- In this video I'll be showing you how to make custom tactical vests for LEGO minifigures! They looks so realistic, and the great thing about it is you don't have to be a customizing wiz to make them, in fact, the only materials you need are cardboard and electrical tape!
Wow, I never knew you can make those vest using cardboard and electrical tape
This was a super easy tutorial for a final product that looks absolutely stellar. Thanks a bunch, and definitely going to be trying this out on figs!
Thanks man! Glad you were able to make it.
I stopped collecting/buying Lego around a little under year ago, but this was recently recommended to me, and it brought back a lot of the nostalgia, I made these back when your video first came out and loved them. Great video and I appreciate how much your tutorials helped.
You could make some really cool futuristic military minifigures with this
You helped me a lot, thank you very much! I used to make paper body armor simple, rectangular, taped together. But I did not know that it could be done in a simpler and more beautiful way. Now I equip most of my soldiers in such vests).
thanks man I've been looking for some projects to do in this time and it's a nice addition for my Lego military collection and it should be super easy to add patches and magazine holders or pouches for short.
So so so good I can't say how good this is.
DUDE THATS AWESOME!!!
Man this is great stuff!

It was quite hard as me being young, but I made a sort of custom vest stopping at the connection of the E tape although looks great!!

This is one of my favorite videos it's so easy it looks so good and by the way that's not ak47 that's a ak74u
Super cool
Thank you master Yoda! ;-)
you could get the base of the best, draw it onto paper. draw a camo pattern then stick it on. then you put the electrical tape
That's a good idea I'll try it for sure!
This dude is underrated
These look great
Thanks man!
@@GuySmiley no problem man

thanks bro, now my legos look much better
Lovely..will do it asap...a quick question, how do you made tactical sling?
Ay love it my grandfather have electrical tape
Great tutorial!!! Just a quick question how would you go about adding pouches ect. Thanks
Pouches are a bit more difficult, you could probably fashion some up from cardboard somehow or sculpting with sculpey or procreate.
I will try this i have lack of lego vests
thx
Time to mass produce this vest for my troops
Epic!
I cannot wait to make my own scp figures
Eyooo smiley
I made this and it’s super easy it looks way better than the brickarms one but it’s fragile
Bro thank you so so so much more you will get 1million sub inshallah
Thanks man!
@@GuySmiley your welcome.
i love your videos. make more non-purist videos please
Bro these thing look better than the real thing
Thanks man!
really great although brickarms vests are very detailed
This is better than brickarms and affordable since brickarms is expensive
Hehe yeah this is pretty much free to make if you have the time.
@@GuySmiley no way u replied sup man btw it is free to make since i had alotta free time i made all my swat figures vest
can i use a permanent marker instead of a sharpie? because it's hard to get in Poland
Yeah dude you can use a permanent marker instead of a sharpie
@@shadycombatggs1213 thanks
Yep as ShadyCombat said, any marker would work!
i have an idea make Roman reights minifigure with this vest :0
Hehe, I'm not familiar with WWE but just based off a quick google search it looks like it might be perfect for him!
@@GuySmiley yeah thats wy im posted this comment
Is optional to make detils to it?
i dont have materials to make the armor but i did a flak jacket and other things like a weird gasmask and a helmet xd (paper and glue), but when i get the oportunity to make a vest i will :D, btw if i can ima try to make the vest removable (le paper ones i made are)
Anyways good vid :D
(sorry for bad english im spanish and have 13)
Thanks man! If you have pictures be sure to post them on instagram of flickr, I'd love to see it! Super cool to hear that I inspired you. You gave me the idea to try to make them removable myself, I bet it is possible if you size the tape correctly and just stick something else on the sticky side.
@@GuySmiley kk ima try to see if i can post them in flickr
Make more videos like this
It's not easy coming up with this stuff but I'll certainly try! XD
i have an idea can u make a lego military things like rockets, mre or even an ammo?
I can think of one way right off the bat to make MRE's, I'll have to try some stuff out and see if I can make a video on it.
@@GuySmiley im pretty excited! i think you can make mre with some paper bags.
what if you dont have electric tape on hand?
Is there any other type of tape that can be used, because I don't really know what is an electrical tape?
I think electrical tape is really the only option, if you go to home depot or a store like that and ask for it they'll know what you are talking about. Or if you go on amazon and search it any of the ones that show up should work.
Where did you get that face with the sunglasses at the end I can’t find it anywhere is it custom ?
It was from citizen brick, I don’t think they sell it anymore unfortunately
Can you doo how to make helmet
That would be a bit harder to make a helmet from random materials, but I will think about it and see if i can come up with anything!
This went good for my Russian mob!
Hehe, yeah it's perfect for stuff like that!
Wait will it effect the vest if I trace the torso?
nope, that's a good idea!
I made tf2 demoman vest
hey man, when i buy a4 block it have cardboard it can be first layer?
It might work as long as it's not too thick, just looking at some pictures of what you're talking about it might be a bit dense and hard to cut though.
If you're already buying the paper anyways you might as well try it! But if you're buying it just for the cardboard to make these I'd say you're better off going to the post office and getting a cardboard box.
@@GuySmiley It worked! That cardboard is not to thick and not hard to cut,and it's looking awesome! Thx for this tutorial!
Pretty thick my guy
What are those 2 minifigures called on the photo off the video
They are just custom one ones I made with some generic parts!
@@GuySmiley oh ok thanks for reply
Where do you get the ak-47 from?
It's a brickarms overmolded prototype, they sell a production version in all black.
Has the tape peeled off?
No it hasn't! It's pretty strong once you get it together.
there's some guy selling the vest in amazon for 0.20$
More tutorials
Hehe, it's very hard to come up with good ideas for them, especially ones that aren't too hard to do and don't require tons of equipment.
me who has been doing this way before with glue and not tape:
You see that's yousfull
I’m not in my house
Lol its not an ak47 its a ak74u
No it’s a draco
That is f*king illegal
Hehe Yes, it is "custom" after all. :-P
Its permnat i no like it
It’s not.
Horrible design this sucked
Then you try and do better then I would like to see you try
Can you make a tactical belt plsss
That's a good idea, I will work on one!
@@GuySmiley thank you so much!!!!! You are the best!
