 and CPU Package temps.
Almost like Nvidia just threw all their eggs into the 4090 basket and then forgot about proper price scaling for lower tiers. I bet when they "relaunch" the 4070 based model it will be $899 MSRP or higher. This is insanity.
A 70 sku at 900$? That's complete insanity! Hope AMD can save us and make these prices drop!

I can't find the founders edition of this anywhere but other kinds of the 4080 have been priced pretty cheap in comparison to other cards... I've seen them worth less than 3080's and 3090's. And I guess 1200 dollars is a lot but I plan to do a monthly payment method

FYI BestBuy price matches Amazon prices I got an Asus 4080 Tuf for $1000 from this. The 4080 runs circles around the 3080 I replaced with it due to only 10GB Vram being limiting.
I also want to add, as far as a price drop, it’s hard to tell. Last time something like this happened was when they birthed the 1080 ti I believe. So I think if AMD performs as expected, Nvidia will indeed lower their prices, not without backlash from people who have already bought a 4000 series gpu.

hello zWORMz, i have the same configuration with you, 5800x3d and the rtx 4080 from msi. in the benchmark of this game on native 3840x2160 i get average 80 fps and lower is 40 fps max settings. I have somewhere problem on pc ? is it normal to get this fps ? on the modern warfare 2 I mean.
