The pilot would have left a more palatable impression if the "builder" had 'dialed' into the radio system a bit of exponential to 'soften' some of the control inputs, the pilot was good but rather 'jerky' & 'rough with his "stick" work- hence the advisory about dialing in a bit of exponential (20 to 30% ) to soften some of his 'jerky' flight imputs.( possibly due to using his thumbs on the sticks, instead of two fingers for more precise control imputs) I am a former AMA national officer, RC precision aerobatics competitor & flight judge, in AMA & FAI competition for over 24 years, and have won some but have lost many more than I have won...you may want to take that into account before spewing vitriol & poison toward some of my comment(s).

But "Outstanding" awards to go Pilot, Builder, and YES,YES,YES this plane sound like the real deal and had I just walked into a room and this video was playing I would not have known that it was just a big adult toy! Great Job! Nice usage of 40% flagps on slow flyover passes
Don’t forget the 3:1 reduction gear! That helped immensely with that unique propeller sound. That flight was as realistic to being true as I have ever seen with radio control! 👍🏼
That has got to be the most realistic rc sea furry I have ever seen in my life. The beautiful airplane and radial engine with the geared propeller sounded like the full sized warbird. Your aircraft is by far the most beautiful work of art on the ground and while she's owns the air. Absolutely amazing!
What an outstanding video. My dad was a ww2 pilot (avengers) and a lifelong pilot and modeler. I can feel him smiling from above. Incredible sound from this engine/prop combo.
You are correct when saying that it is the BEST SOUNDING RC PLANE EVER...! I cannot say that I have ever seen such a wonderful flight as well... Prost...!
As someone who has stood in the propwash of a genuine Sea Fury at Alice Springs airport(Australia) on a June long weekend in 1985 with my 2 yr old son on my shoulders (he's now an aircraft engineer for the Flying Doctor service in NSW), I can honestly say that this is the best scale example I have ever seen and heard..Well done!
Hawker tempest was my favourite and very much a similar aircraft to the sea fury. They both were more of a capable combat aircraft compared to thd spitfire.
I agree Horst, the sound, and the look of this scale prop is amazing; the gear reduction really gives this plane a very scale sound; very impressive! Thanks again Horst!! Cheers, Dougal

What a superb model, well flown too! So often RC aircraft look wonderful, but the moment they're started up, the whole effect is lost because of the horrible noise. What you've done is great, superb effort! I like the pilot looking over his shoulder as he taxis in!
Fantastic airplane, engine, prop and sound!! I am 64 years old now and flew radio control back in the day of the little red brick, EK Logictrol, Kraft and Andrews Aeromasters running Super Tigre Blueheads. We thought we were it back in the early 1970s. Few had rigs that cost more than $500 total in 1973. How I wish these Moki engines had come out back when I was flying. Some of the aircraft I am seeing on RUclips are in the $10,000 to $35,000 range. Whew! That is enough to buy a nice J3 Cub these days. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for posting it.
I really wondered for a time if the sound had been dubbed over the video. Spectacular little airplane to have such a big airplane sound! This, and the full scale SeaFury are great planes.
One of the best RC airframe/ engine combo's I've seen in 30 yrs. Lovely how a big prop completes the look on the ground and in the air. Be beautiful to watch once smooth medium scale speed is perfected. Well done to the builder and pilot.
This is really "the best ever" RC sound and scale speed ! Maybe the pitch of the prop was not high enough but the slower speed makes it look even more real, as it does not fly "too fast" ! 5 stars !!
First, let me state that I love the appearance of the classic WW2 war aircraft. Next, I wasn't alive during that war, and never really got see first hand these magnificent machines in action, but I did get to hear war-stories and also watch movies about them. Having been some airshows and museums I got to see some real aircraft on display. What I like about these RC scaled aircraft is that while they may be small, the proportions are correct. Therefore, we get to watch them in flight performing aerial maneuvers and witness just how stunningly gorgeous most of these aircraft were. If the scaled model version is built with a scaled radial engine, the right propellers, and just big enough to really give us a nice showing in the air - the viewers are given a special treat to watch. This RC model aircraft is wonderful to view static, and glorious in the air. I LOVE IT! Thank you Stefan Jahnke.
Scale propeller speed is the trick here. The insanely high speed props on some RC aircraft make for that horrid buzzing sound. Slowing the propeller down and giving it 5 blades sounds and looks right. Brilliant.
Without reading most of the other comments yet.... WOW... WOW... WOW.....!!! Not only is that the best sounding I've ever heard... Incredibly realistic sound... But..... What about that incredible flying.. Very smooth, with really nice maneuvers, which just thoroughly added to the enjoyment of this well done video... And camera man.... You deserve an oscar...
For me the slow pass at 2:10 is what absolutely sells it, hearing it burble at a similar RPM to the full scale is much more satisfying than the screaming throttle-past-the-gate runs. Either way the best sounding and looking model ever, that prop is a work of art.
Mein Gott! Endlich mal jemand der die Eier hat eine 5 Blatt auf diese Kiste zu pflastern ! :-) Daumen hoch, er steht Ihr ausgezeichnet. Wunderschönes Modell, top vorgeflogen. Bin begeistert!
Finally a great R/C model where even the engine roar has been scaled down appropriately. Congratulations to the builder and to the pilot who demonstrated great skills.
Wow! There are so many great looking scale models that sound like leaf blowers when they start up. This sounds as great as it looks. Thanks for not adding music!
Your Seafury is the best that I have seen and so scale especially with that 5 bladed prop. What a sound on those flybys. The Sea Fury has always stood out with that 5 blade propeller. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
This video is doing a really good job of persuading me to purchase gas powered engines as opposed to electric powered airplanes. Beautiful bird, awesome , awesome long flight... no annoying music. Only a great sounding workhorse.
Yes, It had that nice smooth action rather than lots of jerky aerobatics that couldn't possible be done in a real plane. Shame take offs and landing are never so well scaled. Definitely nice flying, and a beautiful sound.
Now that is a large prop - 5 blade something you hardly ever see! Sound is gorgeous - pretty much in the Kolm category. Fabulous plane, beautifully finished and flown. Nice landing considering what seemed a fairly stiff breeze. Super video Horst.

A four stroke sound is much better and this one is geared.
It's about RPM, exhaust pattern and muffling. Real airplane motors don't rev to 15k, have more than one cylinder with different pipe lengths and positions, and have long duration of each individual exhaust compared to combined exhaust frequency.

attention to detail!!!!! can't over state that!!!
The prop is the star in this one! Truly scale sized props are almost non existent!
The use of a large prop is only possible if the engine generates enough power or, as in this model, a transmission gear is installed.
In my view, this would have to be the most impressive RC warbird that I have ever seen. Great model, great pilot, great sound. The best
